Re: Eiji Aonuma Confirms that Breath of the Wild Will Not Support a Japanese Dub Over English Subtitles

@G-Boy Fair enough. I definitely agree there should be dubs in more languages, I'm surprised there isn't a Swedish dub too.

I was more speaking about the people (who must be anime purists or something) that are boycotting the game because of the fact they can't choose the Japanese audio with English subtitles. Again, I'm disappointed too. I would've liked to play it with that option but it's honestly just not that big of a deal.

Look, I wanted the option to play with the Japanese audio too but some of you guys are taking this a bit too seriously. If listening to your own native language is that hard for you to bear (as in, that you won't play the game) I would question why you don't, or aren't already learning Japanese than instead of boycotting this masterpiece.

Hell, I'll sign the petition but I'm still going to play the game with or without the option and I'm not going to whine about it and let it stop me from enjoying this beautiful game.

Re: Princess Zelda is "Very Complex and Multi-Faceted" in Breath of the Wild, Aonuma Explains

Yeah... this whole thing makes me sick too, but please don't hate on feminists for this, any feminist would be well aware that crying isn't a sign of weakness at all; more just the sign of being, you know, a human with a diverse range of emotions.

I think even without context it's pretty clear that Zelda has gone through a lot by that scene and is properly displaying her emotions, not just crying to Link because she's a 'helpless, little girl.'

Re: Square Enix Confirms Nintendo Switch Release For I Am Setsuna

Great game if you like old-school, turn-based RPGs, though it's definitely not for everyone. It's a very dark and depressing game in terms of storyline, setting, soundtrack, etc. but if you're like me and don't get upset by that it really is a gem of a game, incredibly emotional, powerful and reminds me a lot of Chrono Trigger (the greatest game of all time!)

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?

business-scrub

Presentation was lacking tbh, and $399CDN is waaayyyy too much considering Zelda is the only launch title. Those two party games need to be bundled with the console but I got the impression they're going to be sold separately, so RIP those two games (I doubt anybody's going to buy them on their own at full price - whether that's $49 OR $79.)

Re: Pokémon Sun And Moon Data Files Show Removed Buddy System

business-scrub

Ah dang! I was so sure this system would be in the game when I saw how many Pokemon had overworld models in the demo, alas when the game came out the feature was nowhere to be seen. At least I was partially right, it does look like the feature was intended to be there.

Hoping the switch version has it, as useless as it is it's probably my favourite "mechanic" from any Pokemon game ever (part of the reason HGSS are still my favs.)

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Have Super Mario And Skyrim At Launch, Splatoon Coming As Pack-In

business-scrub

Ugh, the fact that they reinforced the Zelda rumour has me way too worried, I don't want it to be true. I've taken every delay fairly well so far, and have remained calm and patient but if they're going to delay it until summer I think I'm going to lose my cool.

Seriously Nintendo, stop giving dates if you can't meet them. Just shut your damn mouths until the game is 100% done and then give the release date. This is beyond ridiculous.

Re: Klonoa IP to be Turned Into an Animated Movie

business-scrub

Jeez, not sure why there's so much negativity here. This seems like a good idea to me, obviously the games haven't done well enough recently to warrant another one but a good, well-written animated movie might boost interest in it again enough to justify a new game.
Either way though, I've always liked Klonoa games and I think an anime is potentially a great place for the series to go next (provided it's done right.)

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf's Fall Update Will Handle The Weeding So You Don't Have To

business-scrub

Yeah, the weeds thing is great but I think there needs to be a better way to get villagers to move in/back to your village. THAT would get me playing again, I spent all this time getting my village just the way I want it, then I stop playing for a few weeks and all my favourite villagers left. THAT is what killed the game for me (and this was my second time restarting my village after this has happened before.)

Re: Gallery: Let This Awesome Nintendo NX Mock-Up Excite You

business-scrub

I really hope it's something like that first one, just a little more comfortable-looking. I guess I'm in the minority here but I really think the NX just needs to be a Wii U with a portable gamepad (obviously with updated hardware, etc.) I don't see the point in having two little detachable controllers...

Re: Guide: How To Evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon And Flareon In Pokémon GO

business-scrub

@Shugo I see a lot more people saying it works than people saying it doesn't, though. It's worked for me and my friends so far, so maybe it doesn't make it an 100% chance that they will evolve into that form, maybe it just raises the chances. Seeing as there's no confirmation either way, you're just as wrong in saying it's a hoax as the people claiming it's guaranteed to work.

Re: Hands On: How Will the "Open World" Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Suit a Traditional Gamer?

business-scrub

It depends for me, if it's really well made and I like the game world I don't mind sinking countless hours into sidequests and exploring but a lot of open world games are just too overwhelming with really no incentive to go further than the main story.
I'm pretty confident Nintendo is going to nail it with this one though, I'm already in love with the game world and we've only seen a fraction of it.

Re: Pokémon GO is Now Available in the US

business-scrub

@Jeronan I'm telling you that is clearly an article from a satirical news site.

"I don’t think he had any idea where he was at or that he was being stabbed."

I think getting stabbed is something you're going to notice. And if that wasn't a dead give-away, just look at some of the articles on the side: "ISIS taking responsibility for Pokemon Go server issues," or "Photos of dragon shot dead in house are going viral."

I agree that a lot of parents give their kids smartphones at unnecessarily young ages but I think most of them won't instantly throw caution to the wind with this one game. Parents will still look after their kids. The way you're talking and with the fake articles you're so eager to believe, it seems like you think kids are going to start dying like flies like this game is some sort of international epidemic.
