I've read somewhere and some trusted Twitter posts that you can also lend DLCs. I'm not sure if it's separate virtual cards (DLC vs game) though as I didn't look further.

There's no more excuse for me not to buy Pokémon Violet for my kid. He's been asking for it since it was released. I told him it runs bad and I'm gonna get it only if it's half the price. 😅

So happy ARMS getting a free upgrade. I hope they re-release it on Switch 2 with all the expansion data on card just to give it another life. And throw in balancing updates please (aka nerf Dr. Coyle). I would buy it for the 3rd time.

Maybe you were playing with the same account which will close the game when it detects you're playing the same game & the same account on 2 Switch consoles.

How it worked:
1) Console set as secondary can only play with the account who purchased the game.

2) On console set as primary by the account who purchased the game; you play with another account.

We've been doing it since ARMS & Splatoon 2.

I know it's an exploit, it's not like piracy. I'm not mad just to be clear. I'm genuinely asking because we haven't able to play/try it yet. But that was my concern when Virtual cards were announced.

So now my kids can't play Splatoon 3 (or 2) together using my son's Switch Lite (who bought it on his account set in the console as secondary) and my daughter's Switch OLED (where son's account is set as primary)?

Probably just 9. 1 regular, all 7 limited editions (iirc), + an extra Splatoon 2 LE. No issues.

The Joy-Cons are 50-50 for me on stick drifts. My son's Z&S Switch Lite too which was shelved for 2 years because of stick drifts and was out of warranty. I don't wanna 80-100€ just for repairs. But I sent it to Nintendo Europe for repairs as soon as they started doing it for free 2 years ago. So it's nice I guess.

I never had stick drifts in any if my 10 Switch Pro controllers (mostly limited editions). But I'm glad they've improved the Switch 2 ProCons. I'll not be buying them though unless they're limited editions. I'll just use my Switch 1 ProCons until they release one (Metroid please).

Nice, I'll take it instead of a new Fast & Furious 20.

I get where Jester is coming from though. The Direct (if my memory serves me correctly) implied that the "red" Switch 2 carts won't work on Switch 1 systems. I assumed it won't simply read the cartridge. Then there was this Tweet about the notch differences which further confirms Switch 2 cards won't work (and won't fit) on Switch 1 consoles.

Never had a drift problems on my Switch Pro controllers. I have like 8 of them. The Joy-Cons though are very prone, even the Switch Lite sticks.

I've had too many broken joy-cons when I was playing ARMS (on handheld mode) obsessively back then. I wonder how the magnetic Joycons 2 would hold up. Will it break? Or the Switch 2 tablet will break? Though I'm not planning on "raging" anymore, I'm just wondering.

There's still gyro-aiming with the right joycon2?

Unrelated to the topic, but SF6 on a game key card makes sense to me. I would buy a CHEAPER Mario Kart World, Splatoon 4, etc on game key cartridges because these games will be constantly updated/balanced that their original "game on a cartridge" would be different in years to come.

What I don't support though are games like Suikoden & Bravely Default on game key cards. There may be updates/patches to fix some bugs on them but they'll be as playable as the devs intended them to be on their original release versions compared to their patched versions in the future.

I was planning on getting it physical on Switch 2 (alongside TotK) hoping it includes everything on cartridge, expansion/DLC included. Now I'm just gonna cancel both and stick to my Switch 1 versions.

These Game Key cartridges makes sense if game is constantly getting updated like Fortnite or MMO RPGs etc. I would buy a cheaper (50€) Splatoon 4, Mario Kart World, etc on a a game key cards as I know these games will be getting balancing updates, DLCs, and new features. They won't be the same later on compared to their release state.

Yes you can play NS2 controllers on NS1 games (on NS2 hardware), and vice versa. The only exceptions are you can't use NS1 controllers on NS2 games that utilizes mouse controls.

I didn't get an invite because we don't play much on our main family account that buys shared games. But my kids play a lot in their accounts, I also play on my US account. That's messed up on Nintendo's "anti-scalper" algorithm. At least I got to preorder on Amazon and on my local retailer. I might cancel though as I'm waiting for a Zelda or Metroid themed Switch 2.

This is my concern on DK Bananza as well. Maybe destroy -some would be okay, but destroy-all fun will wear off quickly.

If it's not on cart, then a Switch 1 cart with a key card for the upgrade pack would do.

If this is the case, then I'll have to cancel my Amazon France preorder (Zeldas, Jamboree, and even DK Bananza are only 60€, and 70€ for MKW).

It's great I think. As long as we can still play games on multiple accounts on our family account (set as primary console).

Great review. That's what I did when I played it on the Wii U back then. Played on foot and explored everything I can that the game would let me. Then I got my Skell and explored and completed everything again that the game would let me. And lastly I've explored everything when I got the flight module. It was an awesome feeling.

I wouldn't have enjoyed and appreciated Mira much if I got flight early on because exploration becomes easy and lazy by then.

I think I saw someone made a dancing figure out of his daily walking/running routine.

Glad I didn't double dipped on the Switch earlier. I think I bought 1 or 2 of these on the 3DS/WiiU. Now it's time to buy this release.

SMB3 is the best 2D Mario. That's a fact.

3D World is the best 2.5D Mario & multiplayer.

Also looking forward for a left joycon (for movements) + right joycon mouse (for aiming+firing ) combo on the Switch 2.

You can really play with the mouse + KB on the Switch like Metro, Crysis, Wolfenstein, DOOM etc? (I bought them but only played them a little bit because of the controls). I didn't know the Switch supports mouse. I'll look into it, thanks.

Then just don't use the mouse feature? I don't see it as the only option for most games. I've lost track of this thread so I'll just give my reply to yours.

For me, I don't play shooter games on consoles since the PS1. I'm bad at aiming with the sticks unless it's implemented like Splatoon with gyro. I've tried other 3rd party games on the Switch with gyro and I couldn't stand them longer. Maybe the mouse functionality or support on the Switch 2 will solve that. Also planning on getting extra joycons just to use for that functionality. Who knows, Nintendo will support PC mouse?

Also I don't see a problem having a small temporary table or surface (if you don't have one in your setup) to use the mouse functionality if you really want to use it. It's not like Nintendo should provide you everything for your convenience.

You'd buy that Super Soccer game? You and 2 other people? Get outta here. NSO is the best thing ever happened. I've bought my fair share of VC games on the WiiU/Wii and 3DS. I'm not paying 8€ or 10€ for each unless it's the best of the best games I really want. With NSO, we get to play or try games we didn't even consider looking if it was sold like VC individually.

Yeah because Nintendo or 3rd party accessory makers can't release a "dock" for the joycons which would make it more like a traditional mouse.

Pretty sure there will be a joycon "mouse dock".

This is on my 3DS backlog. Bring it to the Switch so I can add it as another backlog. 😂 I'll probably get it when its on 30-40€ range though. Not paying full price.

So it's 399€. I think that's okayish.
