We're 100% getting either MH Wilds or a new exclusive Monster Hunter game similar to Rise on Switch 2. And I think RE4 Remake is inevitable, but I'd love to see all of the RE Engine Resident Evil games make their way over (DMC5 too!)

I'm glad I waited so long to play Cyberpunk, because now I can jump into the Switch 2 version and treat it like a brand-new game. I admire CDPR so much for getting the entire game on the card, taking advantage of mouse controls, and seemingly getting the game well optimized (though that is truly yet to be seen, I guess)
Day. One. Purchase.

Pretty much for its entire life cycle, I've had a recurring thought about the Switch.
"This thing is perfect, I just wish it were a little bit more powerful."
And that's exactly what Switch 2 is! The mouse mode looks awesome, I think the redesign of the pro-controller and JoyCons look great, but I really don't need anything beyond that. Just keep making the same high-quality games, keep securing these 3rd party ports, just do it in a more powerful box now. This is legit all I need.

I'm a bit skeptical of THPS 4, but honestly, the remakes of 1&2 were so good that I'm still excited. Plus, THPS 3 seems like a slam dunk, so it's still worth a day one purchase from me. I wish the Switch 2 port were day & date, but I'll just get the Switch 1 version for now

I'd be super curious to ask the folks still buying Switch 1 consoles why they're buying them now? Spare? Upgrade to OLED? Waited until end of the generation? I'm genuinely curious to know

My least favorite thing about the Switch was the standard 'white text on red background' spines. Sooo boring. Very uniform, but boring

Mind you, this is the guy who basically destroyed the studio's relationship with Xbox with his crappy behavior, and caused Microsoft to not purchase the studio (if certain rumors are to be believed)

So, if we can assume that Sony has an unspecified/unspoken 5-year console exclusivity clause on FFVII remake trilogy, then I guess the cadence would be;

Intergrade: 2025
Rebirth: 2029
Third and final game: 2031, IF we assume that it will release on PS5 next year

By the way, before anyone says, "they never said 5 years," I know. BUTTTTT if you look at Death Stranding, another 3rd party exclusive, it 5 years to the day of the release of Death Stranding that the Xbox port was released. Sony has been very cagey with exclusivity details this generation (lookin at you Black Myth WuKong), so I'm not totally crazy here

At this point, I just assume every 3rd party Switch 2 game is on a key card unless told otherwise, not the other way around

I'm gonna get to meet Grant at a game convention in my area in July. I think I'll have him sign my childhood copy of DK64, so the urge to mention how Nintendo hates it to him is rising hahaha

I know this is specifically about Nintendo franchises, but weirdly enough, I'm most excited for a lot of third-party games on Switch 2. I'm very disenchanted/disheartened with current gen Xbox, and I'm not a huge fan of modern PlayStation either, so potentially making Switch 2 my primary/default console would be HUGE for me. Already seeing Hitman, Cyberpunk, Yakuza, Street Fighter, and Borderlands make their way over is mega exciting to me. And I hope we'll see Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, WWE 2K, DOOM, and a whole lot of other series make their way over sooner rather than later. And once we start getting ports of Xbox IP?? We're gonna be eating GOOD.

Now, having said all of that, I'd die if we got a new Mario Baseball. Also, it's a long shot, but a Star Fox game in the style of Adventures or Assault would be amazing.

@Discostew That's been a godsend for me with Series X this generation. Doubtful, but maybe that'll get patched in during a system update at some point

@westman98 Shout out to CD Projekt for knowing the words COMPRESSION and OPTIMIZATION. They should hold a seminar to teach Activision, EA, Microsoft, and Ubisoft what those words mean

I open it every day to see the cute animations and see if anything fun or exciting has popped up. I spent way too long looking at the 3D model of the pro controller the other day. It's not very useful, but it's cute, fun, and wholesome, and sometimes that's all I need

I know everyone is in their feels about the key cards, but let me tell you, THIS is the real predatory "physical" solution that has to stop. This serves ZERO purpose other than to make all of us mad and frustrated. Taking away resale value from a physical game defeat half the purpose of why people still buy physical. It's just DUMB

I can't wait to replay this on Switch 2 with the new pro controller! I've played a lot of these missions dozens of times, but they never get old

I can't wait for all of these to make their way over to Switch 2. I need a valid excuse to replay all of them at least two more times each (gotta love that New Game Plus mode, baybee)

One of the most solid puzzlers I've ever played. Highly recommend!

Managed to get the console only version, physical copy of Mario Kart World, and a pro controller. Before the console releases I'm hoping to scoop Yakuza 0, and right after that would be Cyberpunk and DK Bananza just a couple of weeks later. Then there's Jamboree and the camera around same time. So much to play, so little time. My wallet is sad, but I am content.

Dang, I was hoping to put off buying an SD card for a while, but it looks like it'll be sooner rather than later

@TwinFami Frankly, and I'm not trying to "console war" or anything like that, I think it's because almost no one cares about or wants a PS5 Pro. Even the PS4 Pro, which we now know didn't sell incredibly well, had some scarcity.

Unlike PS5 or Series X/S, it seems like the Switch 2 scarcity is less about not having enough consoles, and more about not being able to efficiently distribute them fast enough. Like, there's probably enough Switch 2 consoles for me, you, your dog, and your Aunt Betty to get one, it's just that nobody can stock and sell them fast enough.

Please note, it's highly likely that I'm 100% wrong, but I appreciate y'all humoring me

One of my favorite games of all-time already. I'll hold off on this if it's a full price port, but if it's a free or cheap upgrade, I will happily do that day one in preparation for my third playthrough
