It's believed Crash Bandicoot could soon be returning in a new multiplayer game, with a reveal possibly taking place at some point throughout next week.

According to Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, a new Crash Bandicoot "brawler" game designed for multiple players up to four players may get revealed by Toys For Bob. He reportedly let this information slip on the latest Windows Central podcast. Here's what he had to say (thanks, Pure Xbox):

"New Crash? I wonder where you got that information from? I wasn't supposed to leak that."

"I think we could see a new Crash Bandicoot, and not only is it gonna be a new Crash Bandicoot, it's gonna be a multiplayer Crash Bandicoot... It's like a four-player brawler almost, but Crash oriented."

"Wumpa League" has been rumoured for some time now, although there's no guarantee that's what this game might be, or what it will necessarily be called. Jez himself said he couldn't recall the official title during the podcast.

It's also unclear at this point in time what platforms it would be released on. Switch has got all of the Crash remasters so far, including the new fourth entry - so hopefully it's included in any future announcement if there is one.

Toys for Bob also said there was more Crash Bandicoot coming "very soon" during last year's anniversary celebrations:
