Yeah, a lot of people will say Sony or Microsoft won E3 but this one single game has me more excited than any of the other conferences this year. This game looks incredible already and we've only seen the smallest fraction of it. I think it really gives off an 'original LoZ' vibe, it's a huge open world and they basically just let you loose in it. I'm going to get so lost
Yeah, I don't really get how anyone thinks that this game isn't going to be amazing. We've seen so little, so it's all speculation but as a huge Zelda fan I can already say this will probably be one of the best, if not the best game in the series.
Oh man, is that ever gorgeous! So stoked for Tuesday! I'm turning on the stream right when I get home from work, so I should only miss about an hour or two of it.
Hm, I'll have to wait and see about this one. The SoS games have been good so far but I just don't get as into them as I do with the older games. 64/BtN, Magical Melody and A Wonderful Life are still my go-to HM games.
I'm alright with the Zelda delay and I'm alright with waiting for this. If the devs think they need a little bit more time, than I'm sure it will be worth the wait. I'll admit I am a bit disappointed simply because there isn't much left this year to look forward to on the Wii U... Good thing I have a PS4!
I'll probably grab Streets 2, haven't played it since I was a kid and one of my friends broke my Sega... I've been meaning to check out the 3D version for a while anyway.
Looks great but what's with the hate for chip tune music? I think the music works perfectly with the visuals, in fact, a more modern score probably would ruin it for me.
As disappointing as their plans are, I find it hard not to be excited about Zelda. Honestly, even just Zelda already makes it better than last year's E3 for me, where I got excited about... nothing? I can't even remember.
@fanguy Not too sure, but I really hope so! That was one of my favourite features of any Pokemon game and they've really only done it once. They NEED to bring it back!
I'll be disappointed with their E3 overall if it's all they show, but Zelda is my favourite game series of all time, I can't be sad about a whole day of new footage, info, etc.
It's a good thing I'm excited for other companies' presentations as well.
Well, I'm super excited for all the new Zelda info we're going to get, but it's a good thing I'm looking forward to a bunch of other companies' presentations this year or I probably would be disappointed with Nintendo's approach.
Yeah, with Bravely Second, Pokemon, and the Dragon Quests, I think it's safe to say I'm pretty content. Plus all those other RPGs I need to check out...
I'm not surprised by this, but no mention of the Wii U? Not good... They, at the very least, need to see the Wii U off with some decent games or the fans' whose trust they've been losing recently aren't going to invest in another console.
As much as I want to play this right now, I don't really mind waiting THAT much. It would be a lot more bearable if they'd give us some more info, or screenshots, or something!
I'd prefer a live-action Zelda or Metroid film... Hell, a live-action Mario would be a better idea than this. I won't completely write this off though, it could still be interesting.
Unfortunately, I just don't have the money right now. WW Link and MM Link will just have to do for the time being, so hopefully Zelda doesn't become a rare one like Red did.
I have all 3 DKCs on Wii U so I won't be double dipping on any of those but portable ALttP is something I need in my life.
I still have to beat Bravely Default so I won't be getting Bravely Second quite yet either.
@boatie I agree, it's going to be hard to go back to Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons after playing Stardew Valley. Almost every staple of this series is improved upon in Stardew and the charm of the graphics/gameplay is something Harvest Moon hasn't achieved for years IMO.
It definitely feels weird jumping ship on one of my favourite series but I think it's time they upped the ante, seeing as one guy created a better game by himself (regardless if it took him 4 years).
If you're a HM/SoS fan and you haven't checked out Stardew, do yourself a favour and just get it.
A little disappointed about the lack of multiplayer, but I'm still very stoked for this game! I'm glad all the awesome video game genres that kind of got left behind in the 80s and 90s are coming back.
I'm a bit late to the party so I'm pretty much just going to agree with what most people are saying here. Like most people with a Wii U and 3DS, I buy most of my games in physical format. You can barely download more than a few games on either without an external HD/bigger SD card.
So no gold points for any of us? That's ridiculous. Maybe the NX will have a much bigger HD and the potential to hold an actual gamer's full collection digitally, but this rewards system has no place in this generation of Nintendo consoles. It's useless.
Definitely getting Yoshi's Story, haven't played it since I was a kid but I remember it was a lot of fun and the style was just so delightfully weird! I get it's not everybody's cup of tea but I think a few of you need to simmer down a little.
Also, I read somewhere that the SEGA 3D classics were all on sale but I haven't checked yet. Is that over already?
@TheRealThanos Oh, I agree completely. It definitely has a place in gaming but the ideas that people like this guy have just seem a bit too optimistic. I don't think we're going to see a retail Nintendo VR anytime in the near future. Plus, the idea of people walking around with these things on their faces gives me the creeps.
There are still far too many problems with VR for it to "take over the game industry" like so many people seem to think it's going to. Nobody in their right mind is going to sit around in public wearing one of these things on their face. It's ridiculous.
Good! I'm much more excited for this than I would've been for Pokemon Z but it seemed pretty clear there was a new generation coming when they announced Magiana.
And as far as the "surprise being ruined" goes... I'm even more excited about tomorrow's direct now that new games are confirmed (even if they were all but confirmed already).
I'll be getting Yellow at the very least, I'll probably get Blue too seeing as I have a cartridge of Red still. I'd like to get the other two cartridges but it's at least $20 to $30 each for Blue and Yellow so this is a much better value.
This looks pretty great but it just doesn't seem to capture the same magic of the original for some reason, couldn't say why.
On another note, DK64 is one of my all-time favourite games and this just reinforces my opinion that they need to do a sequel! Nintendo, buy back Rare, dang'it!
Love the new layout! I've been here for almost 10 years probably and I'm getting used to it very quickly, so good job!
Just wanted to say the site doesn't seem to center quite right for me. I use Firefox on an iMac and don't have my browser set to the width you guys likely have it designed for because when I stretch out my window to maximum width the main column is centered but the default size I have it as (about 4:3 aspect ratio) the main column appears to the left. Not a big deal though, just thought I'd point it out.
Yeah, lots of extra info over at Serebii including an actual picture, it's apparently a man-made Pokemon. It'll be in the Volcanion movie too but I haven't heard of this one being data-mined from the games so hopefully that means it's Gen VII.
I'll be buying this the second it comes to NA. I'm very interested to hear more details though. The 3 village thing could be interesting but I find too many things to do can be overwhelming in these games, mostly because I still play the old games a lot and am used to their charming simplicity. Renting the fields and competing with the other farmers to own them in the last one is an example of that, I really never even did any of it as it was just far too much for me, at least in the beginning of the game. Also too much competition in these games kills the relaxing vibe of it for me. I'm sure I'm in the minority here though, so I'll just hold my tongue and hope for the best!
Still no release date for NA... I mean I'm still working my way through the first one so it's alright by me... for now. It is coming to NA though, right?

@RennanNT I second this.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Favourite Legend of Zelda Games - 30th Anniversary Edition
Not bad, not bad. My list looks pretty similar:
5. Skyward Sword
4. Ocarina of Time
3. A Link to the Past
2. Majora's Mask
1. Wind Waker
The order changes from time to time and Twilight Princess may take Skyward Sword's spot every once in a while.
Also, that second guy to comment really needs to calm down. I take Zelda pretty seriously too but chill dude, it's just a fan-made list.
