Ok, I'm no digital foundry and I haven't played much S1 games on S2 but (tested in handheld)

• Pokken appears to be less blurry and some background elements seem to move smoother (the Marowak in the beach stage in particular)
• Tried a little bit of Astral Chain and it looks a little crisper?

Got it at launch but traded it in (bear with me). TBH, I'm not really into the battle hub or the single player adventure mode personally and I'm not that keen how some unlockables (costumes mainly) require fighter points (only bought with real money).
That said, I might get it again if I find it cheap elsewhere in a few years time or if there's a 'Super' edition/upgrade in the future. For now, I'll wait it out.

In a world of ai, I can completely understand why some VAs are reluctant to do voices that maybe be recorded as you just know someone will use it for nefarious purposes. IIRC, Zeldas VA spoke about why Nintendo themselves aren't keen on VAs doing those sort of things if people use the samples for unpleasant objectives

I prefer the western boxart. Sort of gives off that 'Hey, Street Fighter is back and all your favourites are here. We also brought along some new faces to keep things the fight interesting' feel. I also like the warm colours too that has a 'things are heating up in battle' vibe

@Pastellioli She wasn't considered for Transformed but she did finish highly in a Sega poll for wanted characters (2nd iirc). They opted for Ryo from Shenmue for the PC port in the end. I'm guessing using a character that Sega owns rather than Miku would have been easier.

I suppose it could be fine if we knew who the developer is. Granted, it's Gamemill published so that gives me an 'OK at best' vibe. The trailer doesn't show off much besides SpongeBob and maybe a hint at Fairly Odd Parents but it's not showing off much in the Nicktoons department

@Yalloo It'll all be copied over so you can still use your original Switch. That said, any games that don't support cloud saves will be moved over to the new system

@TwinFami I would assume because if they did that, they'd have to add relevant themes based on specific series. For example, the clock interface, animations, chimes, the wake up alarm, the sound effects when you're getting out of bed, the 'victory' music for getting out of bed etc.

Should be worth noting for anyone considering getting the base game digitally because it's cheaper- don't. Each fighters pack is £26 on the eShop so if you do want to get the Fighters Year 1-2 edition later, you'd be paying £87 for the entire experience as opposed to just £50 for the entire game in one go.

I don't know if its because I've been spoilt by the ones in Pokémon but those save data bonuses don't seem all that impressive unless they have special/exclusive functions. Ah well, can't complain if it's free* little thing

While it is a shame he wasn't credited as the composer of the song, it should be worth noting that all the original Banjo Kazooie songs in Smash Ultimate are not credited to Grant Kirkhope either. They're listed as 'Composition and arrangement Copyright Microsoft'. I mean if we're going to jump at Nintendo about this, surely some criticism could be aimed at Microsoft too in regards to this. They own all Rare properties and rights so you could argue that Grant Kirkhope should've been credited for that. Of course, technically Nintendo should be credited on all post-2014 ports of Bayonetta as they use JP dub which was paid for and therefore owned by Nintendo but I suppose that's different because Mario Kart World is $80

Anyway, from what I understand is that when a company has commissioned a work, said would own it completely.

A Switch 2 case (for ease of carrying with me), an MicroSD Express (just to play safe for storage over the next few months) and the Street Fighter 6 amiibo card starter pack (because I'm getting SF6 as my launch title)

Personally, I don't feel the need to rush to get all accessories. I don't NEED them so early in the systems lifespan or at all. Whether people feel the same way as me, I don't know.

I don't get it. Some random Twitter user/content creator posted the 'Remember guys, it's always morally correct to pirate Nintendo games' meme so surely that's enough to prove their innocence.
I look forward to the day when someone gets taken to court by Nintendo and their defence is solely 'They can't do that actually' because someone in a comments section said so and it turns out that, no, that's not legally sound advice.

This got me to thinking. When you think about it Donkey Kong Bananza is a sort of 'What if Nintendo tried to make a Rare game'. It's probably the inanimate objects with cartoony eyes.

Anyway, could you imagine if ActiBlizzion were the ones had acquired Rare instead of Microsoft (which apparently they almost did)? Man, they would have run that series into the ground where people would be sick of the franchise due to entries being of varying and samey quality

I don't think I could possibly choose. One thing for sure is as time has gone by is launch line ups sure get more variety these days.

That said if I had to pick one, I'd say Switch. The lead up felt so huge like we were putting the Wii U's mistakes behind us and starting a fresh. We had a solid line up and we knew we had more coming for the rest of the year. There was an air of optimism about things. Also Zelda. It was referred to as 'Switchmas' and that's what it felt like...a second Christmas.

Lukewarm take here but I don't get theory that this game would launch alongside Switch 2. Don't get me wrong the game looks wonderful but if the Switch 2 is going to launch with something like...Switch 2 games to show off the hardware. I mean, it could come out in a similar time window but I can't see it being the killer app.
I have a similar sentiment towards Z-A. It's going to be Nintendo's big holiday title much like previous games. I can see it having a special edition Switch Lite releasing alongside it though.

This is a great update and the Alarmo is a nice device for my money*. I did find having to change the alarm each and every day to be a bit of an inconvenience. Also extending Sleepy Sounds beyond 5 mintes is good too as sometimes I'll trigger by accident before I'm settled in bed

*I won it in a contest so yeah, totally worth it 😛. Seriously though I am impressed by it. As many have said, I'd love to get a DKC theme along with a Kirby one too. They'd lend themselves well to it
