Another children’s game from Outright with one hour of content, that crashes when you press the start button? These guys shouldn’t be allowed to make or publish games. Beyond broken.
Snowpeak Ruins from TP is my fav. It's atmosphere is totally unique and unlike anything else in the series. It really felt as if I was cleaning someone elses house, and having fun doing it. Weird stuff.
Hoping Totk has a combination of older style dungeons and the smaller bite size ones from BOTW. While I enjoyed all the puzzle shrines and beasts from a gameplay perspective, they could've needed more unique art and overall presentation.
@Rocky2418 The entire point is to get you to click and engage. The same way they "warn" about broken streetdates and roms being out for new games. It's counter productive for us who want to consume good content, but farms easy engagement.
Also, didn't Ash win in the Orange Isles arc? That was the last one I watched.
@Max_the_German A new gimmick, like the WiiU after Wii, has me worried. Nintendo hardware seems to be successful by accident, and fail by the obvious.
@Dr_Luigi How passionate volunteers have made a better product than Nintendo is insane. If it wasn’t for the major corporate culture disconnect, they would’ve hired a bunch of those people to build the service for them.
Ugh. Renewal is coming up this weekend. At this point, the only feature we’re dependant on is cloud saves.
It would be so simple for them add Gameboy/GBC/GBA, but they’d rather drip feed their loyal customers than give them access to a true evergreen service.
Long live my beautiful emulated collection, while my physical versions stand pretty on the shelf, with ever growing collector’s value.
Pacing does seem to be the biggest issue of many open world games. See every modern Ubisoft bloatfest. I’m currently playing Immortals Fenyx Rising, which was great for the first 20 hours, but has turned into a slog.
This seemed like such a missed upportunity for Nintendo. The game was a surprise smash hit, they should’ve capitalized on it by making paid expansions forever, The Sims style
@Ryu_Niiyama I don't have to refute any fanboyism which creates artifical limits for us as consumers.
Nintendo has the momentum, again. Would be a shame to fall, again.
I want more and better games for all players, something you should support. Tech has moved a long way since 2017.
WiiU also made a profit per console sold, but since they couldn't sell enough of them or thereby games, Nintendo could've seized to exist as we know them.
Just having a good version of Call of Duty on the platform could make a big impact on software sales.
@Paraka Sony is betting on their "Too big to fail" approach to exclusives. It's a bit Marvel Studios-esque in approach, for my taste. They'll all be on PC eventually anyway.
@shgamer Indeed, no excuse. The 360 version performs and looks better.
It's one of my favourite games, and I had hoped to introduce it to a few Switch friends. Unfortunately this version damages the brand so much that even the thought of AW2 on PC and other consoles sours in my mouth.
For third party games to be of consistent good quality, the Switch needs to have power equilant or higher than the Xbox Series S. That would make it less of an effort for developers and fewer trade-offs.
Nintendo players deserve that much.
Crossing my fingers, but preparing to be disappointed.
@Ara Your opinions are valid for a multitude of reasons. Some people will take offense because they want to engage in bad faith arguments for «the lulz». Can’t wait to get a hold of a steam deck myself.
Nintendo corporate are missing out on ways to grow their business.
@Dezzy70 Nintendo could keep making Nintendo games. BOTW is a great example of a game that even in 2017 would’ve been great on a stronger platform. Doesn’t need to be like the massive «too big to fail» Sony titles. Nintendo game strenghts are art and design.
But the machine itself SHOULD be able to run whatever a third party would want to make, without massive compromises. See X series S for example.
@Dezzy70 Some want to be special for the sake of being special. Right now Nintendo rakes in cash profits on systems sales alone, no attach rate required. My humble thesis is that they’d make a ton more with full 3rd party catalogues, even if console sales themselves wouldn’t net profit.
I’ve never been able to get into Monster Hunter. Played a couple of hours of Rise, despite fine gameplay, it couldn’t hold me. I’m one of those weird people who would jump on a narrative driven Monster Hunter, but I also know that’s not what series’ fans want.

Re: Random: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Glitch Lets You Skip School (And The Story)
I skipped the entire game by not buying it. This is Cyberpunk 2077 level garbage.
We as fans, deserve better.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?
I'm sad, but not surprised, at the fandom for accepting this technical mess and making excuses for the biggest IP in the world.
Players deserve a great Pokemon game.
Giant mess / 10.

Botting in a game sure says a lot about how interesting it is to play.
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto, Creator Of Super Mario And Zelda At Nintendo, Turns 70
Well deserving of retirement when the time comes.
Seems as if he still has passion for his job, and I hope his fire will burn for many more years.

Re: Games Market Expected To Decline 4.3% Globally This Year, According To Newzoo
Insane that half is trash mobile games.
Anyway. a decline that is less of a % than most countries current yearly inflation is fine. We're gonna be fine.
Re: Random: God Of War: Ragnarok Director Shares Five NES Games That Inspired Him
That Legend of Zelda thing was fine. They should try to make a modern sequel.
Re: Video: Hogwarts Legacy Shows Off Magical New Gameplay Footage
@SonOfDracula You're probably right.
On topic: I'm scared of how this will perform on Switch. Sonic seemed fine though.

Re: Nintendo Considering "Various Initiatives" And "Further Enhancements" For The Switch Online Service
Here's a simple recipe:
1) Give the people what they want
2) People throw ungodly amounts of money at Nintendo
3) Collect money
Repeat.

Won’t play it for a looooong time, but popping needlessly into this thread to say that I’m happy Sonic fans seem to be enjoying it!

Re: While Old Games Are Easily Delivered, Nintendo Is Focused On New Experiences, Says Miyamoto
@Dr_Luigi we literally want more reasons to give them money and they don’t understand why that’s a potential good thing for them.
Re: While Old Games Are Easily Delivered, Nintendo Is Focused On New Experiences, Says Miyamoto
Bullcrap excuse for continued drip feed approach.
Value added services can be evergreen free money, in addidion to new releases.
Good thing all my games run good on emulators.

No rest for the wicked, they have to be ambitious else we'll have another disaster.

Don't ever buy cloud versions. One day the servers will shut down.
On another hand: I've been playing wholes games on Game Pass Streaming recently. Works great, but it's only an OPTION.
