@SteveDaSteve I don’t support Switch piracy either, but older consoles and games are getting overly expensive which is one of the reasons why people emulate and homebrew them in the first place especially if they’re no longer available physically or digitally (3DS and Wii U eshops for digital)

When I went to go see the Mario Movie with my friends one of them and I we were pointing out the references in the theater, I loved seeing all of the Nintendo nods but I wish they referenced more modern Nintendo games too. I also watched Vinny’s recent stream of the Mario anime movie from 1986 and it was really interesting to see after watching this one

Really glad to see it did so well, it deserves it! Fun fact: while BG3 and TotK are tied on Metacritic, Prime Remastered is the third highest rated game of the year on there. It’s my second favorite I played this year with TotK being first so I guess it shows how much of a good year it was for Nintendo

On the other hand for me, I like both the linear and open world styles of Zelda so I don’t mind either of them being the main formula for the series. I put 120+ hours into TotK but I only put 30 into WW and they’re both some of my favorite Zeldas. I wonder if we can see a mix of them in the future?

@graviton Lmao that’s ridiculous. Xenoblade is kind of niche though and they probably thought it was another anime game but I’m glad it’s gotten the love it deserves. Also I’d like to play BG3 someday as it looks really cool but I’ve never touched DND in my life haha

Really glad TotK won something, it totally deserves it! I loved every minute of it and I’m glad I got to play such an amazing game. I’m also planning on playing the rest of the Zelda games I haven’t played because of it. Also to the Spider-Man 2 fans, congratulations as you’re now experiencing the same pain Xenoblade fans felt last year!

I had hope for TotK winning GOTY but I’m still glad it won something since it definitely deserved an award. I haven’t played BG3 but from what I’ve heard about it I’m glad it won! TotK and Prime Remastered both won GOTY in my heart, it was also nice seeing a game I played this year win something after XC3 won nothing last year. Flute guy was awesome too!

Whenever the Zelda movie releases I’m planning on going back and reading these comments including ones elsewhere online to see how well they aged or not (and if they were warning signs)

@FaroreAbhorsen the original Metroid Prime already won a lot of GotY awards when it released 20 years ago so maybe it’s why it isn’t there? It really should be though

@TruthisRare I’m playing WW HD for the first time and I’d love to see it on Switch. It literally has an option to play it in handheld mode, did Nintendo forget about that? I plan on playing TP eventually but I hope it comes to Switch too

@the_beaver Fellow Xenoblade fan here, I thought Torna was better than 2 and I’m sorry but I thought FR wasn’t very good compared to the base game. It’s still great but my opinion of it has changed a lot over time
