I could see Madden on Switch 2 (especially the first one) quietly selling extremely well. Like, millions of copies well. It's not even out of the realm of possibility that a Switch 2 version would outsell the Xbox versions of the game going forward, assuming it has all the same features and modes

@Metazoxan 100%, I've noticed that too. I think this has brought out the worst in everybody, honestly. And Nintendo just NOT allowing Palworld on their platform is plenty enough "punishment" to get back at the uninspired, copied designs. Dragging this into court is just petty. Hit them in their wallets, not in their right to exist!

This whole situation is silly. Should we make fun of Palworld for lazy, uninspired monster designs CLEARLY "inspired" by Pokemon? Absolutely. But I don't think that it's grounds for litigation, just for ridicule. It'd be like if Eidos had sued Naughty Dog for Uncharted being HEAVILY inspired by Tomb Raider. It just doesn't pass the sniff test.

Let's just say hypothetically that the Odyssey team has been exclusively working on DK since 2017. That begs the question, who would be making 3D Mario? What if no one is making one right now? Or development is still super early? What if the Odyssey team isn't starting on Mario until AFTER DK is out? This thing might be months away or half a decade away tbh

I'm glad they didn't go through LRG for the physical release, but not having a pre-order period is kinda wild. I hope no one else follows this same format for physical

I worry I'll develop some kind of a nervous habit of popping these things on and off for fun, and it's going to prematurely wear them out
