I hope I can see the GDC presentations for TOTK because it looks like a miracle the game even runs with all the systems going on under the hood with regard to physics, dynamic music et cetera. Absolute wizards, Nintendo.

I'd love to see a Lost Levels-style game with harder levels, it would appeal greatly to experienced Mario players. Some of the late game levels were great challenges and it felt like the rest of the game was too easy.

In a way, the fact that a game as ambitious and huge as TOTK runs on the Switch at all makes it automatically deserving of GOTY. The fact that they made TOTK at least twice as big, and add game-breaking mechanics like Ascend, and add mechanics like Ultrahand and Fuse that required a complete rethink of the game's design... and it somehow runs better than Breath of the Wild? What can't this team do?

Gutted, E3 was an event I looked forward to every year. Geoff Keighley’s SGF and TGA replacements feel far too corporate and cynical for me.

If I was still a kid I know my parents would have held back the game until Xmas, so that's a surefire way to guarantee consistent sales.

Nah they're brilliant. Not too in-your-face and not too grating. The voice acting was superb because you really get the feeling they're... well... encouraging you. Even as an adult it's pretty heartwarming.

Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it especially since it's living up to the hype.

I was looking forward to seeing Ganondorf realised in a proper way but it was disappointing that he got three scenes with Link throughout the entire game, literally at the beginning, middle and end. The fact that most of his scenes are in the distant past and missable makes it harder to appreciate him.

Looks like a true sequel to Stardew, take your sweet time!

Picked it up on discount and before I knew it 40 hours had passed. Top 3 platformers of ALL TIME even on a bad day, it's not even funny.

My TOTK overload wasn't noticeable but I put 180 hours into the game in the first six weeks and haven't touched it in the last six.

Damn… if there’s any soundtrack that deserves the love it’s Xenoblade… the three games have probably my top 5 gaming soundtracks of all time and X isn’t even that far behind.

So from now on game studios can't show their map or anything engaging in the loading screen without Nintendo's permission? How is this even remotely legal?

Bought the game for the second time and played through all over again and it was so worth it. This game is built for Switch and any JRPG fan worth anything needs to buy this game.

TOTK definitely got worse the more I played it... from the repetitive sky islands to the bland Depths, the same open-ended dungeon design and the same disjointed story... Zelda games have so much more focus than this.

Glad there’s a way to get it without buying the amiibo… as much as I love the series I ain’t buying them.

Wouldn’t be surprised if TOTK sells more than Breath of the Wild, and that was already the top selling Zelda game by a country mile

@Bluelink45 Nah they did a lot for Breath of the Wild. The director would “talk about” cooking recipes and then say “here, make it yourself with these ingredients!”

I got their guide for Breath of the Wild and it was absolutely fantastic. It even came with a folded-up map of the entire world, with every shrine and tower location. Can't recommend it enough!

Nintendo’s whole mantra is that their games are so good that they practically sell their consoles. Without exclusives Nintendo is pretty much finished for that reason.

This is the same guy that “believes in clear console generations” and ports half of the PS5 library to PS4. I trust nothing out of Jim Ryan’s mouth at this point, and this isn’t just hypocritical, it’s derogatory.
