If I can find them anywhere then yeah, they’ll 100% be sold out in stores when I go later in the day. 2 isn’t my favorite game in the series but any sort of merch for the series itself makes me happy
Good to see it’s a great game! I’ve only played Pikmin 1 and haven’t touched 4’s demo yet, been meaning to play more of the franchise so I’ll consider giving it a go in the future. The game looks gorgeous too
Gg to everyone! I was team Strawberry and although I’m still shocked how we got 0p in total it doesn’t really matter to me since everyone gets the snails in the end. I haven’t been playing much anyways bc of TotK
@KidSparta Agreed, tricolor was not good at all. I’m not a fan of the map since it’s just another Tetris block
The side quests in Xenoblade 3 are the best in the series. I still remember a good amount of the npcs when I can hardly remember the ones from 1/2 or Torna. Considering Aionios’s setting, the side quests are really meaningful when the soldiers are trying to survive and find a purpose other than fighting. You could also count hero quests as side quests since they’re optional, they provide great world building for the heroes and you get to see individual stories other than the main one play out. Even the 4/6 out of the side stories for the main characters are optional, I still don’t understand why they weren’t required but they provide so much to them. Other than Xenoblade, the side quests in TotK are memorable too. The Hateno Village quest was one of my favorites, I still have plenty more to do but the ones I’ve done provide insight into Link’s adventure and Hyrule itself. It’s funny how a lot of the world building comes from the quests, you can count the memories as side quests too since they’re optional. But honestly? Side quests are important to the series in general. Fetch side quests are annoying but at least you get an award (sometimes)
@Bigmanfan I never believed him anyways, he’s gotten several things wrong like there being a mini Direct in this June along with Metroid Prime 2/3 getting remastered alongside 1. I’ve just heard of the Zelda rumors elsewhere, maybe they’ll eventually be on Switch but idk. Also nice to see another Splatoon fan! Shiver is my favorite out of Deep Cut but Frye and Big Man are cool too
@hippoeater They’re known for bashing “mainstream” games and praising shovelware, don’t focus your energy on them. It’s clear this is just an average party game and is nowhere close to being on the same quality as TotK or even Pikmin 4
Found it funny how websites hesitated reviewing this because they don’t want to acknowledge the existence of this game lol. I went to Target a day after its release and they usually put new games in the front of the Switch section and the game was in the back with 3rd party games, it’s so sad it’s funny. Anyways buy TotK or Xenoblade 3, or if you want a party game play any other Mario Party
Mario myth #9: When you get the elephant power-up in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, elephant Mario jumps out of the screen, says “its elephantin’ time” and elephants all over the place and the player + forces them to buy Everybody 1-2 Switch Is it true?: Find out on October 20th!
@Pres_Shinra Switch Sports was so disappointing, you couldn’t even use the leg strap that came with the game at launch. Even Wii Sports Resort has more content, same can be said for even the original Wii Sports. It makes me scared of a potential Wii Party on Switch or the sportsmates replacing Miis. I just hope 1-2 Switch isn’t replacing Party for good
Warioware was the highlight of the Direct for me, not too big on 2D Mario and I’m not super interested in SMRPG (some of the songs are good though, I’ll have to listen to the new soundtrack once the songs are ripped). I may buy Pikmin 1&2 eventually although I can play them on my Wii, still debating on Pikmin 4 but it looks cool! Also L for putting Splatoon on there, all they did was announce a Splatfest with absolutely no Side Order news. Hopefully they pull a Future Redeemed and drop it out of nowhere, easily the biggest disappointment of the Direct for me
@Dom_31 Wave 5 looks to be Moebius based (N and M were shown) so I believe we’ll get some of them including some missing characters. I think we’ll be getting N, M, D, Z, J, S, the true Queens and some other characters
@Moonlessky True since Zelda is so popular, but those games got their chances to shine during the time and still do within their own spaces. As a huge Xenoblade fan the hype for 3 was great (even to the point of the CEs crashing the Nintendo store) but I have to admit it’s not as popular as other Nintendo franchises. Future Redeemed didn’t get marketed much since it was coming out in a week after the announcement and contains spoilers for the entire Xeno series, so I believe it’s why Nintendo didn’t show much of it. Although it isn’t as popular, the love for the series is amazing. Can’t say the same for Kirby since I’m not very invested in it but Forgotten Land was fun. Splatoon is a whole other story, it’s insanely popular in Japan and has a good amount of that popularity outside of it. Out of the three Xenoblade caters more towards a specific audience while Splatoon and Kirby are more widely loved, but they all have their dedicated audiences who appreciate them.
I really hope this shows up in a Direct soon. Dataminers found the reward for beating Side Order in the Sizzle Season data so I think it’s coming a lot sooner than expected. But will it be as hard as Octo Expansion? 🤔 @Cashews I can see where you’re coming from but it was cool having the Splatoon 1 plaza and characters again. Some aspects of it could be improved but it’s good for what it is. Since the expansion is $25 the plaza is technically $5 and SO is $20 like OE
I would like to see a Direct but I won’t get my hopes up. I personally feel there should be a few more things scheduled for the rest of the year asides from Pikmin and various dlcs, but TotK is keeping most people occupied right now (like me!) so I can see people not wanting a Direct. Seeing TotK dlc and Side Order news would be great for me. Also, weren’t there a few EPD 4 games announced not in a Direct?
The Gloom Hands scared me when I first saw them but didn’t compare to when I defeated them and out popped a Phantom Ganon which I was not ready for 🥶 I wasn’t expecting the trees to get up and start walking either
I don’t use Dolphin since both my Wii and Wii U are homebrewed with several games on them, but some people don’t have an option to play on the original consoles. I’d like it if Nintendo could release a good Virtual Console on the Switch instead of the games on NSO, or just rerelease their older games more often. If Nintendo refuses to rerelease Rhythm Heaven Fever or Xenoblade X I’ll find another way to play them

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 15th)
95 hours on TotK, on the final quest but now is the perfect time for side quests! I’ve been playing in the Splatfest too

What about the GX remaster that’s been rumored? Is Nintendo holding it hostage like with WW and TP HD?
