Famitsu is back with the latest look at the boxed charts in Japan, and unsurprisingly, Pokémon Pokopia is still on top by a fair margin.
That said, its sales have slowed down a little. If you remember, it managed a whopping 114,515 units last week, but this week it's only managed 48,772. We say "only" like that's a bad thing, and it really isn't, but it definitely looks like the momentum is starting to ease up.
Elsewhere, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection makes its debut with 18,238 units sold on Switch, while Super Mario Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition also gets off to a reasonable start with 10,158 units sold. Otherwise, Winning Post 10 2026 comes in at number eight on the Switch with 4,747 units sold in its opening week.

There's very little change with the hardware chart this week; again, sales for the Switch 2 have dropped slightly from last time by just under 16,000 units, but it's still way ahead of the competition.
Japan is clearly favouring the PS5 Digital Edition at the moment thanks to the cheap, single-language SKU that's available in the region, but we suspect the other consoles will drop off even more now that prices have gone up.
All three Switch SKUs this week total 18,542, while the three PS5 SKUs combined total 19,404. A win for the PS5, then! Y'know, if you ignore the Switch 2... Heh.

Star Force is in second - yay! (even though I got bored after an hour and don’t plan on going back anytime soon, because, well, I’m also not an RPG guy…)
Definitely would like to see the console sales next week after the price increase for the PS5
Nice to see Star Force in the Japanese charts at 2. It's been a blast replaying these games after all these years.
Of course Pokopia's sales had to slow down at some point even in Japan, but man am I glad that it's still on top and selling so much despite that!
Also personally happy to see the Star Force collection debut in 2nd (guess my physical copy I got on Japanese Amazon is among those sales), the Switch 2 Edition of Wonder debuting in 3rd, World in 4th, Stories 3 in 5th, FireRed & LeafGreen in 7th (not selling that much although funnily enough it's still quite the jump, almost half of its current physical sales), Fever in 9th and of course Switch 2 still on top of the hardware charts and selling so much!
Looks like the fad is over. It had a good run.
Switch2 will hit 5million in Japan alone this time next week, all being well. That’s a number of Switch2 games now in the million seller club as well, good to see.
I would like to see some EU charts
Pokopia is a very impressive game. I wasn't planning on getting it until I saw that it was made by the devs of Dragon Quest Builders. I always wanted those and I had a blast with the demo of the second one but never catched them on sale. I was worried about Pokopia feeling less engaging because it doesn't have combat but nope, it's definitely addictive and fun. I do try to avoid playing it for too long as I feel that games like this and Animal Crossing work better that way.
Outside of Pokopia these sales seem pretty low. Like, even Stories 3 (its series wasn't a big seller in Japan to begin with) has had a notable drop in sales.
I was in Japan the week it came out. Could not find a physical copy in the whole Tokyo.
I think these slow sales are mostly due to stock shortages.
Really just want anything new with Mega Man, please Capcom lol
I've never seen such a drop from what was an extremely popular game 2 weeks ago. It definitely lacks any longevity outside the story
I think it's important to remember that Switch 2 isn't even a year old yet, and as a Pokemon game, Pokopia isn't a game that people will stop caring about once its limelight is over. You'll have people in the coming years buy a copy when they get a Switch 2 as more people pick up the new console.
