I agree completely, honestly having such a big backlog means people are buying more games then they have time to play. Doesn’t make much sense to complain about price increases when that’s the case.

People didn’t have an issue distinguishing the PS4 from the PS3 or any other PlayStation console.

How come questions like this don’t come for PlayStation or XBOX when they just release more powerful versions of the same thing?

Nintendo is just preparing for COD lobbies in the system.

This ignores the fact that they raised their prices from $60-$70 a few years ago. Plus they also have games riddled with micro transactions.

I find it kind of funny how people will complain about prices then go on about how big their backlog is. Like your already buying more games than you have time to play, that’s a much bigger problem than $10 more for a game.

Nintendo isn’t using game-key cards. It’s all third parties. Heck, when Assassins Creed gets to the system it will probably be a game key.

So are we going to get a Monster Hunter Wilds port? Or heck, I’d even take World!

The games not automatically gonna become good just because it’s on a Nintendo system.

Polygon has been a hated site for awhile now. I’m not cheering for layoffs, but its interesting to see the tone about this shift.

The appeal of Madden is playing with current players. Theirs only like 3 players total that haven’t retired from that game.

The pre order is $70, not $80, at least for digital.

Edit: so is the physical version, not sure where the $80 in the article came from.

I really don’t get why people care if other people buy games or not. It’s your decision and if you want to buy Mario Kart then great. If you don’t, that’s great as well. Just don’t judge other people for their choices.

Yeah it would be super immersive to jump off a mountain in TOTK and not take any damage at all…

Seriously, this is a horrible take. Limits are a good thing in games. Plus, most of the time there is an easy way to get out of taking fall damage.

To be fair 8 deluxe was more of a definitive edition rather than a new game.

Honestly TOTK is basically gonna be my launch game. Mario Kart isn’t that fun single player, or at least the other games haven’t been, so until Donkey Kong that’s all I have. Although I’m weirdly ok with it and really hyped.

I really don’t care about the price. It’s fine and about what I expected. The games on the other hand are what bothers me with pricing.

I honestly can’t tell much of a difference when using the pro controller compared to the PS5 controller. There are some exceptions, but most games really don’t take advantage of their adaptive triggers or whatever they are called.

They are all third party games, blame those companies for cheaping out.

That’s comparing apples to oranges. The reason the switch is more expensive is because it is a handheld. If Nintendo had made a home console like the series S then yeah, it’s likely a similar price.

I played the game on switch. Why is my experience void because you can’t accept any criticism of the console. It’s a fine game, perfectly playable. But I would pick any other platform if I was to play it again.

Switch is the system I played the port on. Yea, it was rough in the open world and even Sonic Generations was bad at points.

Hoping for a switch 2 upgrade at a cheaper price. Switch 1 version can be rough.

This is like one of those auto installed 3ds games you played for like 10 minutes and never touched again. There’s no world where this shouldn’t be free.

Honestly the system itself is about what I expected and I don’t have a problem with the price. $80 for Mario Kart is a rip off though and hopefully this isn’t a regular thing, although it will likely be.

People have been asking for digital games to be cheaper than physical for years now. Nintendo does that and it’s a bad thing? Pick a lane people

I’m so confused, Bug Fables has the exact same leveling system as TTYD.

I ain’t spending $300 on a Lego set, no matter how cool it is.

I’m gonna guess they didn’t do much with the backtracking if troubles were untouched.
