I bought the bundle for 480 so the game is well worth it. MKWorld is something my family will play for the rest of the Switch 2's life cycle. It will be continuously updated, patched, will receive future DLCs, etc. so I might as well get it digitally.

Best thing about the TGA this year! I can't wait! Now we'll see if I'll get it on Switch 2 or PS5 (or PS6!).

So it's going to be free for those who have the programmable NFC amiibo gadgets? Amiibos at this point are just collectible figurines with bonus in-game unlocks. I don't even use them unless it unlocks permanent costumes.

Disappointed. Won't be getting until there's Splatoon or Metroid-like gyro aiming.

I want them all but I can live without. So I'll just get them when they're 33-50% off.

It's teased in the post credit credits scene of the first movie so I'm not really surprised. And the design is @Yosher -approved so it shouldn't be a concern. 😅

They crammed too many things in the first movie though with very little characters buildup or growth so I'm worried they will make the same mistake again on the sequel.

Galaxy is too soon imo it should be on the 4th movie. I wish the first movie is on "Mario Land" at first. Expand with the koopalings and more characters in the mushroom Kingdom on the second movie. Then with DK characters, Daisy, Wario Waluigi, Pauline, and more in the Mario World on the third movie with all the Mario Karting.

I've been lurking since 2013 under another account when I was deciding to go back again to console gaming. I've played G&W, FamiCom, MegaDrive, SNES, GameBoy, & PS1 during the 80s & 90s before going full PC in my college days.

I eventually got the Wii U on November 2013 over the then releasing PS4 thanks to infos from you NL and from your sister sites PS & PX. The gyro aiming (I'm bad with analog sticks), my first born old enough to hold a controller, and the Nintendo catalog were the deciding factors for me to get the Wii U. Here's to more years together! 😁

Great! There was a bug on my ARMS play activity since I sent one of my 2017 Switch console which had a blue screen for repairs. When I migrated to a new console, the "time played" remained 50+ hours and it has never changed since then. Glad to see the comprehensive stats in the new app.

Is Nintendo counting physical versions of Nintendo Switch 2 edition games (like BotW & TotK) as Switch 1 software sales then since "it contains Switch 1 game with upgrade pack" on every box?

Please don't. I'm already waiting for that Hyrule Switch Lite price to drop and get one. I don't need a reason to buy another Switch after that. Make it a Metroid themed Switch 2 instead. 😁

I'm with you. I didn't like MKWorld that much compared to how much I loved MK8 on the WiiU/Switch. I hope they'll add more contents soon. I wish they made the free roaming mode a bit more exciting like an adventure mode where there are giant bosses and its minions with HPs where you attack them with power ups and shells (coop with other players) and get loots after like costumes, skins or decals for your chars and vehicles. Kinda like a raid.

For Kirby Air Riders, I fully didn't expect that. I was like "what the heck, another racing game in less than 6 months!". As for the spinoff Splatoon Raiders, they need to get it out before Splatoon 4 comes out.

PS5 and XBSX came out after the successes of PS4 and XBOne while Switch 1 came out after the failures of the Wii U. I guess it was expected that PS5/XBSX have weak first years of exclusives while Switch 1 came out strong right out of the gate.

Switch 2 doesn't need it now in it's first year imo. Mario Kart World will carry it until another big 2nd half of 2026 exclusive or two (1 from Nintendo and 1 mainline Pokemon)

We don't know second half of 2026 yet. But i expect Nintendo to go full Switch 2 by 2027. I think we will see more remasters and Nintendo Switch 2 editions next year like Smash with updated graphics and probably new fighters. Then throw a few but big Switch 2 exclusives late next year to keep the momentum.

I think that's okay as they are still transitioning to the Switch 2. Nintendo should be ready with a barrage of Switch 2 exclusives when the PS6 starts looming by 2027-2028.

I said I'm gonna collect all Switch 2 pro controllers like I did on the Switch 1 pros, but I might cancel this one. I still ordered but will cancel 2 weeks before release if I won't change my mind by then.

It's simple really that I struggle to understand why you don't. Nathan Lockard is a big and passionate Nintendo fan who dreamt of working for Nintendo when he was a kid/teen. Probably making his own drawings.

Then he got to work/intern for the magazine, saw some very cool fan arts/mails. Instead of throwing it away as per company mandate (they can't keep them forever for storage/usefulness reasons), he kept them as his collection because he's a Nintendo fan like them.

Years more later, some successful artists or writers became prominent/successful (like Naomi judging by the write-up) and Nathan remembered the drawings he kept and he tried to return them to her. Then it had a ripple effect to him and started returning most of them to their respective owners. In return he received some some cool arts as well.

It's just an awesome and heartwarming story about Nintendo fans (especially for us from the 80s and the 90s) seeing them reconnect again some 30 or so years later by pieces of artworks.

I don't think they'll release a new AC game in the first 2 years of Switch 2. They'll be working for backwards compatibility and enhancements first then release some Switch 2 exclusives to keep the sales momentum. I expect Smash Bros Switch 2 edition next.

I think Nintendo will go full Switch 2 exclusives when PS6 releases some time in 2027 if the rumors are true.

This is the real question. Does the Switch 2 Edition contains the 3.0 update? How big it is and how much storage does it save you from getting the physical edition?

As for the DLC, I think it's the same as BotW Switch 2 edition where the DLC isn't included. But the AC:NH DLC expansion is free for those NSO (premium only iirc) subscribers.

Oooh.. I was hoping for a Metroid or Mario 40th -themed Switch 2 Pro controller. I didn't expect Resident Evil would be the first. I'll try to get them all like I did on all special edition Switch 1 pro controllers.

Sarah Bond and Xbox is just saying this because they're going multiplatform to maximize profits. We know Xbox is failing so I can understand their stance. Good for Sony I guess. But it's also good I get to play XBox exclusives from now on since I refuse to buy another console beyond Nintendo and Playstation or PC.

The media and content creators are just making a fuzz about it to trigger fanboys (who are easily manipulated) and generate clicks.

Yeah, I've noticed the negativity lately. Nintendo just need to release a white Switch 2 and a sequel to ARMS (please Nintendo) next year so he'll change his stance. 😅 He's cool btw and made some awesome ARMS arts/drawings in here back then.

I'll wait for Amazon or GameStop to discount these to 30, then I'll buy. I bought the TotK champions full price then GameStop and Amazon ended up discounting them a month later.

There's really no point on getting the ZA bundle for me. Get the Mario Kart World bundle instead as it more makes sense as digital. The game will be constantly updated down the line with balancing, more DLCs and new characters, and probably more tracks. And it's a game most people will probably play in the long run especially when friends or families come to visit.

I couldn't cancel my pre-order last week since Nintendo already processed it a week early. I'll just try to cancel the delivery from the courier instead.

New release at full or slightly discounted price? About 2-4 a year.

Heavily discounted games (digital or physical but new/sealed)? About 12 a year. I rarely buy used as the price difference is only about 10% where I live or I just couldn't trust the sellers.

I'll double dip if it's a good port. Just add gyro/mouse aiming controls please.

I got the MKW Switch 2 bundle for 485. So it's worth like 15 bucks. It's not that great, I still prefer MK8 Deluxe. Maybe they'll improve it down the line.

The sooner they focus on Switch 2, the better in the long run. I'm looking at you PS4 to PS5.

That said, they should do digital release, Game Key Card release(to keep the cost down or in line with digital), and limited edition full game on cart release so everybody is happy.

Nah, I'm not getting any Capcom-produced amiibos since those Japan-only release Monster Hunter ones. I'm not into Monster Hunter and I couldn't complete the collection anyway without importing or paying absurd eBay prices. I think I have everything else except Silver Mario.

This is one of those games that I'd prefer them to be Game Key Cards (or digital). Multiplayer games that keeps being tweaked, updated, and have tons of DLCs. They won't be the same by the time all updates and DLCs has been released. At least, I can re-sell or give them to someone later on.

Don't they return after a while when there's an event? It adds to the fun in participating. Putting them there permanently makes you ignore most of them in the long run when there's ton of them.
