WarioWare: Get It Together! is bringing mini-game mayhem to the Nintendo Switch this September. It's a little different this around - requiring players to take control of Wario and his friends in order to tackle each microgame.
If you're still not sure if this will be your kind of thing, Nintendo is now offering a free demo on the Switch eShop - allowing you to try out a selection of minigames.
Here's the rundown about what to expect, when the full game releases:
"Wario is back! But this time, his friends are also playable! In WarioWare: Get It Together!, play through a vast array of quick microgames as Wario or his friends. Each character has a distinct ability, changing the way you tackle each microgame. For the first time in the series, two players can also play microgames together on the same screen by sharing two Joy-Con controllers, or using wireless play with an additional system and game."
WarioWare: Get It Together! is up for pre-order now for $49.99 / £39.99 and launches on 10th September. Will you be downloading this demo? Leave a comment down below.

JIMMY T: "Oooh, yeah!"
feel like I don’t need a demo , already day 1 for me! But hope this brings joy to all and brings more ppl to buy it!
Is it live in Europe/UK?
@Pokester99 Yes, Mario Odyssey is worse than SMB2. BOTW is worse than Zelda 2.
Maybe Pokemon? I wish I enjoyed the new games, but point taken there. I can’t think of a single other franchise that would fit the build. They still make great games for the most part.
The demo was like 10 minutes long and I have no idea what was happening but I weirdly want more.
Lol, like how Ninty gave themselves a 9/10
Edit: It's a date nvm, I am high IQ
Love this series and play the original to death on my 3ds.... Cant wait for this. Demo is fun!
I'm gonna give it a shot. Hopefully it's good in single player, since I don't have friends to do couch co-op with, and online mode doesn't exist..
Since when does Wario give away anything for free...🤔
Highly sus...🧐
@Pokester99 you’ve got to be teasing us.
Guess you haven’t played Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Pikmin 3 or Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
tried it out, there may be skepticism with only using button controls, but it really does play diff like any other warioware would!
the diff characters really do keep me on my toes with microgames (if not making them easier or harder), and with over 200 microgames this warioware seems to be as packed as ever.
i might not be able to play much couch coop, but online play does leave me interested. shame characters like ana and spitz are strictly for multiplayer, otherwise this is probably the most personality we've seen out of the cast yet. really excited for this game
edit: looked into it again, the "online" portion seems to only be for ranking against other peoples scores and times online. so nothing that big at all
I'm not going to get it day one, But man I needed a demo.
That demo was really good. Short, but realllly good.
Definitely has more of a learning curve than some of the past games, but it's fun once you understand how each character interacts with each microgame (since in some cases it's an adjustment). There's some good variety in how the characters play, too, and aside from Kat, all of them are fun to control. Looking forward to the full release
@boxyguy There's online play? I thought it was just couch co-op only.
Just played through the demo and unlocked everybody in the demo.
Hoo boy, I was truly on the fence for this one and I really wanted to give this game a chance to impress me, but the whole multiple characters thing that worried me since its announcement was more than enough to make this title an automatic skip for me.
The multiple playable characters thing completely destroyed the focus of the Wario Ware gameplay for me (shuffled microgames were good enough as is. That's it. Nothing else) as I felt that the game constantly trolled me at every turn. One character, I'm able to move around. 18-Volt, I couldn't move and had to rely on those floating rings to move around. And so on and on and on and on. The game doesn't give me enough time to relate to the characters as I'm constantly being swapped of them here and there, not to mention that I'm not given enough time to prepare for which microgame is coming up when playing as said swapped character. I'm somewhat more willing to tolerate the gimmicks as seen in Twisted, Touched, and even Game & Wario...but Get It, Together! (or more aptly, "Get It Outta Here!") is where I draw the line.
That said, I do hope that everybody else getting this game enjoys it to the fullest and hope that this game helps the Switch sell. As for me, I'll be getting Mario Party Superstars instead for my Switch party game needs.
@Bizzyb If Wario had his way, it would be micro transaction city. 😉
If I download it, I'll very probably have to buy it... And right now I shouldn't, but I don't know if I'll be able to control myself
And every time I hear the name Wario in the title of a new game, I remember how much I loved Wario Land Shake It. So many collectibles, a great game! But I know the chance of seeing a port of it released for Switch is close to zero
@VoidofLight it's one the the things it highlights after playing the demo a few times. I don't remember what it features specifically, but Im definitely intrigued about it
The demo is ridiculously fun. I can't wait to play this game with friends once it's safe to gather around
@Bizzyb He gave us a free WarioWare: Touched! via My Nintendo onthe 3DS and also the demo of WarioWare Gold.
He can be kind of nice sometimes, in Wario World if you pause the game he'll start singing annoyingly and he'll apologize and stop singing... after 50 minutes.
The demo is wacky and fun, just like it should
Yeah I wi download it. I have enjoyed how the game series has used the various quirks and game system features in past Wariowares. I think I have played every single game in the series in my time.
@Pokester99 I think the series peaked at ‘Twisted!’. ’Smooth Moves is pretty interesting and Gold was solid, but I think all the highs were hit pretty early on in the series.
@Silly_G
I read that exactly as I was supposed to.
The demo is so good! Makes me even more excited for the full game! I'll definitely pick up 2 copies on day 1. I love that this game supports local wireless play 😁.
Honestly, after playing the demo, I can say it’s pretty good. Not as good as gold, or the other games, but better than Game and Wario. There are a couple of things I’m iffy on, like the fact that a lot of the microgames feel similar to eachother due to the platformer gimmick.. but I’m still going to get the full game.
That was crazy, but really fun! I was on the fence, but now I think I´ll get it day one.
I just wish Nintendo releases more demos of their games! I´d love a demo for New Pokemon Snap or Mario Golf, for example. I´m not sure about those ones. Also for Metroid Dread or Advance Wars. Oh well, pretty much for every game!
What a brilliant demo. Wasn't sure about this but I'm sold. I love how each character plays differently. It makes every mini game feel different for each one. Really excited about the full release now.
@the_beaver Yeah they should have more demos. I personally love New Pokemon Snap and Mario Golf Super Rush. A demo of Super Rush allowing people to play a few rounds on online multiplayer speed golf would probably sell a lot of copies of the game. I've played like 45 hours of online multiplayer. Even though I know I'll like it, I haven't even started the single player campaign. Snap is also amazingly good.
And I love this demo of Warioware!
The most exciting thing about the demo os that right away you see the Pyoro bird in the intro movie! I'm so excited to see if there's a new version of Pyoro! The demo is very good. I love the music, sound design, presentation, new and unique gameplay, and pretty much everything about the demo. Can't wait to play the full game. I just can't decide digital or physical.
Very nice to have a demo. Before trying it out I was not sure if the game would feel as special as the previous ones because you play as the characters, but now after playing some rounds it gets more fun every time when you get to play as a different character in a microgame. I am sold, will definitely get it.
I was really worried about the controls and playing as the characters directly but very impressed with the demo! I think the different play-styles will give the game more replay value and seems to have a crazy amount of moves. Also liked how you can just have a team of 3 which I think will be good playing with casual players as they can just select the most simple to control ones.
@60frames-please i agee with you, really hoped for a pokemon snap demo as i couldn’t imagine what it would be like… in the end i emulate the n64 version and then bought it second hand..
@Spiders i do love the thr big twisted thing on my gba micro:).. i agree with you i guess… do love to have gold, but it feels more like good memories, than the obsession the earlier games gave me… do like the extra modes in gold though.. everybody who thinks gold is just a collection of the old games hasn’t played the game properly.. the new modes completely change the game..
My switch is charging now, but will try the demo soon… was dissapointed warioware comes after the holidays since it such a handheld game , but now the demo should fix my holiday wario ware fix.. greetings from sunny portugal…
New features/overview trailer... Unfortunately is in Japanese, lol
There looks to a shed load of goodies to unlock including colour pallettes to change the character's appearances.
I'm a bit disappointed that a lot of the side modes are only for for 2-4 players. Why can't we play them against CPU?
One of the single player modes is called "Friendless Battle" That's harsh. 🤣
@Clyde_Radcliffe I saw that and it really makes me wish that there will be an option for Japanese voicing!
I liked it, it's warioware so it's hard to mess it up. I think I'm gonna hold off on this one for now though, given that I have no one to play this game with right now.
Aye, this is more like it..
The bland, dull, lifeless menus of WarioWare Gold have gone, and we're back to having "The Nintendo Heart" back in a WarioWare game.
Gud gud!
Enjoyed the demo enough to pre-order it. .. if I hadn't already pre-ordered it the second it was available to do so....
@anzzjam Zelda 2 is worse than BotW by far. It's aged badly too!
Great demo. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I did! Some of the characters are just trollier than others. Maybe it will balance out when the complete game releases. It just seems that some microgames were not made for some characters.
@romanista I might be underrating GOLD too... it’s the game in the 3DS slot since I lost my charger and never looked back.
I should grab one and get back on the horse... 3DS has all the prequels games to the titles I want this holiday (SMTIV: Apocalypse, Samus Returns, Warioware Gold) that I dropped for whatever reason.
Used to play the original on a GBA emulator with a couple friends gathered around taking turns, was really fun. Definitely a worthy sequel/remake from what the demo showed. Think I'll keep the demo to play on occasion since woo pandemic and don't have money for it.
@papermarioamiibo "It just seems that some microgames were not made for some characters"
Yeah, like the hypnotize one with the butterfly if you play as 18 volt. 😕 So hard to get rid of the butterfly!
@anzzjam
I would rather play Super Mario Bros. 2 or Zelda 2 than Mario Odyssey any day of the week. Breath of the Wild is pretty hard to top, but being as how you're comparing old-school 2-d games with modern 3d, open-world-ish games, that's kinda like apples and oranges there and in very subjective territory as well.
Game Xplain had a bit more about the online leadership boards in their video. They said Nintendo will bring put out weekly challenges which players can pay their scores on. Shame no proper online play though. 😕 Wonder if they might add later if it sells well.
@Sciqueen Yes, that is the joke.
Hoping an online Battle Royale mode is part of this. WarioWare seems perfect for it.
Tried it, super excited! I swooned when i saw the splatoon microgames
The demo was fun. I'm still unsure about the different playable characters mechanics though. Switching characters does liven up the gameplay, but it also makes it a bit more confusing.
Awesome! I can't wait for the release day!
@Pokester99 The best one was inside story, but dream team was also great. Metroid… I assume you mean Super Metroid and even then, many people can’t stand that game compared to the newer entries. Animal Crossing, maybe you are right. I could never get into those games, and I’ve tried them all since the DS days. I personally like new leaf more only because I really like the 3D on the 3ds. All in all, you seem to think the best days are behind you, and that makes me sad.
@Pokester99 guess you haven’t played Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Pikmin 3 or Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
Being a Wario game, I'm surprised the demo doesn't have a price tag.
@60frames-please Great call-out. I loved playing Pyoro in “Bird & Beans” on the DS and 3DS. Fully satisfied my 45-degree shooting needs. I forgot that Pyoro is in the WarioWare games also
@romanista Yeah Twisted on the GBA Micro was like a cartridge that just required a tiny screen to be played. I often actually held the game by the cartridge when playing.
@Pokester99 so you mention 6 franchises and say 'one of few', even though I mentioned more that actually got better with each release.
Hollow reasoning mate....
@sfb Pyoro (aka the horribly lacking name "bird and beans") is such a classic little mini game. I've got it on my 3DS and Wii U (via the original Warioware GBA game pn virtual console). It would be so fun to have it on Switch. I'll love Warioware Get It Together no matter what, but really hope Pyoro is in there!
That WarioWare demo is fantastic.
I was already excited, admittedly, after recently discovering WarioWare Gold not long back. I was originally under the assumption it was shovelware and never gave the series a second glance. But after playing WarioWare Gold on 3DS, I realized it was anything but. Smooth Moves on Wii was even better.
So I was already excited. BUT. I had my doubts about controlling characters and whether it would be able to offer the same level of variety and engagement.
Turns out, not only is it every bit as fun as previous entries, it may even be better. Controlling different characters brings a lot more variety to the gameplay. You can play the same mini game a dozen times and get a different experience each time. And the large cast of characters, with each mini game mixing up which one you play as and having to remember how each of them controls, makes it that much more challenging and interesting.
This game is even better than I’d hoped.
@Pokester99
I would like to note that most units sold =/= best game in the series. If Nintendo farted in a game case…
I would like to note that you farting out an opinion =/= truth or consensus. You’re free to form your own beliefs about each game, of course, and I completely respect that. But most people would disagree with you.
When you say some people would argue [Odyssey] isn’t the best in the series maybe so. And yet, many would argue that. And even more would argue the series has gotten better with time and with each entry, as a general rule.
As for Tropical Freeze, the majority of gamers who have played it agree it’s not only the best in the series, But the greatest 2D platformer of all time. You don’t have to agree but the fact is, many feel that way.
And Animal Crossing, that’s just objectively better than previous entries. It offers everything the previous game offered and much more, and each entry has added more than the previous one. Regardless of what criticisms you may have, the game is the best the series has ever seen.
You’re free to feel Mario Kart DS is a better game than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but again, most would strongly disagree. Very strongly. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is basically the perfect Mario Kart. More courses, better courses, more characters, refined mechanics… it’s just a better game in the eyes of most. And even if it wasn’t, one game being better from 15 years ago doesn’t set a trend as a general rule of games being worse with each entry. That’s just illogical.
Even Pokémon, for all its faults, has gotten better with time.
So, you’re free to your opinions, however misguided and ill informed they may be. But just remember, they do not speak for everyone and they do not define reality.
@Pokester99 others have already answered and you can have your opinion. Just don’t state your opinion as fact.
Why are you guys bothering to feed the troll? Just hit ignore and move on. Let them cry into their own echo chamber. This site is so much more pleasant once you do that.
The demo is so good. I can't stop playing it. My record is 56 so far. It's gets really fast at that point.
@Friendly Can't the same be said the other way around? You are stating that Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Pikmin 3 or Super Smash Brothers Ultimate are the best of the series while not everyone agrees.
I know some people who are long time Zelda fans but did not like BOTW because the lack of dungeons. I myself also consider New Horison one of the worst of the series which I am certainly not alone in.
Edit: I also prefer Galaxy 1 and 2 over Odyssey while it still was a good game and I couldn't get myself into Three Houses as much as some previous Fire Emblem games.
@Jey887 Are you already a troll when you consider Wario Ware one of the less Nintendo franchises that did not get worse with time? He just did not like the most recent Nintendo games as much. Guess that makes you a troll now......
@JaxonH "And Animal Crossing, that’s just objectively better than previous entries. It offers everything the previous game offered and much more, and each entry has added more than the previous one. Regardless of what criticisms you may have, the game is the best the series has ever seen."
This is just factually untrue, New Horizons cut the most content from previous instalments of the series. It certainly does not offer everything and more.
Edit: This video can probably elaborate about the amount of lost content. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt5hk5tsFik&list=PL39XjrUXa8HHqYLvyGhaIDfZYSTR1ULFC
@Pokester99 let me quote you… ‘teasing you with facts’.
And let me quote you again ‘Sooner or later, my take on Nintendo's franchises will be the majority's, like it or not.’
God….. So full of yourself…
@MajorTom I am not saying they’re the best. I am saying that with the amount of examples given you can definitely not state that most Nintendo franchises get worse ‘with every release’. That’s just bullocks.
@Friendly True, them getting worse with "every release" is obviously not true. I get your point. His statements were certainly exaggerated to a bit of an extreme extend.
@Friendly
At some point, you realize the type of person you're talking to, and it makes it so much easier to just block and move on. They're not having conversation in good faith, they're intentionally antagonizing because it gets their rocks off. Which means no amount of reason or logic will accomplish anything.
You know how it is.
@MajorTom
Fair enough. Should have been more careful with my words. Yes, some things have been cut, obviously. But a lot of new things have been added too. The base of the game continues to be built on. The broader point being, the series gets better with every game, which even your linked video mentions itself.
@JaxonH Ok, I can agree with the fundamentals. But also like mentioned in the video has New Horizons lost a lot of its experimental edges from the previous games and that the new features sacrificed a lot of its nuance. In general I agree that Animal Crossing games iterated per instalment, but New Horizons is a bit of a mixed bag. It took more of the basic features away than it should have, like the upgradeable shops, the minigames on the island and many of the old furniture sets.
I’m loving this entry in the series. It’s very good. I’ll be giving this one a buy.
@FishyS WarioWare in a nutshell.
