My dad actually found one in the parking lot of his work way back when they were brand new in 2003. He put it in the lost and found, and after it hadn't been claimed three weeks later he gave it to me. Unfortunately, whoever lost it didn't drop the charger too so I, as a jobless 13-year-old, didn't get to use it until a few years later when I could afford a replacement cable.
Been looking forward to this for a while, so I'm ecstatic that it's coming to Switch now. The pixel art in this game is honestly some of the best and most stylized I've ever seen, and I'll have to strive to have mine live up to it from now on.
@patbacknitro18 Exactly! This is the thing that I think a lot of people don't seem to fully understand. I've seen people say they wouldn't mind waiting longer for the game, and I agree, but as much as we older fans don't like to admit, these games are primarily for kids and young teens and they are still going to sell like crazy because of that demographic. So if Gamefreak spent 2 or 3 more years on development (not to mention significantly more money) it probably wouldn't be worth it for them because the game wouldn't sell that much better anyway.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how much this "boycott" affects these games but I have a feeling these will sell just as well as previous Pokemon titles.
Not usually a point-and-click fan, but the character designs/artwork are truly something special and are really tempting me to check it out. I'll keep an eye on it for sure.
@NEStalgia Well aware, I actually cover that song in a band I play in.
I'm not referring to the joke comments though, those were all pretty good. It's the few saying negative stuff that I'm talking about but I'm not really surprised, this site and its comment sections have been going the way of most other popular websites these days.
Why is there so much hate for Canada in here? We're used to being the brunt of the joke, so nothing new there but some of you seem to genuinely dislike us as a country...why? Is it because we're so decent and friendly? I don't get it.
@NEStalgia The internet thing probably depends on where you live in the country. I live in Ontario and I haven't had a data cap since about 2008 or so and speeds have been getting incredibly fast in the past decade as well. Now if you lived somewhere less populated like Saskatchewan it's probably a different story.
Aside from HG/SS this list is so, SO wrong. I get that it is somewhat subjective but like many people have pointed out already, the justifications for where you placed the games make ZERO sense.
I've never understood the appeal of e-sports but both of those tournaments were fantastic! The Splatoon finals and Smash finals both had me on the edge of my seat!
@link3710 My guess is that it would still transform into other Pokemon but remain a steel-type. Cool idea but would probably be far too OP. Who knows though?
I'm surprised this is the first I'm hearing of this game. I saw the screenshots before reading the article and was instantly reminded of HM/SoS. I'd love to see some gameplay first but I think I'll probably be getting this one regardless.
Still haven't beat it on PC (mostly due to how difficult the bosses are) but I will definitely get this on the Switch too, it's one I've been waiting for since the Switch came out. It just seems like the perfect fit for it.
Everyone freaking out...did you even read the article? Nintendo changed absolutely nothing. Yes, their program wasn't great in the first place but they literally did nothing here. This was all Youtube.
Extremely misleading/click-baity headline, NL. This place slowly seems to be going the way of all video game/media sites.
Easily one of the most gorgeous-looking games I've ever played, and it's freakin' pixel art! Gameplay is pretty fun too, definitely deserving of that score.
The HM games seem to be getting worse and worse, it's really quite sad. I remember hearing about this one but it completely fell off my radar...too bad it didn't stay there.
Looks like an interesting arcade beat-em-up and I really like the art style but the whole perma-death thing usually gets pretty frustrating in my experience.
Really liked a lot about Setsuna, so as long as this game improves on the few problems I had with it, I think this will end up being another great game from Tokyo RPG Factory. So bring on that NA demo!
@Dezzy Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain the DLC has been confirmed to be after the end of the game chronologically. I hear you though, I really wanted to explore pre-calamity Hyrule too.
@NaviAndMii I agree with you completely. I get that these are just people's opinions but there should be some consistency across the website. You can't just hand out 10/10s to a game because it's Nintendo/Pokemon...there needs to be some objectivity. There's absolutely no way US/UM is anywhere near the same level of Skyrim, and I say this as a hardcore Pokemon fan.
Absolutely gorgeous game. The amount of care and detail the artists put into every single map is just incredible. Also, it's a pretty fun game. I'm really tempted to get it again on Switch, but I'll try and hold out for the physical release.
@thesilverbrick I think you may be worrying for nothing, while this game may mean a wait for the Switch version, it definitely doesn't mean Nintendo aren't going to make one. This is an impressive AC game, but only because it's on mobile. Despite the author's impressions, I can say for a fact that this is nowhere near an actual AC game in scope or gameplay. I'm betting 90% of the actual fanbase won't be content with this as the future of the series, we need an actual mainline entry for the Switch and Nintendo knows this. You really think Nintendo are just going to leave one of their most successful (recent) franchises off their popular, new system just because a mobile game does well? Are they not making new Pokemon and Fire Emblem and Mario games for Switch after the success of those mobile games?
I'm gonna try and hold off on Mummy Demastered at least until after Mario, seeing as I also need to beat SWD2 and put a hundred or so more hours into Stardew. I just hope I have the will power to wait...
@SirRandall I was about to say that I was pretty sure it was Xbox exclusive, but looks like you've already corrected yourself. So I guess I'll just have to hope that Rainway makes it to the Switch, I won't hold my breath though.
Unfortunately, I really doubt this will get approved by Nintendo but I'd love to be proven wrong. After seeing this, I need to play Cuphead on Switch one way or another. I just bought it yesterday on PC and am seriously enjoying it!
That was incredible! I love all the old school live-action commercials Nintendo used to do, especially the Animal Crossing ones, so this makes me happy.
I still want to compare the remastered version for PS4, etc. to the Switch version before I decide which I'm going to buy. I'm thinking I'll take portability over graphics though, as recent remasters of other previous gen games aren't that much better IMO.
I've put more hours into this game than any other one, by far. So I'm really jealous of those that'll be playing it for the first time. That said, I'm probably not going to pick it up on Switch unless I find it on sale some point down the road, seeing as I already bought the SE for PS4 somewhat recently.
Seriously...what's the big deal? Every console does this these days. I have about 14 different PS4 games (all on disc) and I can only really play 5 or 6 of them at any given time because of the massive installs each game requires to run. Thankfully, they finally released an update recently (a few years after the console's release) so you can install your games on external storage. At least Nintendo had the sense to plan for that eventuality from the start because obviously it was going to happen.
I still haven't beat the game on my PS4 yet. The story just didn't really pull me in, though I love basically everything else about the game. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is fun, it just lacks a solid story which IMO is paramount to the Final Fantasy series.
That said, if they released the actual game (not that weird pocket edition) on the Switch I would probably buy it again and give it another go.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Considers "Nintendo Switch Pro" With NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor
Not yet. I know it's inevitable but I don't think they should release any upgrades for at least a few more years.

Re: Mamma Mia! Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 Brings The Gangster Style Back To Switch
