So does that mean that the games shouldn’t be patched to run at a constant frame rate? Your right that this state of release is not okay, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fixed.

Arkham Asylum looks good, although the frame drops during combat are concerning. Probably will be patched quickly though.
Arkham Knight looks extremely rough. It’s passable when you’re outside of the Batmobile, but it is nearly unplayable once you get in it. Graphics aren’t good, but solid for the switch. Hopefully the frame rate can be improved in a later patch.

Honestly going to wait for a sale on this one. Knight running so poorly makes this not worth $60, but I would pay $40 just for Asylum and City. Hopefully the games are available separate from each other.

While flawed, I do think TOTK should win the award.

Eh, it has a solid opening dungeon, but other than that you’re just mashing the roll button until you can find 45 rupees for the shield. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess have much better intros for story purposes, although on repeat playthroughs Ocarina’s shorter opening is nice.

You see, frame drops only matter if the game is on switch. Its just a special quirk on the PS5, gives the games character!

Bowsers Inside Story is one of the best games ever made.

So glad they put J Jonah Jamison in the game. Unfortunate they couldn’t get the GOAT to voice him though.

2 games that each have a good argument for GOTY in Wonder and TOTK. Plus Pikmin 4 has an argument as well. Plus a movie that makes over a billion.

And thats just the top tier stuff, Nintendo has had one heck of a year.

None, the games don't really work well in a movie format. Maybe in a mini series they would, but in a 2-3 hour movie it would be rushed. Just do something original.

That’s not what I’m talking about. The person I was responding to wanted the switch 2 to run games like TOTK at 120 fps in 4k. With the proof that it could be done affordable being Dead Cells running at 90 fps on the new Steam Deck.

But yes, Nintendos next system should be along the lines of at least the base Steam Deck in terms of power.

There is a large difference between running a game like Dead Cells at 90 fps and running a game like TOTK at 90 fps.

Same thing I did with my Wii when I got a Wii U. Toss the thing into storage.

Do you have any proof, not even the PS5 and Series X can hit 90 fps. I know the Steam Deck is supposed to be a portable computer, but 90 fps still seems like a bit of a pipe dream.

Nintendo does need to hit 60 with their new console though.

I'm sure Nintendo could do that, but a console that costs 1000$ and probably even more will sell worse than the Wii U.

Did anyone really believe that a handheld would be able to play games at 4k 60 fps? The PS5 doesn't have that for most games, a handheld would definetly not be able to unless it was way to expensive for most everyone in Nintendo's market.

That will happen when you have arguably your best year in terms of games and a movie that makes over 1 billion.

While I loved TOTK and have it near the top of my rankings, I think the series needs to tone down the open world aspects. Maybe a middle ground between the old linear style and the new open style.

But, sales wise, the open world formula has proved vastly superior to the old style.

132.46 million isn’t really that much, but 132.47 million would be absolutely wild. Might have to consider the Switch a success if it can reach that mark. Big if though.

Nintendo would be legendary if they reintroduced manuals for physical games.

Whew, don’t strain yourself Epic, rebranding old features as new is a bold and strenuous move.

Then don’t buy it, vote with your money. For me, and plenty of other people this is the only opportunity to play the game. And from that point of view it seems like a new game and not an old remaster.

It amazes me how people clamor for these old games to be remade yet always complain when it comes time to pay for said remakes.

Considering the majority of buyers will have never experienced the original, then I would say $60 is fair. It’s practically a new game for most.

It looks great from what I've seen. Looks similar to the Mario & Luigi games, so I'm excited to see where those games got their inspiration.
