Re: 'Switch 2 Editions' Are Supposedly A Switch Game Card And Download Code For The Upgrade Pack

@dartmonkey seeing as there was this initial report but it didn't show the question the person had asked โš ๏ธ and then 2 subsequent reports both stating these S2E physical games do come all on the cart . . . it seems only right to add a proper update to this article reflecting that . . .

the original report itself was only from a customer service rep anyway. but the fact the question asked was not visible, makes it unreliable . . .

the two subsequent reports are clearly talking about S2E physical games.

no reason not to update this article ๐Ÿ™‚

you can always post a new article when you receive confirmation yourselves ๐Ÿ’ช

Re: Rumour: Placeholder Retail Listing Suggests Switch 2 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Expected

@Overzeal it isn't so much the conversions of 500 CAD that matter, more the differences in MSRP of current console

For reference, the Switch OLED model currently retails for $449.99 CAD / $348.99 USD / ยฃ309.99 GBP respectively.

can see the difference between Switch OLED at 450 CAD and this possible Switch2 price 500 CAD, is +โ…‘

so do the same to the US / EU Switch OLED MSRP and you get ~390 USD / EUR

(Nintendo's EUR & USD numbers match, FYI ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ)

and do the same for UK Switch OLED RRP and you get ~345 GBP

@Medic_alert this article is about the Canadian price possibly being 500 CAD

and the article states

499 Canadian dollars converts to around 350 USD / 280 GBP at the time of writing

and

the Switch OLED model currently retails for $449.99 CAD / $348.99 USD / ยฃ309.99 GBP respectively.

Nintendo Switch2 hybrid console will not be comparable to PS5 home console & Xbox Series X home console

there is absolutely no reason to think Switch2 could be priced ยฃ500 ๐Ÿ™‚

it'll likely be around ยฃ350

I'm unsure why ยฃ280 is being touted when the article has a much more accurate conversion to use:

"For reference, the Switch OLED model currently retails for $449.99 CAD / $348.99 USD / ยฃ309.99 GBP respectively."

If $450 CAD = ยฃ310, then $500 CAD would be ยฃ344. If that holding price proves accurate, I would expect the UK launch price to be ยฃ349.99, which is not unrealistic.

@1UP_MARIO actually it's less now as they lowered the price from ยฃ49.99 to ยฃ45.99. so anyone who ordered it at ยฃ39.99 using the 20% off code can now contact Currys to ask for the difference back, or to cancel your order, then reorder at the new price ยฃ36.79 using the code "DONKEY20" - there's 2 listings: one including the themed cleaning cloth, one without.

Re: Rumour: New 'Switch 2' Photos Show Off A Very Legit-Looking Joy-Con

@FreakAxident i just don't think you've thought it through. the side piece which sticks out of the joy-con will insert into a slot on the side of the console (have you seen the previous leaked image of the side of the console ?). given the depth of the slot, this will provide very substantial stability, it will be very rigid. the magnets will keep it attached, and the shape of the insert & slot will keep it rigid. that's it

Re: Rumour: New 'Switch 2' Photos Show Off A Very Legit-Looking Joy-Con

jco83

@FreakAxident if you look at the top and bottom of the edge you can see a round shape which could be the magnets, the round shape at the top has a smaller circle inside which could push the top of the joy-con away from the console enough to allow the joy-con to be detached ๐Ÿง i can't imagine nintendo deciding to go with magnetic connection only for it to require additional locking as well. i've been hoping the release button may also be usable as an additional trigger button when using the individual joy-con held horizontally ๐Ÿ™‚

i don't understand everyone banging on about OLED screens. i personally did not like the oversaturated vibrant look of the Switch OLED Model (with the 'vibrant mode' [or however it's named] enabled [as it is by default]). there is absolutely nothing wrong with the regular Switch model screen, my launch model Switch is the one i prefer to use over the Lite and the OLED model.

also, everyone seems to have completely forgotten that Sharp announced years ago that they would be supplying their IGZO displays for an upcoming Nintendo console ๐Ÿง granted, this announcement happened years ago, at a time when Nintendo were likely planning Switch Pro (which got cancelled), but it's likely they would be used now in the new console. IGZO displays have far superior power efficiency, along with other beneficial features.

@Ninetaled i saw a separate video all about that video he did, so i know about it. and while i was very disappointed to hear about it, and at the time i actually decided i wouldn't watch any of his videos anymore, i am so glad i didn't stick to that, and the fact it was deleted says a lot.

but anything else he has done has no effect on how incredibly insightful and eye-opening this "Nintendo v. Palworld" video is
