Re: Reminder: PokΓ©mon Scarlet & Violet + DLC Physical Release Now Available

jco83

@nukatha This is a worldwide release. @SwitchForce There will be no later Japanese release.

@SwitchForce These "base game + DLC" physical versions cost much more than the base games.

This is a similar situation to the recent Japan-only 'Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + Booster Course Pass' physical version which released before the final Wave of DLC, so will also require an update.

Re: Best Metal Gear Games On Nintendo Systems

FYI: the listing for Metal Gear Solid on the Nintendo UK website lists Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake under where it says "[Title lineup]" 🧐 https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/METAL-GEAR-SOLID-Master-Collection-Version-2408318.html
Note: this is the listing for just Metal Gear Solid, not the whole collect Interesting -

"[Title lineup]

Metal Gear

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions)

Regional versions of the titles are available as additional downloads.

[Digital book]

Metal Gear Solid: Screenplay Book

Metal Gear Solid: Master Book

Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Screenplay Book

Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Master Book

The digital books can be accessed from the game's main menu screen."

Re: UK Charts: PS5 Bundles Help Keep Lego Star Wars At The Top Of The Pile

jco83

@Aelynn yeh I was watchin it all unfold on HotUKDeals It was crazy how many PS5 console deals were being posted!

GAME had Forspoken as one of the free game options with the console (Β£399.99), Saints Row was another one of the options. These were also included in their Β£299.99 console trade-in offer (Β£299.99 was the price when trading-in a PS4 Slim 500GB or Xbox One S 500GB/1TB. Other console trade-in prices varied).

Currys had Lego Star Wars for free with PS5 (Β£399), they also had + Forspoken for Β£409, or + Miles Morales for Β£419, or + Gran Turismo for Β£429. So that could perhaps be why those games are also in the chart.

Re: Surprise! Red Dead Redemption Blasts Onto Switch Next Week

@RudyC3 "afford" !? ahahahahahahaha πŸ˜‚ "surely they could afford a 16GB card to ship the game on this time!" You serious!?? 🀣 They could AFFORD to ship it on solid gold, diamond encrusted carts!! It's nothing to do with what they could afford. It's everything to do with what they can save! Do you have any idea how rich Take Two is !? 🀯

As far as I can think, all of Take Two's physical Switch games have required additional download. It's all about profit they don't care about anything else

What about the type screen people were reporting/talking about a while ago made by Panasonic was it ? (I'm sure the name of the company began with a P)

It was said to be a better screen technology, but still LCD if I remember correctly

*Update: Ah I think the report I was thinking if was the Sharp IGZO screen https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/08/new_switch_models_to_reportedly_benefit_from_sharps_energy_efficient_igzo_displays

Re: Switch Online N64 Controllers Are Back In Stock Now

jco83

@Skunkfish oh don't mention gig tickets. Someone close to me had been saying how much they want to see Foo Fighters live, I heard tickets were about to go on sale in a couple of days and sent them the link to the official site to buy tickets when they go on sale, for some reason (not the most internet savvy person) they just googled it and ended up on a resellers site where they paid over double the price 🀬

Re: Switch Online N64 Controllers Are Back In Stock Now

@NintendoWife Well a complete reset makes the most business sense doesn't it πŸ‘€

Upgrade previously released games to make use of new hardware's features, and resell.

Full backwards compatibility and purchase library retention would of course be nice, but they aren't obligated to provide that. Though I imagine it would generate quite a backlash if they didn't.

Seeing as they've made their Virtual Console games into a subscription service, that should be fairly easy to carry forward I would think.

@Skunkfish Sorry about my comment yesterday. It's just how I felt since they have always sold out so quickly once news of stock spread. Of course it being shared on a Nintendo fansite is very likely the best place to share it, I shouldn't have been negative. Sorry
