Content Warning & Haste split

Landfall Publishing gave us a surprise double-whammy yesterday, 1st April 2026, on the Switch 2 eShop when it dropped two of its games on the digital storefront.

One of these we knew about, but the date was up in the air - Content Warning, which has received a release on Switch 2 and Switch 1, was announced during the August 2025 Indie World Showcase. And yesterday's eShop release was the first time we'd heard anything about the Switch version since then. It's just $9.99 in the US on both consoles — or £8.99 on Switch 2 in the UK (£7.99 on Switch 1).

You've probably heard of Content Warning even before last year's announcement; it was a huge viral horror hit when it came to Steam in 2024, and is all about making spooky films with your friends in an attempt to get popular online.

It's a co-op experience where things can get chaotic very quickly as you explore the underground ancient world called 'The Old World'. You can film monsters and strange events while attempting to make money and hit a high enough view count to make even better videos in the process.

On the other end of the spectrum, here's something we didn't see coming: Haste, a high-speed running game that's got a little bit of Sonic DNA, is out now on Switch 2. Except instead of going fast for the sake of it, you're trying to outrun the end of the world.

Each stage is procedurally generated, and your goal is to speed and trick your way through every level as your environment changes around you. You'll need to build your character, Zoe, to match each challenge and tackle four different bosses.

It completely embraces the "just one more run" ethos of the roguelike genre. It came to steam in 2025, and the console release is brand new for 2026. It'll set you back just $19.99 / £15.99 (or your regional equivalent) on the eShop.

So, that's two nice surprises arriving on April Fool's day. Landfall seem to be leaning into the new console with these releases, so perhaps we'll see 2025's big viral hit, Peak, come to the console? Fingers crossed...
