Wait... OOT the same week as Europe? I was expecting OOT to come out 3-6 months from now since they got it this week.

OoT is the original I'm guessing, w/ none of the 3DS improvements added in? Which once again has me asking why Wii U can't just play 3DS games when everybody says it's the bad resolution. Which reminds me, no Advance Wars 2? I was really looking forward to playing that low resolution game on my tv.

Me too, guys. Theres so much I want that simply doesn't get released. At least we got Zelda. I got my nifty Link edition Gamecube style fightpad to test it on. I only had Majora's Mask on old Wii, because I OoT on everything else.

In my opinion, I've always felt that the 3DS iteration of Ocarina of Time is the definitive version of the game, regardless of the costs. Aside from the many enhancements made (on both a graphical and gameplay standpoint of view), it also comes packed with the Master Quest edition of the game. On a final note; it's also portable.

Yeah me and my son will have to get it for that reason. He has the grey and gold N64 versions, plus the Zelda Collection and Ocarina/Master Quest versions on Gamecube, plus the 3DS remake, plus the Wii VC version.

What a shame, would've been better to only have Shadow Dragon or Advance Wars 2 instead of Ocarina of Time if Nintendo had to choose only 1 VC game given OoT has now been released 6 times.

Nothing for mii which is alright since I just got all Sega 3D classics before the sales ended.

@ BaffleBlend You have "New Super Mario Bros." for the NDS (Wii U VC). No complaining.

I am getting frustrated with the Wii game situation. The local Walmart has Sin and Punishment for 20 bucks but I could just get it on the eshop soon. enough... if it ever comes out in NA! It's been months in Europe.

This is a pretty good week! I'm definitely getting OoT, Mercenaries Saga, and the Phoenix Wright Trilogy.

Still no Starwhal...

I'm just really disappointed in Nintendo this year. The last Wii U retail game I bought was Smash and doesn't look to good until Star Fox or Xenoblade what ever comes 1st.

Man, this week keeps getting better for me. Got four amiibo yesterday, got another one today, got payed today, I can update Ocarina of Time, and I have off the next two days. Sweet!

My favorite game of time, released again on.my birthday. I already own it on like 4 other systems though. May get that Ace Attorney Trilogy, but the Vs game has kind of turned me off some from the series in were Dual Destinies is what got me interested to begin with

Can't believe it took this long for Ocarina of Time to show up on the Wii U VC. Just one small example of how mishandled this system has been.

Anyway, I'll be picking it up and will probably play through it. I do think the 3DS version is the definitive version, but I pretty much play OOT every time I have an excuse to.

@BaffleBlend You must've gotten something wrong tehre, because usually the US gets the great games waaaaay before Europe does. But yeah, whenever it's the opposite, the Americans seem to pretend it was always like that.

I have all those ocarina of time versions from the n64 to the 3ds but not the wii vc version but I don't know if I should get it

@Spectra_Twilight ... the ds, gba, n64, snes, nes, and wii all have different hardware from the wii u. The reason why it can play these games is because they've been developed to be emlated on the wii u. A 3ds virtual console doesn't exist is because they want to keep their most current handheld console relevant and it would probably be very annoying to pull that emulation off.

Nice week. Ocarina of Time is great for those without a 3DS, those Ace Attorney discounts look nice, the original games are interesting, and Not-Bomberman is tempting depending on the discount.

Another VCless week for the 3DS. LAME.

For once there's nothing I "would" get on that list. The only thing turning my head is the Ace Attorney themes, which I may get. I wanted Ittle Dew at one point, but it fell so far into obscurity with me that I'd play anything else on my backlog.
I admit, I don't get disappointed in releases anymore, it just gives me an excuse to catch up games and dig into my wishlist. All I'm waiting for is this:

Mighty No. 9
Devil's Third
StarFox Zero
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Shovel Knight (stuff)
Xeodrifter free Wii U crossbuy (I have the 3DS version but haven't touched it yet)
... And the rest are games that were announced and "could" come out this year, but seriously, other than Earthbound Beginnings shocking me, there's nothing that interests me.

Does anyone know if they ever fixed that issue I heard of way back where there's no sound from the gamepad if you play in off-TV mode? Were there other sort of glitches too that I'm forgetting or was it just that?

Although...if Mercenaries Saga gets a good review and really is just like FF Tactics...

@rjejr Probably because those are done by an emulator, it is a lot harder to emulate the 3DS.

@sinalefa - You're so funny. I'll tell ya what, if you say it on the correct day I'll let ya know. Hopefully I'll be doing something better on my birthday than commenting on here though so I might have to let you know a day later.

@ikki5 - Yeah, I get that it would be a little harder to do, what I don't get is that whenever I bring up PLAYING 3DS games on the Wii U people tell me I can't b/c the low resolution on the 3DS screens would make it be unviewable on the tv. But my copy of Advance Wars on Wii U says otherwise.

@DarthNocturnal - Well I wish whoever ported Xenoblade to 3DS and Hyrule Warriors to 3DS would port a couple of games like Kid Icarus and Luigi's Mansion 2 to Wii U. Is it that much easier to port Wii and Wii U games to 3DS than 3DS games to Wii U?

(I'm not an idiot, I know its an install base thing going in that direction, just saying.)

Loving those Ace Attorney themes.

Haven't voted or commented these Nintendo Download updates in a while. Nothing had caught my eye until Capcom finally released the Ace Attorney 3DS Home Themes to the west! Also, update my Legend of Zelda: Ocraina of Time for 2$ isn't bad.

As the N64 games come out (I haven't owned a nintendo system since then), I keep thinking there should be a way to send nintendo a picture of me with my zelda cartridge and the serial, and still get the digital version for 2 dollars. I remember spending 110$ on Zelda. N64 games were expensive! Help me out here nintendo.

Would be downloading OoT if I didn't already have the 3D version for 3DS. I'd also be getting Duel Destinies if I didn't already have that. I'm tempted to pick up the Ace Attorney Trilogy if the price was a bit lower, around $15 and I'd definitely be picking it up.

It's really annoying they only released OoT, as it's had plenty of releases already. If they had released FE: Shadow Dragon I would have most certainly be buying that this week. But I suppose Ninty simply likes make people's lives difficult.

Will definitely be looking into the Phoenix Wright games, don't know if I'll get both, but most likely I'll pick up one of them.

@Spectra_Twilight So I guess by the logic, the Wii U possibly isn't powerful enough to emulate GameCube games? After all, the GameCube was the last console where Nintendo took power seriously.

I like my wiiu (have a ps3 n ps4) play my wiiu more then both of them. wish there was more big name games for my wiiu but .....

I will buy the nx but i'm sure for years to come I will still be my wiiu.

This game is special to me. I only played it a couple times in the late nineties. A part of me wants to buy it, a part of me wants to keep it as memory--righteous gaming of what stood as the last pillar of my innocence. What in the world does that mean!? I'll have to see if I have the money for Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. Did some donating today, so leisure can probably wait a week.

Dude! Mercenaries 2 is AMAZING! It really is FFT meets Tactic Ogre with a little FE in the mix when dealing with classes. Going to power level everyone find the classes and grind that SP for all the skills! The look is retro, the game play is fluid, the art work is well done, and for 5 dollars you CAN NOT pass this up! I cant wait for the review guys and I hope you enjoy this "bargain" game as much as I because damn, you get your money and then some!

@Garet_Jax you need to try it! loving every second, a little grindy if you want to power up your guys over the limit but its def worth the 5 dollar gamble, its a safe bet!

I'll be picking up Ocarina of Time, mercenaries saga 2, and probably the Ace Attorney Trilogy. I've never played any of the AA games or even anything similar to the genre, so I'm always hesitant to buy it.

3ds version is the best. I also have N64 hooked up along with my copy of OOT limited edition.

Picking up the phrasebook. I hope they can do more stuff like this. Yeah, I know its better to buy an iphone or android app, but i want to support knowledge so maybe they will keep making stuff like this.

Hm, might as well get Zelda seeing as it's only two bucks to upgrade. I have enough versions of it already but I'll probably play it again on the gamepad anyway.
