The tactical RPG series Fire Emblem is returning early next year on the Switch with the new game Fire Emblem Engage.

In the lead-up to its release, Intelligent Systems and Nintendo have been slowly sharing more footage and information about the characters and gameplay in this new entry. The latest news drop focuses on the new monk character Framme - Clan's younger twin sister.

Here's the translation (via the Fire Emblem fan website Serenes Forest), including a look at her in battle:

"Framme (Sayaka Senbongi) is a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, protecting the Divine Dragon at the Land of Lythos. She’s Clan’s younger twin sister and more determined and lively compared to her brother."

And in case you missed it, here is a bit about the mage Clan, who was revealed last week. Serene Forest explains how the final name of this character hasn't been locked in just yet. 'Cramme' is this site's own translation:

"For the record, we don’t know what his English name is. In the Japanese version, his name is Kuran (Clan etc.). But considering his sister was renamed from Furan (Fran) to Framme, I tried to do something similar."

And here's the character's description:

"Clan (Kōhei Amasaki) is a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, protecting the Divine Dragon at the Land of Lythos, alongside Vander. He is Framme’s older twin brother and was by Alear’s side when they awoke. A gentle priest who serves–and is also a fan of–Alear."

These characters follow on from the reveal of a high-ranking knight/paladin named Vander and the game's protagonist Alear. Marth and Celica are returning, too. You can learn a bit more about these other characters in our previous coverage here on Nintendo Life:
