Well, it's been a Nintendo Direct week! The new voice of Mario has been revealed, Brewster's back in Animal Crossing, Kirby's gone all Last of Us in his next 3D adventure, and — biggest news of all — Banjo's coming back on a Nintendo console thanks to the inclusion of Banjo-Kazooie in the upcoming N64 additions to Nintendo Switch Online. Eekum bokum!
After all that it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

I'm currently back onto The Great Ace Attorney, which is weird and wonderful and a very relaxing time. Some of the same terms could be used for Eastward, which I picked up last week and am enjoying a lot - it's a game full of heart.
Elsewhere I'm playing Marvel's Avengers, that game everyone dunks on because its grind is boring. As I got it cheap and am only interested in the campaign content, however, I'm having a good time (maybe helped by the fact it's the 'next-gen enhanced' version); it's a classic 7/10 game, but I'm enjoying some mindless action after long workdays.

This weekend I'm practically LOADED up with games: Beast Breaker, Eastward, and maybe even a few games on the ol' SNES, which we got set up recently. It's a retro-palooza!
I'm also light on reviews this week, finally, so I'll get to play some of my backlog: Islanders, Slime Rancher, and maybe even a bit of Subnautica to break up all the gentle farmy-type games. I'm EXTREMELY excited about it being Autumn, so I can cosy up with my Switch by the fireplace (which is just an animated pixel fireplace, but still) with a hot chocolate and some COSY SOCKS. Heck yeah.

Hey folks! Like many this weekend, I'll be playing through the newly announced Castlevania Advance Collection. I have to give Konami props for bringing out this set; any move to make older games more accessible to new audiences is a big win in my book. You can practically hear the eBay sellers scream in frustration…
That's pretty much it for the Switch this weekend, but I'll also be diving back into Death Stranding on PS5 now that the Director's Cut has launched; can't wait to do some walking!
Gonçalo Lopes, reviewer
Still continuing my Front Mission campaign replay along with a quick dash of Cruis'n Blast here and there. Good timing on Castlevania Advance Collection since, as I previously mentioned, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is due for a revisit. Yet the most important task for this weekend is to clear me entire schedule for the up and coming ZDR planetary excursion.
Game of the week is the aptly named ActRaiser Renaissance. It’s 2021 and there is a main title screen on my giant TV with the words “Quintet” and “Yuzo Koshiro” in the bottom copyright fine-print. The new soundtrack orchestration alone is worth the admission price. Maybe this is not the darkest timeline after all...
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

Harmony Of Dissonance, which I am loving so far... it still plays brilliantly. I will also be trying to improve my score in the latest Wario Ware Cup... they sure have been hard so far! Have a lovely weekend, guys, and stay safe out there.
I plan to play Super Mario Odyssey - I'm into the final 100 moons and need to find the last few purple coins as well. Other than that, I'm hoping to find time for some more Splatoon 2
Just gonna finish off Deltarune, and play more apex legends.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, this game is the Indie 2021 GOTY, you can bet.
Still playing WarioWare Get It Together, spent around 90 hours in the game so far
May come back to MK8DX next week
I just downloaded deltarune and undertale so I will be playing through those. I also might continue playing through ocarina of time on my n64 after this weeks news of n64 games coming to nso
Still plugging away at Paper Mario. As I have said previously, an enjoyable little game and I think I’m nearing the end of it.
Switch - Brushing up on Smash Ultimate ready for the final fighter reveal!
PS5 - More Demon's Souls! Man that game is brutal lol.
PC - Gmod with friends!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Voice of Cards (Demo) (NS)
Super Mario Odyssey (NS)
Blast Master Zero (NS) (used my gold coins to buy this, while it was on sale.)
PC: FFXIV + DBZ: Kakarot
PS5: Scarlet Nexus
Switch: I want to play Castlevania Circle of the moon but I want to know which version is the better version before I start encase there are missing features (same goes for the other 2 gba games).
I'll be playing Rocket League, like always, when I'm not working, which I'm doing a lot of before, during, and after this weekend. I also want to play Death Stranding. I played a couple hours of the original before selling it with my Death Stranding PS4 Pro. Don't know when I'll get the director's cut... I'll also play Mario Golf on the snowy and on the palm tree course. Probably some Ikenfell too.
I think I might pick up Lost in Random, reviewed decent enough and I'm a sucker for that art style. If not I'll probably pick up Kena on the PS5 and give that a go.
Castlevania Aria Of Sorrow, fantastic game so far.
EDIT: I’ve gone to Whitby Abbey today, which seems quite apt.
I've been playing Suikoden 3 the entire week since I've been on vacation, been making some really nice progress almost completing all the characters' Chapter 2.
I've really been getting into it.
Switch: helping my young son 100% odyssey. Dam that volley ball moon was hard!
PS5: kena, such a beautiful charming game. Reminds me of old zelda.
@Ooyah love that game! Just started it back up as well.
Rare Replay (Conkers Bad Fur Day), Molemania and DKC 3 for the Gameboy
Continuing Eastward and some Taiko no Tatsujin ! Friends coming over saturday night so probably a bit of Mario Kart too.
I’m thinking about buying the castlevania collection
Had a lot of fun with circle of the moon when I was younger
Other then that I’ll play some skyward sword, tropical freeze and some super Mario galaxy
This week I will be mostly playing
Starfox Guard
Mario Vs DK Mini-Land Mayhem
Focusing on Xbox this weekend, the usual stuff like MCC and Halo 5. Will change focus to Switch around October 5th when the Switch releases really start piling up.
@Saturos1
I played Harmony when it first came out on the GBA. I was worried that it may feel dated now, having played so many modern "Metroidvanias" in the interim, but that absolutely isn't the case. It still feels so smooth and exhilarating... the pace of it is so driving.
I finally started Skyrim last week so I’m continuing with as much of that as I can until Dread.
Circle of the Moon, Warioware, Spelunky 2 and Halo 3 on PC!
Kitaria Fables
Darius Gaiden
Steredenn: Binary Stars
Slay the Spire
I played these games. 🤓
1. Animal Crossing New Horizons
2. Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles Switch
3. The Sims Bustin' Out Gamecube
I keep doing Time Travel for exploiting the other color variant things from Redd in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
I played Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles for a while to collect some quest materials.
I have finished some goals from The Sims Bustin' Out. Still working on some difficult missions.
Well, I needed to continue on my quest for hatching monsties on MHST2, still haven’t finished the monstipedia yet, or finished Elders Lair…. But that got abruptly interrupted by Diablo, Castlevania and Actraiser this week.
So far I’ve got act 1 finished on D2, loving the Remake/Remaster as much as I loved the original in 2001…. And I’ve nearly got Fillmore completed on Actraiser, another beautiful remake. Castlevania I started CotM but haven’t made it to the first boss yet, just doing some pre boss leveling and card farming.
At some point I may return back to MHST2, or Eastward. Also need to play a bit more of My Time at Portia. Been craving a relaxing craft/builder/sim lately….
On the final map in Donkey Kong Country Returns, so hoping to finish that this week, at my usual rate of a level or two a day. I hear the final boss is a doozy, though, so we’ll see.
Monster hunter rise
Diablo 2
Crusin blast
Probably going to be playing some more Cruis'n Blast and could possibly start Luigi's Mansion 3, I bought it almost a year ago on Black Friday and have been waiting until the fall to play it.
What are you doing here.......
Astrologers have announced a week of paydays, so my Switch backlog has grown fatter yet. The [estimated] grand 800th title is Shining Resonance Refrain (which I ultimately decided to pull the trigger on despite a typically massive franchise binge still preceeding it - might be somewhat less sense in pursuing the release chronology in a series which, on top of relative plot/lore independence, has its flagships cover wildly different RPG subgenres as well), but I also hope to dedicate a portion of the weekend to some other promising new recruits like The Tenth Line (a total steal at its recent discount, considering the instantly memorable cast and all the Valkyrie Profile vibes I've found in the gameplay), Our World Is Ended, Dicey Dungeons, Rogue Legacy, Niffelheim, Path To Mnemosyne and Tribal Pass... but I wouldn't be me if I lacked the unrealistic appetites and plans for more beyond that, be it stuff like Bioshock 2 and Portia on the very same Switch, God Eater and Blue Reflection on Vita or Etrian Odyssey Untold and Endless Frontier on 3DS.
The laptop will be getting some limelight as well - mostly Morrowind, ESO and Just Cause 2 but quite likely also other stuff like FFXIII and The Witcher. "Moderation"? Is it edible?
Mainly Eastward. It’s extremely good. Actually reminds me a bit of Contact on DS with its soundtrack, beautiful sprite work and general eeriness/unease while playing it, all sans the crap combat Contact had. Slow burn for sure but that doesn’t bother me, probably gonna end up my GOTY at this rate.
Really just that and a bit of Cruis’n Blast on the side. Fantastic game, probably not essential at £30-35 with no online whatsoever. Absolutely worth getting no question when it drops to at least £20 though.
Cruis'n Blast, Dead Cells, Carrion and some Scott Pilgrim.
I'm 10 hours into Golf Story, I want to finish that then try to start + finish Inside before Metroid Dread arrives!
@Ooyah Same with me! It was my first Castlevania game, but I lost the cartridge over the years so I was thrilled with this release. Maybe it's the nostalgia for me, but I think I am one of the few who love the music in it to lol
After beating Axiom Verge 2 (great metroidvania, hampered by some key points with awful design choices where you have no clue what to do) and The Last Campfire (an amazing little puzzle story game that I would absolutely recommend) last weekend, I'm now playing Neo: The World Ends With You. It's pretty great so far. I think I like it more than the original (which was also great). My only complaints are slow loading times between battles and a few quests that have felt tedious. But I really love the battle system and voice acting. I'm definitely immersed in this one.
I've been sticking to a steady mix of MHRise , Fury Unleashed and Tumblestone
@Saturos1
Nope, you're not alone! At first, when revisiting the game, I found the music a little jarring... but now I am right back into it! It just complements the gameplay so well... the music really adds to the atmosphere, and also the pace of the game, somehow.
I will gather up the last star coins from super star road in New Super Mario bros u deluxe and play some nes games on nso (haven't decided which ones yet). Have a nice weekend folks!
The GBA Castlevania games still are a joy to play and im relieved that they look fairly good on the TV. I was worried about that but im having blast. I still wish they had put the GBA and DS games in one collection as im assuming those will be next (and also curious about if there will be a bonus 4th game included). I would have paid a premium price for that but oh well.
Decided to rest Skyrim for a bit and play Mario Galaxy on 3D all stars. I never got round to playing it first time, really enjoying it!
CASTLEVANIA: ADVANCE COLLECTION and NINJA GAIDEN 2003 on Switch. What? Like I WASN'T going to buy the ADVANCE COLLECTION the day it dropped!?!? ACTRAISER gets to wait for a sale.....
In not playing anything. Next game I intend to play is Metroid Dread.
@MarioBrickLayer I enjoyed Golf Story, but a warning: it goes on longer than you think. It is a great game, but making your way through all the courses and the story does take a while. At least it did for me. I definitely enjoyed it and played more after finishing it. Enjoy!
I'm on the fence about Eastward. Has anybody picked that up and logged some hours? It looks like the kind of lovingly hand-crafted indie affair I enjoy, but if its systems are too complex and get in the way of exploration and combat, I'll probably skip out before finishing.
Meanwhile I've been thoroughly enjoying a second playthrough of Astral Chain. What a masterpiece of a game!
Happy weekend all and happy gaming!
Townscaper is incredible! If you like the visuals and want a chill way to express your creativity, I highly recommend it.
Rush Rally Origins is still so good! I am making my way through the game and love the controls, the scenery and the progression.
I also can't stop playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. There is something about drifting around a turn at 120 mph in a Lamborghini that puts a big smile on my face.
And, a few matches in RL and a concert in ACNH.
Happy gaming everyone!
Wargroove.
So far good strategy, but it needs a facelift.
Some cruising in Burnout Paradise, some runs in Floor kids and some progress in Axiom Verge and/or Wonder boy. Maybe even a little bit of Harry Potter with my wife or Luigis mansion with the kids.
@dugan Thanks! I started it ages ago and got stuck trying to find a watch to give Max Yards! I'm past that now, currently trying to find some ancient clubs!
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Playing almost daily for the challenges.
Equalicious (Windows Phone) - Nearly done with the puzzles.
Rayman Fiesta Run (Windows Phone) - Still enjoying this in bursts.
@dugan I have suddenly realised there are loads of great racing games on the Switch! I really want to play; art of rally, Horizon Chase Turbo, Crusin' Blast and Gear Shifters!
@fafonio such an odd, but really amazing selection! Was this backlog, nostalgia, or did you buy these recently?! 😁
Star fox Assault and Fzero GC for me along with walking the dog and watching the rugby Happy gaming everyone!
More Digimon on Switch & Death Stranding DC on PS5.
On the very last knockings of Skyward Sword HD. On the final boss, I slaughtered him in his first phase but got it handed to me in his second phase. It's not over yet mate.
@moodycat Same here, except i got through it 3 times, i was 17 at the time it launched. Diablo II will have to wait.
Cheat: You can use every DSS card in the game, even before you collect them. Just select cards that you already have, press L and before it finishes "powerin up", got to menu and select any card you want.
@Dpishere it's a really nice game! My roommate loved about every minute of it!
@Krull I don't know if I ever had the patience to kill that final boss. It's blatant patern recognizing, but it doesn't really signal what it's up to!
Been playing more of Daemon X Machina as i lost interest with the poorly paced plot originally. Enjoying it alot more now. They just added melee to Mechwarrior 5, so taking my Dragon out for a spin, now that it can clobber a commando when it gets close, instead of getting ganked by constant SRM fire. I've been waiting for Melee in a mechwarrior game for 20 years (could have been done by mechwarrior 4 imo).
Happy gaming.
@Nontendo_4DS yep I had 4 potions, one was a double but he destroyed my shields! played the entire game with motion controls too, he's a good workout. On the runup to him I realised a lot of things about the story that were staring me in the face. I'm a first time player too as I never had a Wii.
@karatekid1612 that sounds absolutely brilliant! I really need to dust off Assault, I loved its main campaign!!
Playing through The World is Not Enough on N64. Haven't beaten it in many years. The levels are such a blast!
Some Mario party 1, and Deltarune can't wait to start the second chapter!!!
Wario Ware GiT.
Gotta farm those eggos.
Nothing on Nintendo at the moment. Powering through Red Dead 2 mostly.
I started a new Stardew Valley farm last night, so will be playing that. I will probably check on my ACNH homies and also play some Splatoon 2 as well.
Ever Oasis. I have a week off work now, so I'm hoping to finish it this week.
After more than 3 weeks of playing nothing(because of my aunt), 3 days ago I'm finally played a game on my Nintendo Switch! I'm finished Story Mode in Guilty Gear XX ΛCore Plus R as I-No on Ending 1. And, I'm planning to play Super Mario Odyssey. That's all.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Golf Super Rush, and Streets of Rage 4.
Finished all 2D metroids last weeks on the hardest difficulty (when applicable) within 3 hours each. Love m to bits. Only metroid other M to go now before I dose myself into Dread.
Next to that: started Octopath Traveler which is in my backlog since day 1 when it came out in anticipation of Triangle Strategy.
I wonder if we get sequels to these games with names such as Triangle Traveler and Octopath Strategy.
Actrasier and castlevania gba collection and pokemon unite
Still working my way through Great Ace Attorney 2 (on case 3 now), and man, I just got Cruis’n Blast the other day…it’s so good!
I wish more folks gave me a heads up on how amazing & laugh out loud funny Paper Mario Origami King is! On the last streamer and enjoying every minute of it. So much closer to Metroid Dread & I can’t wait!!!
EDIT- Paper Mario Origami King complete! Solid 8/10 with the perfect story.. only drawback is the battle style! Highly recommend and very addicting game with plenty of collectibles
Busy weekend but if there's time, advance collection and bravely default 2.
Smash and Super Animal Royale with friends
Actraser is awesome! Got that for my laptop and Crusin Blast for the Switch to keep the wife busy while I god Sim.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Halo: Infinite
@Roger_Brazil That's a great one! Death's Door is amazing. Needs a Switch port.
Working my way through kitaria fables 😉
I'm having a hard time gaming. I'm purchasing games, but the thought of playing games on a superior screen in just a couple weeks is actually making it difficult to fire these games up. I think the next time I'll be gaming in earnest will be October 8th.
Probably Diablo II, definitely Dark Souls II, Old games rule.
Deltarune. Been hyped it play it for a while.
This weekend, I'll be playing Castlevania: Bloodlines, as I'm looking to finish the games on the Anniversary Collection, before moving onto the Advance Collection (will probably start up Kid Dracula afterwards). Outside of that, some Kirby Dreamland 3, and Knockout City as well.
@Ooyah Glad to hear someone else on the same page! I definitely agree with you. Enjoy the game!
Heading out shortly on a much needed weekend trip before a crazy October, so no gaming (unless Monday counts; I took that day off) other than a few minutes of Pokemon Go sprinkled in. At least it's a beautiful weekend to get outside!
I've played a bit of Cruis'n Blast this morning which I really enjoyed. Mostly though I'll be romancing Leah down on the farm.
Actraiser Renaissance. I’m enjoying the city-building sections a lot so far.
Never liked FPS games, but Ive heard about Borderlands last week and decided to try since it has some RPG things and cool graphics. I got addicted to it in 5 minutes, can't stop playing now lol
Eastward
Cruisin’ Blast
Metallic Child
Having a great time with Eastward - as a more introspective game, it’s nice to balance out with some arcade and action in Cruisin and Metallic Child.
I’ve been bouncing between games a bit while waiting for Metroid Dread. I played Mario Galaxy and am considering getting all 120 stars eventually, but I think I only have hidden stars and comet stars left which become less fun for me so I am not sure. Such a great game.
Also got back to Advance Wars on Wii U and finished the tutorial and got into the real game. It is a fun game (Inever played it back in the day)
Also tried the demo of Warioware because I thought my kids may like it. It seems like it would be way too fast for the kids, but I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. It is just crazy how short its “micro games” are, but somehow it is fun. Maybe I’ll have to pick it up at some point.
I also started Bastion but probably won’t finish it. Some of the narration is fun, but Hades is just so great it is hard to go back to Bastion (we’ll this is my first time playing it).
All dependant on time that I will highly unlikely have, but
PS5-Ghost Of Tsushima
XSX-GTA V or Forza Horizon 4
Switch-Skyward Sword or Origami King
The chances of being able to play any of these are slim to nothing, so it'll probably end up just being a mindless half hour of Mario Kart 8 😂
@nofriendo It’s excellent. Put about 7 hours into it, if anything would get in your way it’s the story/text- it’s quite text heavy and sometimes can be minutes of story until you’re back into the gameplay. I haven’t minded that at all though. Systems wise it’s really simple and I’m happy for it, too often this kind of game looks appealing to me but gets bogged down by battle systems I don’t care for (Mother 3/Earthbound for example). It’s just 2D Zelda style, one button for attack, bombs to use that work just like in Zelda games and a couple of secondary weapons like a gun etc. The only other system is cooking which works pretty much like BotW, nothing complicated at all.
Might be the best looking 2D game I’ve ever seen, incredible soundtrack (will be getting the vinyl as soon as it’s inevitably announced), good puzzles and an interesting, creepy story that hopefully doesn’t let up as it goes on. If the trailers interest you then definitely go for it!
Not sure, the Discord has been somewhat silent.
Maybe I will boot up Animal Crossing again and chip away on Super Metroid
Pumpkin jack. For fall and cruisn blast.
I've started Circle of the Moon. I'll probably farm a bit in Pokemon Shield and get back to Xenoblade 1 at some point
@garfreek thanks…. it’s a nostalgia backlog thing. I went into the mission of finishing every interesting game I missed from every console generation. Right now I’m in the GAMEBOY era, just missing Kid Dracula and Mother 3 for the GBA and I’ll be done with those consoles.
I really loved Molemania, it is such a hidden gem. And the DKC 3, can’t believe they were able to recreate the experience on a GB.
And Rare Replay is such a good value. I’ve been up to the task of playing every Rare game I’ve missed these decades, like Conker or Jet Force Gemini.
Ohhh, I forgot about The frog for whom the bell tolls for the GB. Gotta put that rom into my 3DS and start playing it too.
@Tyranexx Outside is pretty good, but the graphics could use an update.
Still plugging away at Octopath Traveler. I'm 40 hours in and finding that 9999 damage is where the real fun begins!
Astral Chain, Hades, Assassin's Creed Origin, Uncharted 4, God of War, Resident Evil 4, Dragon Quest 11, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
As a freelancer, I always end up working on the weekend. If I wasn't working though, I'd probably be playing Diablo 2 and/or Castlevania Advance collection.
I have mainly been playing Xenoblade Chronicles X! I just finished chapter 6 and got my Skell so I'm super excited to explore the world with it!
Going back to an older game I never played, etrian odyssey Nexus. Also never played 5 but I don't have time for both and Nexus looked better to me.
I just finished Guacamelee and I started Guacamelee 2. Guac 1 is great, but Guac 2 is a masterpiece. I played 2 for a little bit on Switch, but I decided to play it on PS5 instead. Oh my word. Seeing that game in native 4k with HDR, locked 60 fps, and supersampling is quite literally jaw droppingly gorgeous.
Story of Seasons. I'm glad they gave that game a free trial, I'm really enjoying it. I've been playing a lot of violent games, I need a break it seems hahahaha.
I have been on a big Castlevania kick lately, so I am playing:
Super Castlevania 4
Harmony of Dissonance
Portrait of Ruin
Also, I just picked up Silver Falls: 3 Down Stars on sale. I am so impressed by this developer working so hard this last year to fix what was a pretty troubled launch. It has turned into a pretty good game.
I’m continuing on with Breath of the Wild, it’s a lot better now that I’ve given up on Vah Naboris. I’m dying Vah Ruta now, which is a LOT easier. Still, Spirit Tracks beat it and Ocarina of Time in my humble opinion.... Besides that I’m still playing Smash. I’ve decided to try to get every single Spirit in the game. I reached 1000 the other day, so two-thirds there, yay!
So glad Deltarune Ch 2 was released for Switch! I just spent an all nighter on Friday and played it in a single setting. Props to Toby Fox, there are few games that match the same level of gameplay and quirkiness as his games.
Tales of Arise and Phantasy Star IV. Both are absolutely fantastic!
I’m playing every ones least favorite assassins s creed games, unity on the the Xbox and 3 on the switch.
I'm still playing through Tales of Arise on my Xbox Series X. The game is fantastic and I'm on the fourth Lord.
I'm also playing through Castlevania Advance Collection. Aria of Sorrow is a masterpiece, and I think I consider it better than Symphony of the Night. The only place it doesn't do better is its art style, but that's because of the console limitations.
Currently playing True Torment mode on Blasphemous. Trying to complete all the DLC on NG+.
Ys8 and Metroid Fusion win some Pac-Man 99 mixed in.
@Guitar_bard Portrait of Ruin is absolutely fantastic. I think it’s often overlooked.
@BloodNinja damn straight they rule! In your words….
NINJA APPROVED
Continuing my Rogue Legacy addiction and started a playthrough of GUNVOLT which I just got on sale and is fun so far.
Got RE Revelations 2 and Saits Row 4 in current sale, so having fun playing games I enjoyed years back on PS3, looking better on my Switch Lite. Also still playing Crusi'n Blast, because its one of the best arcade racers in years.
Hindsight 20/20: Wrath of the Rakshasa
@moodycat im also playing Tales on the ps4 and whilst ive never completed a tales game im starting to tire of it quite quickly. Just done the 2nd main boss and gone in to the 3rd biome.
Wario Land on Virtual Boy. Well by an emulator as I like using my eyes.
I'm playing the Story of Seasons game trial. I like it so far. One of my first games ever was Harvest Moon for the Game Boy. It certainly feels different enough from Stardew Valley. I wouldn't necessarily say one is better than the other. Stardew Valley has better more meaningful interactions with the town residents, but Story of Seasons is a lot cuter and from what I've played so far seems to have a lot more to do.
I just don't know if I'll buy it. Seems like it could get repetitive quite quickly.
@OnigiriSan played the demo of Taiko last night. For some reason i really fancy it with that drum 😂😂
@BloodNinja They're pretty high-res today! Beautiful weather where I am. Frame rate could be more stable though.
I just picked up Chibi Robo for the GameCube. I missed out on it during its release, so I'm thrilled to finally play it.
On Switch I'm playing Castlevania Circle of the Moon, Crusin Blast, and Sonic Colors.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
@Expa0 Now I want to play Suikoden again as well. May install my ps3 again soon... Have 1 2 and 3 on it.
@Themagusx1 I totally agree! It is easily one of my favorite Castlevania games. I try and replay it every couple of years.
@Guitar_bard Same here. I love the switch system with the characters, and the portrait worlds are awesome. I 100 percentage including richter mode. You? And I don’t 100 percent many games lol
@Themagusx1 my goal this year is to finally 100% everything on it. I never have! I get caught up playing so many other games. This is the year though! (Hopefully before Halloween)
@Nontendo_4DS thanks for the heads up mate! I think I know what you’re talking about…perhaps I should do that and revisit the boss… 👍🏻
More Mario + Rabbids with my limited time.
@Daniel36
Yeah, go for it. There's never a bad time to play Suikoden 2.
@Guitar_bard Awesome that’s a great goal for Halloween. I wish you luck om the endeavor .
@Kidfunkadelic83
I play the Apple Arcade version all the time. Then i saw it on sale on the e-shop, didn't think twice.
@OnigiriSan the demo was kinda fun. Bat ***** crazy as expected and i think the drum would take it to the next level.
I'm playing by the rules.
Too many games to play, so keeping this short!
Cruisn Blast
Super Metroid
Super Robot Wars X
Spelunky
Not necessarily in that order 😁
Pretty much just the Story of Seasons game trial. Never played a farming sim before and I've enjoyed it quite a bit more than I expected to.
@larryisanassman Appreciate the detailed response. Your testimony has led directly to a loss of funds. The game looks remarkable more than just visually and I can't wait to boot it up. May your entire playthrough be just as satisfying as the first 7 hours. Cheers!
Diablo 2. Bought two copies, one for switch one for PC. Already put 25 hours in since Thursday. It's been quite the homecoming.
@Tyranexx LOL thanks for that
I’m gonna try to finish up bug fables. I’m in the last chapter and I’m decently far through said chapter so I’ll just give it the last hour or 2 I have to! What a great game it’s been. Definitely see myself replaying this.
@Krull
It ain’t that bad, tropical freezes is harder.
I've been playing thru all the 2d Metroid games In preparation for Dread, and I recently made it to Super
I don't think I'm going to fully make it in time...
@fafonio oh that sounds amazing!!
Especially with the retro boom I really wanted to play some games I never got to have. Currently having the best time with my n64. Mario party 1, banjo Kazooie. And I finally got Harmoknight for my 3ds! 😁
It's a great idea, I'm going to follow!.. Now to track down a nice cartridge/rom of Wario land 3! 😁
@fafonio and I forgot about Richard's game as well!! On the list it goes!!
Switch: After the nintendo direct i want to play a random game on the sega megadrive collection.
Xbox: I'm around 50% in psychonauts 2 and i want to play the "the one" career in NBA live 19. If i have time i'm gonna play a bit Fortnite.
I'm gonna play Dead By Daylight with friends, and hopefully I can make some progress in Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, NIS Classics Volume 1, and Monster Hunter Stories 2!
@nofriendo Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!!
Absolutely love Art of Rally which I've been playing on Gamepass. Also playing through Uncharted on Playstation Vita. Great game.
@MarioBrickLayer Yes, I think so too. I was going to get Art of Rally, but the reviews were not as good, the switch port visuals were unimpressive. Rush Rally Origins came out about the same time, from playing it and looking at Art of Rally, I would recommend Art of Rally. I loved Horizon Chase, I played the entire game and loved it. I even bought the sound track. I haven't heard of the other game, but I will check it out. I am also looking forward to the hot wheels game coming soon.
Happy racing, friend!

Eh hit me up for some Borderlands co op sometime! I just started the franchise as well, been enjoying the game!
I’m late to the thread, but I’ve been slowly chipping away at Ori and the Blind Forest. Even though the world is gorgeous and the music is chef’s kiss incredible, I don’t feel compelled to explore every inch of it like I do Cvstodia or Hollownest. The combat is also pretty weak. Still, a lovely experience.
I just started playing Descenders, and WOW is that a wonderful game! I’ve always been a sucker for extreme sports games, and I can see this one taking up all my free time. Definitely one of the rougher games graphically that I’ve seen on the Switch, but it doesn’t deter from the fun, in my opinion.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend of gaming and fall weather!
I really hope we see a DS Castlevania Collection, because those are the game i liked the most, the GBA games are great, but i got my start with the DS
Completed No More Heroes III. Love it, great conclusion to Travis' story (if Suda 51 does end it here) and a better game than reviews gave it credit for. Best in the series, the boss fights were awesome and in some cases surprising how they played out.
About to finish my first route for Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue and finishing up Duke Nukem 3D. Tomorrow I'll be getting the special edition of World End Syndrome. Totally worth the $150 I spent for it.
@Grumblevolcano Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! gets a physical release on October 8th! Can't wait to get mine from Best Buy!
@Chowdaire I'm waiting out to see if that gets a physical release. Really hoping it does.
Busy playing Monster Hunter Rise, Super Mario 3D All Stars & Super Metroid on my switch. Also playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on my Laptop.
So many games i want but can't afford =(
