After last week's OLED shenanigans things were a little calmer this time around, though there was still some intriguing news. Atlus is teasing big things for the Persona series, there's a remarkably expensive Mario watch from Tag Heuer, and there has been a lot of focus on a potential simple fix for the dreaded Joy-Con drift. Oh, and Valve's Steam Deck is a bit like a supercharged Switch.
It's now time to unwind a little and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

Like many people I'll be jumping - and promptly whistling - into The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. It's a game that enraptured me way back in the day on Wii, so I'm looking forward to revisiting the story; I'll probably alternate between TV + motion controls and portable + button controls. Oh, and I'll be wearing headphones a lot, because the soundtrack is divine.
Outside of Switch gaming I'll be doing a little grinding in the online part of MLB The Show 21, because you can actually build up a very tasty 'Diamond Dynasty' online team without spending a penny, and I'm still enjoying the latest entry in the series a great deal.

Another lovely weekend spent in the company of the mighty Switch. While I am certain most my peers will be diving into The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD I will instead continue to brave forth in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Interesting stuff as always on the eShop and I was eager to pick up Risk System to scratch my shmup itch, and it did not disappoint. Unless a miracle strikes, I will also be twiddling my thumbs until a certain package labelled ‘SEGA Astro City Mini’ pops up at the door...
Game of the week would have been Streets of Rage 4: Mr X’s Nightmare DLC but Dotemu dictated otherwise. Not all hope was lost because at long last Is It Wrong To Try to Shoot'em Up Girls In A Dungeon? stealth released this past Thursday and it's the best 99p I’ve put on the eShop in recent memory.

I recently started Bravely Default for the 3DS, and intend to continue my journey there this weekend. So far, I’m liking the general pace and gameplay structure just a bit more than its recent Switch sequel. Having direct control over random encounter rates is massive, and there’s something about the chibi art style that really works well considering the hardware.
Aside from that, I recently began a co-op playthrough of Huntdown with a friend, and hope to wrap that this weekend. Huntdown was a game that I just bought on a whim once and I am forever glad for that impulse decision. The action platforming here is sublime and the pixel art is impressively well done.

Hope you're all well. This weekend, I'll be starting The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. I played it back in 2011 (with the gold Wiimote and everything!), but the game didn't quite gel with me as much as I'd hoped; in fact, I'll be honest, it's the only 3D Zelda title I've not actually completed! Hopefully with the new changes in place I'll enjoy it a bit more this time around.
Elsewhere, I've restarted Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS5; that game is just exceptional, isn't it? Some of the best characters ever to feature in a video game, in my opinion. Have a good one, everyone!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

Replaying Ys 8 on PS4, Disgaea 6 on Switch, replaying Metroid Zero Mission on GBA, Muramasa Rebirth on Vita. Bit of a variety pack.
I finished Act 2 of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition today, so I'm gonna get to work on Act 3 this weekend! When I'm playing with friends, I'll jump between Mario Golf: Super Rush and Dead By Daylight. If I have any extra time, I'll keep working on Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, which I'm thoroughly enjoying so far.
After finishing Mother 3 over the last 3 days it's now time to give my switch some time with my new zelda joycons and Skyward Sword!!!
R-Type Final 2 has really sucked me in, so I'll be trying to beat that.
I feel like giving Persona 5 Strikers another shot. I got sidetracked and abandoned it way too quickly when it released.
And it's time to get romantic in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
ETA: also, I just remembered the Smash Bros Ultimate event this weekend. I really want the Sakuna spirits, so I'll be trying to get those.
I’ll be continuing Ori Will of the whisps and Two point hospital. Also have some short sessions on the Mega Drive mini. I did pick up Skyward Sword. I originally played on Wii with the gold remote plus. I’ll wait to finish some other games before starting this.
Bioshock 2 (ps4/ps5) - beat infinite last week and 1 this week, now I’m finally playing 2. Love this entire trilogy!
Dishonoured GOTY (ps4/ps5) - bought the arkane collection and I’m finally gonna play dishonoured now.
Wolfenstein the new order (ps4/ps5) - also bought the alt history collection. Really excited to play this.
Pokemon shield (NS) - at over 1k eggs now for dhelmise, gonna shiny breed phantump after.
I finished ABZU last night, was really great. It reminded me a lot of Gris (gorgeous colourful world, no death, artsy fartsy, vague plot) so I’m in the mood to experience that again.
This week I will be mostly playing
Star Fox Command (2 endings left)
Skyward Sword
I'll be playing the OUTSTANDING Mark of the Ninja Remastered. It's been in my backlog for ages. I'm about 3/4's of the way through and it just keeps getting better. What a game!
Mr Driller - Drill Land - I bought it on sale last week despite not really enjoying the demo. Now I'm hooked. It's seriously difficult though, at least on original GameCube difficulty.
Thunderforce AC - Love it.
Ninia Saviours - Love it too.
And a fair amount of Rocket League.
This weekend i played something different. 🙂

1. Rocket Power: Beach Bandits Gamecube
2. Yokai Watch 2: Bony Spirits 3DS
I have reached the place to investigate Wishing Water for Rocket Power: Beach Bandits. Looking at Nickelodeon games on consoles during early 2000's era was so outdated but i saw something decent to play just to feed my curiosity.
I have reached chapter six (Yokai Watch Model Zero) for Yokai Watch 2: Bony Spirits. That was pretty fast as my team were still under level 20.
gonna pick up skyward sword hd today, might revisit no more heroes 1 since i haven't played it with motion controls and then either some more miitopia or continuing with Yakuza 0
I picked up Skyward Sword, but going to leave it in the shrink wrap for a bit. I’m currently playing Final Fantasy VI for the first time, and thoroughly enjoying it. It has a level of goofiness I just wasn’t expecting. Great fun.
I'll be playing skyward sword HD as well as mario golf super rush and my planned replay of the outer worlds as I have the dlc now.
Naah, I'm actually in the middle of Twilight Princess HD.
I’m playing Super Robot Wars T, and a little bit of Pinball FX3.
This may change after my birthday tomorrow. My son is really excited to get me Super Mario 3D World so we can play together.
Playing and trying to finish Super Robot Wars X before SRW 30 release
Hold on! Where is Kate and what is she playing we need to know! Playing Mario 3D world on switch and borrowing modern warfare 2019 from my nephew tomorrow xxx
The focus will be on Monster Hunter Stories 2 though will redeem the gold points from my physical version of Skyward Sword HD.
With Skyward Sword HD seemingly being my last Switch purchase before September the focus for Switch this summer will be completing MH Stories 2, Skyward Sword HD, MH Rise and Bravely Default II.
Switch for September - December 2021 is going to be completely insane.
I'm playing favorites.
I am continuing my Metroid replay marathon, and am at the end of Fusion. The SA-X is kicking my butt...
Also, might finally beat Captain Toad (3DS version) and play more Aliens: Infestation (DS).
Have a great weekend everyone!
Started playing Glyph yesterday, so will likely make more progress on that. (Even in the initial levels, grabbing those cosmetic avatars are no easy feat in the slightest!)
And will likely also play more of my roguelike chill known as Darkest Dungeon.
Switch - More Miitopia!
PS5 (Yes, I finally got my hands on one!) - Demon's Souls!
PC - Garry's Mod with friends!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Neo Geo games and...Skyward Sword!
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Making decent progress in this so far. Trying to escape a madman.
Minecraft: Story Mode (Windows 10) - Starting Episode 4 now.
Doodle God (Windows Phone) - Coming back to finish this off now.
Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Golf and some Game Builder Garage
Mario Golf Super Rush and Monster Hunter Rise for the most the weekend. Ah, I still have Doki Doki to play as well.
SKYWARD SWORD AND PILLAR OF ETERNITY
Also Monster hunter: wings of ruin
Current mission: An invisible Enemy
I got Skyward Sword delivered yesterday and I have already started it. It’s nice to get back to a Zelda game and I never played this on Wii.
And after seeing the E3 trailer for BOTW2, I reckon SS is connected with that game. Nintendo loves to troll us.
Ocarina of Time
1. Skyward Sword HD
2. Zeus + Poseidon
3. Rising Kingdoms
Finally tried Rocket League and it's pretty damn fun, but I uninstalled it for the time being nonetheless, what with my lower priority for multiplayer-only titles and the game eating up most of my remaining internal memory. I had actually kept Sakuna in said memory until the carball sampling in question, and that's where it will be returning now.
This week on Switch has been particularly Terrarialicious, but I've also picked up the Sakuna spirits in Smash, and a few more previously missed spirits from other franchises besides. Other Switch plans include FAR Lone Sails and Burnout Paradise, but the weekend may also see a dive into my DS romset even beyond Endless Frontier - I may even find myself finally starting the sequel to Izuna, a handheld roguelike classic I beat years ago. Still got plans for Castlevania, Blue Reflection and Warriors All-Stars on Vita (the latter of which may even overflow to put me in the mood for a few more Fire Emblem Warriors maps), and my laptop has just seen me install GTA 5 on top of beating Just Cause and earnestly moving on to Just Cause 2 this week, so that turf time may well be dominated by open-worlders for now. Ubisoft's ones might squeeze themselves among those, too.
Trying the MH Stories 2 demo, as well as continuing some Witcher 3 (even after 25 hours, doesn’t feel that far in!) and Mario 3D All Stars (completed 64, now 40 shines into Sunshine) when the mood takes me!
A lovely little stealth action game called ghost of a tale.
Skyward sword and Baba is you if my brain works well enough.
Never liked the motion controls in the original. There's some nice improvements but after going back and forth i'll stick with button controls which work surprisingly well.
Skyward sword and Mario golf
A mix of Crash 4 and Jenny Leclue: Detectivu for me. Jenny Leclue in particular is an absolute hidden gem that I just picked up on sale for around 80% off. If it's still on sale, I HIGHLY recommend picking it up. Visually, it's got a bit of this Night in the Woods feel, it's writing is clever, its fully voice acted, and it's a chill game that's sucking me right into its atmosphere. I had no clue that this game existed before i saw it on sale. It's a little game that seems to be gushing with passion from the developers. Pretty sure I'll be playing this most of the weekend.
BOTW, and just because I want to, trying to visit every location in West Necluda. Once that's finished, I am going to play Super Mario Bros 3 on Switch Online, pure platforming.
Started a new file on Animal Crossing New Horizons. Got Paula and Sprocket as starters this time!
Nothing today as I’m heading to the coast but tomorrow gonna binge on Skyward Sword. Just got to the bazaar for the first time.
Monster Hunter Stories II, love the game so far.
About 10hours into Monster Hunter Stories 2. Going slow so me and my 10 year old can keep pace with each other. Really enjoying it.
Nothing. I'm on the balcony, enjoying the only good weekend weather for England so far this summer.
Just making my way through WarGroove
I'm playing Skyward Sword HD and Monster Hunter Stories 2 on Switch and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on PS4
Playing Pokemon Sword with my 7yo. I'm using it to teach him to read English as he has been reluctant to learn so far.
I'll be playing Dragon Quest XI S myself later.
Playing through Hollow Knight again and have also just started a new save on Monster Hunter World.
Might also get a couple of rounds of Mario Golf in with the Mrs.
My word, I'm overwhelmed this weekend! Still playing through Scarlet Nexus on PS5. I'm hooked on Monster Hunter Stories 2 on Switch. Mario Golf: Super Rush still has my attention and I just picked up Skyward Sword HD.
So many games on the go yet I still somehow spent all evening last night playing Magic: the Gathering Arena 😅
Currently planning to play Metroid II, grabbed it yesterday on my 3DS. Started it yesterday, and I like it so far. Maybe some Battlefield 4 on PC if I can get around to it.
I am hopelessly addicted to Ys IX!!! I've tried to put it down and play something else but it keeps calling back to me.
Performance is a very real issue, but I guess I just don't care. I'm having such a good time and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys 3D action games
Mario Golf Super Rush
Zelda Skyward Sword
@Donutsavant It's a shame about the performance. I do hope they release a patch that at least improves it a little bit. IX is on my wishlist!
More Monster Hunter Rise. Going after all the hanging scrolls and in game awards
mario golf and ..I am not realy sure...maybe some super metroid...
Returning to my roots...Legend of Zelda on the NES! Can't wait to run through, again.
NINJA APPROVED
I was going to play Skyward Sword, but it still hasn't arrived. So I guess I'll just stare at the Joy-Con instead
I’ll be picking up my copy of Skyward Sword this weekend so I’ll be dusting off my Switch for that! I’ll also be playing Knockout City and Quantum Break on Xbox.
Have a great weekend everyone!
@ImagineerNik I mean they are lovely joycons to be staring at 😂. I’ve had no luck in securing a preorder or finding them myself.
Playing Uncharted 3 right now, such a step down from 2. The puzzles are just not that good, and the story is very formulaic (do plan, get caught, get out, talk, do plan, get caught, get out, talk) Good thing Uncharted 4 was so AMAZING, or the franchise could have just died there
I finally finished the last 2 bosses in Samus Returns this week. Now I will be continuing with Wind Waker HD.
I have also been playing with OpenGL building a basic 2D engine just for the learning experience. It has been an on again off again thing for months not really spending a bunch of time on it. I did more of this than gaming last weekend so I’ll see what mood I am in this weekend. I am a software engineer for work, but don’t work on this type of thing for work so it has been fun to play with graphics programming again because games are what got me interested in software in the first place 20+ years ago.
I’ve got an armload of Japanese Super Robot Wars on the way (bday present to myself 😅) to try and catch up a bit since the PS2 years.
I’m hoping to finally finish Subnautica before then. It’s been slow cuz the map is so huge and I’m afraid to risk losing my precious vehicles. Such an IMMERSIVE game though, haha 😆
Wishing everyone a fun weekend!
Still playing BLAZBLUE CENTRALFICTION Special Edition. Completed 57% of 10th Episode.
I am finally playing through Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. This is the only Prime game I never played through (I stopped after the very first instance of Phazon Corruption on Bryyo), and I want to knock this out before I play through the whole trilogy when MP4 has a release date.
I'm playing on veteran difficulty, and either it's because of that or simply because I suck, but did anyone else find the war golem, Mogenar to be an absolute pain?! He jumps out of lock-on, which due to his size, idk why this would cause your targeting to lose sight of him, closes off his weak spots so frequently, it's a wonder he opens them up at all, he switches his weak spots around, during which they are invulnerable, has one on his back that is a nightmare to attack because he likes to jump around too much, he has a phase that he'll constantly return to where the fight doesn't progress until you attack his enormous feet with your silly little morph ball bombs, and HE CAN REGENERATE HIS WEAK POINTS?!
Please! Tell me the bosses don't get this bad again! I'm gonna have to replay this because I missed ONE scan on the G.F.S. Olympus. I'd like to at least know that the rest of this playthrough will be more enjoyable. This is the farthest I've gotten, and I really don't want to put it down just to restart it much later just because the bosses killed my enjoyment of this game!
I’ll be playing Skyward Sword HD, along with trying out Sonic forces to see if it’s quite as bad as people claim
Forager! It's like crack.
@John_Deacon unfortunately I am not super optimistic about that happening but it would be great news! I know a lot of people are hoping for it
Btw John, I'm a big fan!
Fortnite and Tony Hawk, nothing terribly exciting but good times nonetheless.
Zelda Skyward Sword HD (with the fancy new JoyCon controllers) and Mass Effect 2 on PS5. Where do I buy more hours in a day?
I picked up Skyward Sword already, and I'll probably play that a bit. I'm also slowly working on the original Metroid on NES, but I'm trying not to get too far into something new until I finish God Wars The Complete Legend (at least the main story), so probably another weekend or so on that 😁
Switch: Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana - Currently in the middle of Chapter 2. I'm still exploring the island, gathering other castaways, and generally enjoying the combat!
DS: Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call - I'm presently working my way towards the Market, solving puzzles along the way. One of those sliding block puzzles really had me stumped for awhile....
Off the screens, I have a D&D session scheduled later. Let's see what the Cult of the Dragon has in store for my ranger and everyone else in the party....
Have a great weekend! Stay cool, and happy gaming!
@Krull Final Fantasy VI is one of my favorite games ever and I would recommend it to anyone, even if they're not that big into RPGs. Sounds like you have a fantastic weekend ahead of you 😃
Skyward Sword HD for me! Never played it on Wii, so I can’t wait to try motion controls.
Things are quieting down around me, so I'm back to finishing Star Fox 2. The Expert mode... if you're not ready, it is made for pain. Still fun, but I'll need a break after I finish my current run before trying to have a run where Andross doesn't nuke Corneria. Mercy is not in that guy's vocabulary...
I'm planning to grab Skyward Swird HD, and will either start that, or finish 3D Worlds main campaign before hopping into Bowsers Fury.
Pokemon Y on my 2DS
Tempted to grab Skyward Sword. But I really need to finish up some current commitment games before committing to another large game. I've beaten it before. So the urgency to dive in again isn't too great.. So I'll play a bit of Mario + Rabbids. I'm gonna set a goal to finally finish Luigi's Mansion 3. Of course, a little Animal Crossing.
I will say THPS 1+2 has been seriously calling my name. May bite the bullet before the end of the weekend
Earlier this week I got both Ring Fit Adventure and Monster Hunter Stories 2! On top of those I've also started Hades and I'm continuing to play Mario Golf: Super Rush on the side as well.
Definitely playing Skyward Sword.. was stuck on it for 10 hours straight yesterday.. my ol lady even dealt w the kids and let me play
Mario Golf online has been fun too.. might start playin that when I turn up tonight.. fun game to play while drinking
And if I get bored of everything else (though I highly doubt it) I’ll move on to my fail safe which is Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+.. anxiously awaiting the Switch release of Repentance.. come TF on already Ed McMillen!!
Replaying Super Mario World on Switch Online. Forgot how much I love that game.
Also attempting to beat Raiden. Dang it's a TOUGH game!
So yeah, an old school weekend for me.
Well I WOULD be playing SSHD, however, walmart being walmart and shipment is delayed.
With that said, I now have free time to play whatever until it gets here. Considering something from the ol backlog. I think I'll finally go back and try to play thru hollow knight. I put it down nearly 3 years ago. It's high time! I'll also play some mario golf, ghoul patrol, and Tony hawk.
@mauhlin12 a potent mix of games right there
Nothing. I beat bravely default 1 yesterday and... i really hated the last quarter (too repetitive and difficult beyond necessary).
I still recommend the game, but... It could have been so much good without the last 20 hours (or so) of artificially extended endgame.
The soundtrack is amazing, though!!
I'll tale a break before starting bravely second.
Happy gaming, everyone!
I'll be playing Skyward sword in my 2 weeks off work
First time playing this zelda game and wow it's amazing to play an old zelda game again i really miss tp and ww
Other then that i'll be playing Metroid Fusion, Mario Kart online and if i can maybe some more AoC
MHS2...third time around after figure how to fight and egg gathering. Zelda has to be on the back burner as I still got previous Zeldas to finish as well.
I am playing Wind Waker HD on the Wii U. I will likely get Skyward sword soon, but I need to justify buying a Wii U only just over a week ago almost solely for the purpose of playing old Zelda games and the virtual console. I was waiting for them to be ported to the switch but ran out of patience and faith for that matter. As it is my first experience playing a Wii U, I find it to be a quirky console. It has it's charms, but I also just wish I could play the games I want to on Switch as it is a much better, smoother console in my opinion. Also the Wii U Pro controller is bullocks, (the buttons and the right stick are misplaced, especially after being used to the Switch Pro controller), but I realised that Wind Waker HD is great on the gamepad so enjoying it.
Nostalgia is both irrational and enjoyable on occasions and often expensive.
Might play Skyward Sword HD but am currently quite enjoying Max and the Cursed Brotherhood, it's a really fun game. Also have just a little more to do to get 100% on Yoku's Island Express which was awesome.
@KayFiOS
I first played corruption in veteran mode because I had heard the difficulty was rather easy. Mogenar was probably the worst boss in the game for me. Not too bad though, you really have to use different strategies each time around. It’s generally best to destroy his weak points one at a time, so that he can’t regenerate them. Then just try to avoid his attacks, so you have as long as possible to wear him down. Make sure you have all the energy tanks you can get as that really helps in this run. I would not recommend starting over as there is a lot you would have to do over again, and missing a scan is not the biggest deal. Plus, right after Bryyo you get to one of the best parts of the game: skytown.
HW AoCalamity, MHStories 2 WoR, TLoZelda SSHD
@I_commented I actually started focusing on one weak point at a time after dying a few times. I wasn't sure if he could still regenerate orbs after you blew out the socket, but I didn't want to find out, and I ended up keeping him from regenerating at all. Looking back, I probably shouldn't have gone for the weak point on the back first, since once he has one weak point left, he starts charging at you much more, after which he stands still, looking around for you. After that boss was over, I left the game to cool off, and I was listening to SkyTown's music playing in the background. It was nice, calming, gorgeous music. So far I think it's my favorite track in the game just for how cathartic it was after such an infuriating boss! I can't wait to get home from work so I can start exploring again.
I just finished up my 3rd play through of Metroid: Samus Returns this morning, and may finish my 3rd run of Metroid Prime: Federation Force later this weekend. I did get my Japanese Metroid Prime Hunters copy in this week, so doing 100% on that is an option. I think what I'm guaranteed to play is Animal Crossing: Wild World. There's not much better than these bug hunts during these summer nights.
Skyward Sword HD
@Teksetter
I’ve been considering “dipping” into Subnautica but not sure if it’s worth the full price of admission or better to wait for a sale in the eshop? Almost picked up Zelda SS yesterday but I already played the original on Wii and don’t feel particularly compelled to revisit it even it’s one of my favourite in the series. Ah…the problems of the 1st world! Have a nice weekend!
Sadly nothing at all since I'm on vacation and my switch is traveling with me but my left joy-con can't connect no more to the console after yesterday.
@Longondo Yeah, I want to give Yoshi's Island another try. I attempted it back in the 90s, but the baby Mario crying drove me nuts and I quit the game. Now I'm a little older and have it both on my SNES Classic Mini and Switch Online service, so maybe after I beat SMW I'll give it a go. I might just mute it this time to not have to listen to the baby Mario crying, haha.
Astral Chain. Bought it over a year ago and never touched it. Now I am hooked on this slick combat system and amazing visuals.
@Rainz
I hear you on Skyward Sword. I still have my Wii cartridge, but got bogged down in Lanaryu Desert in my first playthru and never went back to finish it. I can’t justify a double-dip considering all the other games I’ve bought recently. 😓
It does have a beautiful soundtrack though, and HD must be nice.
Subnautica: I impulse-bought the physical version which includes both Subnautica and Subnautica Sub-Zero, and even though it was full price I think it was a worthy purchase. And I haven’t even tried Sub Zero yet! YMMV, of course.
Skyward Sword HD
Tony Hawk 1 +2
Hotshot Racing
Piffle
Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire
Maybe some Advance Wars
@Teksetter happy birthday! Had mine last Monday and got skyward sword 😂
@Thwomp_Stomper
Oh cool! Thank you and Happy late Birthday to you, too! Mine was Tuesday. 😊
Almost 150 hours into Ghost of Tsushima on PS5. So glad I overlooked it on the PS4.
Is it wrong to try to Shootemup girls in a dungeon for me, great value at 99p on the eshop!
Working my way through my Metroid collection and have just picked up the power bombs in Metroid Prime: Echoes
@TMNHertl
Astral Chain is criminally underrated! It’s not easy to start new IP but Platinum really has something to build off with Astral Chain. I believe Nintendo now own the IP, I’m a big Platinum Games fan so although I’m happy it’s a Nintendo IP…I’m hoping the franchise gets a sequel. With Nintendo we know how they can bury franchises for years. It’s a game I’m looking forward to replaying.
I’m in the middle of Blue Fire, which I would wholeheartedly recommend to any Zelda fan. The platforming in the game is also incredible.I might get it wrapped up by the end of the weekend, then I might give Skyward Sword another chance. It’s been my least favorite Zelda game, but I also wasn’t initially fond of Twilight Princess until I played it a second time for its Wii U remaster
I'll be playing Mario Golf Super Rush and Rocket League, my staples. Also digging into Skyward Sword, Doki Doki Literature Club +, Shadow of the Colossus, Alba, Raiden, and Monument. And I'm curious about Risk Factor or whatever that new stg game is called.
@Rainz It is fantastic though admittedly it takes a couple hours to really get into it. Once you get the combat down and start exploring the semi open world it's pretty impressive and fun. Some of the youtube boss fights are incredible as some people got reeally good at this game.
I'm playing Skyward Sword! It's my first time! I just got the titular Skyward Sword. At first I wasn't sure about the controls, but I'm having quite a bit of fun. I have a bit of a joint issue with my right thumb so I'm not sure if I'll do well with the boss fights later in the game, but we'll see!
@60frames-please What is Risk Factor and what is STG? Google wasn't helpful.
@Lyricana I meant to say Risk System, the new shoot em up on Switch. It sounds good and I want to play it. "stg" is used to refer to shoot'em ups or shmups.
@Lyricana like an abbreviation for shooting - stg
@Nontendo_4DS I wish Nintendo would release a light blue and yellow 4DS. I would play the hell out of that thing!
@Lyricana Actually, I think I'm wrong. I think STG is just used to refer to M2's line of releases "ShotTriGgers" like ESP rade, Battle Garegga, Deathtiny, Aleste Collection, Dangun Feveron, etc.
Late to the thread, but just finished my first play through of Oxenfree, which I loved. I’ll be chiseling away at Chasm, and spending most my time taking all the pros through the skate tours on THPS 1+2. Happy weekend!
@60frames-please I hadn't heard of any of those! I looked at a trailer for Risk System, and it looks interesting.
Well it's over almost now, but i played Tokyo Mirage sessions, a little bit of sky, and ender lilies on Xbox one.
It turns out Skyward Sword did get shipped by Toys R Us on time, my wife just forgot to tell me it was here, so I'm also going to play that
Skyward Sword, FF7, Monster Hunter Stories 2
I actually started playing Twilight Princess HD... Played it on Wii and watched my sister in the next room play it on GC, but with all this talk of missing 35th Zelda games I thought it is time to get back into the Twilight realm.
