Re: Talking Point: 20 Years Of The Best Game Boy Ever - How Did You Get Your GBA SP?

My dad actually found one in the parking lot of his work way back when they were brand new in 2003. He put it in the lost and found, and after it hadn't been claimed three weeks later he gave it to me. Unfortunately, whoever lost it didn't drop the charger too so I, as a jobless 13-year-old, didn't get to use it until a few years later when I could afford a replacement cable.

@patbacknitro18 Exactly! This is the thing that I think a lot of people don't seem to fully understand. I've seen people say they wouldn't mind waiting longer for the game, and I agree, but as much as we older fans don't like to admit, these games are primarily for kids and young teens and they are still going to sell like crazy because of that demographic. So if Gamefreak spent 2 or 3 more years on development (not to mention significantly more money) it probably wouldn't be worth it for them because the game wouldn't sell that much better anyway.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how much this "boycott" affects these games but I have a feeling these will sell just as well as previous Pokemon titles.

Why is there so much hate for Canada in here? We're used to being the brunt of the joke, so nothing new there but some of you seem to genuinely dislike us as a country...why? Is it because we're so decent and friendly? I don't get it.

@NEStalgia The internet thing probably depends on where you live in the country. I live in Ontario and I haven't had a data cap since about 2008 or so and speeds have been getting incredibly fast in the past decade as well. Now if you lived somewhere less populated like Saskatchewan it's probably a different story.

@NaviAndMii I agree with you completely. I get that these are just people's opinions but there should be some consistency across the website. You can't just hand out 10/10s to a game because it's Nintendo/Pokemon...there needs to be some objectivity. There's absolutely no way US/UM is anywhere near the same level of Skyrim, and I say this as a hardcore Pokemon fan.

@thesilverbrick I think you may be worrying for nothing, while this game may mean a wait for the Switch version, it definitely doesn't mean Nintendo aren't going to make one. This is an impressive AC game, but only because it's on mobile. Despite the author's impressions, I can say for a fact that this is nowhere near an actual AC game in scope or gameplay. I'm betting 90% of the actual fanbase won't be content with this as the future of the series, we need an actual mainline entry for the Switch and Nintendo knows this.
You really think Nintendo are just going to leave one of their most successful (recent) franchises off their popular, new system just because a mobile game does well? Are they not making new Pokemon and Fire Emblem and Mario games for Switch after the success of those mobile games?

Re: Some Retail Nintendo Switch Games Will Require You To Own A MicroSD Card

Seriously...what's the big deal? Every console does this these days. I have about 14 different PS4 games (all on disc) and I can only really play 5 or 6 of them at any given time because of the massive installs each game requires to run. Thankfully, they finally released an update recently (a few years after the console's release) so you can install your games on external storage. At least Nintendo had the sense to plan for that eventuality from the start because obviously it was going to happen.

Re: Final Fantasy XV Director Insists His Team Is "Looking Into" Switch

I still haven't beat the game on my PS4 yet. The story just didn't really pull me in, though I love basically everything else about the game. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is fun, it just lacks a solid story which IMO is paramount to the Final Fantasy series.

That said, if they released the actual game (not that weird pocket edition) on the Switch I would probably buy it again and give it another go.
