This ad is so tone-deaf I want to write a 20 page essay about it. Too bad no one can hear me scream because of the mountain of money this franchise does every year.
@PessitheMystic this comment seems to make a lot of assumptions. While her comment on PTSD does seem a bit more metaphorical than literal, or even a bit poorly worded, there’s nothing wrong with treasuring a piece of artistic work you’ve been a part of.
It’s also important that we, players, fans, consumers make our voices heard. Just look at something like the Resident evil games english localizations - constantly changing to avoid union actors, to save a few bucks, even if it affects the final product negatively in terms of continuity and perception for those that care about it the most.
One of my favorite games ever. While everything can be cheesed and gunned down if you want to, the rewards come from finding all the unique ways you have available to assasinate your targets and accomplish objectives
@gamerswereamistake Yes. Yes. Yes. It felt self contained, focused and character driven, without any of the detracting noise and constant jumping around the rest of the show does.
@Impossibilium There's a thousand reasons to critique Gameloft, but as least do so for the right reasons. The game can be played offline. Obviously needs to be online to get new game updates.
This has annoyed me to no end. "We didn't want to do anything with it, so we removed all of it"
There's still guardian tech in all the towers, which would've disappeared if all the other stuff did. Massively disappointed by the lack of consistency, despite loving the game.
Capcom has been doing great with all their franchises recently. All RE games since 7 are in my backlog, and I'm not really into Street Fighter or Monster Hunter, but I can appreciate that fans are getting great stuff from them.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising was a great game. Despite some of the Ubisoft map bloat, if you can deal with that and do the main quest and side stuff without going all OCD on every single map icon, you'll have a great time, especially on a strong device.
@Dj64Mk7 At this early point, Tencent investments are more about long term influenced ownership, and not so much about short term changes in how companies function. Also to increase their own bottom line. If they own a bit of everything, they'll get a piece of every pie that is baked.
I'm not a fan of them, as much as I wish Saudi-Arabia didn't own a big part of Nintendo.
Great games. Having said that, it seems that Ubisoft overestimated the appeal of a strategy game in console.
Personally, I know some normies who bought the first game and were surprised and disappointed it wasn’t a platformer.
You could say they should’ve looked at the back of the box, but really, that’s not always how a lot of casuals do think. They see Mario.
That’s how the low effort Mario sports game sell 3+ million units. Name.

Re: Pokémon Executives On Anime Return Of Ash And Pikachu: "Anything Is Possible"
@Jhena If anything, relying entirely on nostalgia and only doing the same thing over and over again is what has utterly stagnated this franchise.

Pokemon, unfortunately, has been much more a factory business than craft since 2000.
Re: Review: Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal (Switch) - Small But Potent QoL Additions Keep 47 Spry
A fantastic game that somehow runs terrible? Get the dirt cheap PC version instead. The screenshots here make it look absolutely awful.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC To Get A Free Epilogue Next Month
A "free" epillogue, yet the premiss is that you buy a DLC pass for a broken game.

Great games with a limited appeal.
Many bought the first one and were disappointed it was not a platformer.
Probably one of the best selling games of its genre.
Ubisoft does itself no favors by how they devalue their own games, even their great ones.
