more skins for existing characters like the alternate variants from the Hardlight Mobile games & even stuff the different Egg Pawn variants from Sonic Heroes
more characters (duh) unless they already have it planned out in advance:
@Azami likely because of the partnership with PANDA Global at the time, as well as the general disgust surrounding competive Smash and EVO in general post-2020. (you know, the scandals that came out about abuse and the like) That's also in addition to Tournaments playing a game of tug o' war with Nintendo over the use of mods and emulators with Melee (AKA The Big House 2020 and SaveMelee)
Recently the GM of EVO has praised Nintendo's new licensing program, so maybe there's a sliver of a chance Ultimate might make a comeback in 2025.
I’m going to be shocked if it is indeed possible that Gotham Knights got optimized to heck and back on Switch.
@anoyonmus’s claims check out about this NOT being a cloud release. This might also contain all the DLC as well; because the same listing also states the following:
“In-Game Purchases (PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5)”
@Serpenterror I'm talking about in the context of it being a multi-platform release. (Oh, and the SEGA Genesis Classics collection has awful input lag)
TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine - Nintendo Switch Online for Expansion Pack subscribers
includes DLC for TETRIS 99, Luigi’s Mansion 3, PAC-MAN 99, and Splatoon 3
Game Boy | Game Boy Color - Nintendo Switch Online for Base NSO subscribers
Game Boy Advance - Nintendo Switch Online
for Base NSO subscribers
Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Switch Online for Expansion Pack subscribers
would leave a list of games: but that made this too long to be posted all at once; so I opted for a Twitlonger instead: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1ss5n23
Every Tech enthusiast and their grandma has been saying some form of “a Switch revision with more power for more demanding games will be coming Next Year” for the last 4 years and 100M+ units later. I’m telling you, we have 5 more years left, wether you like it or not; that’s the fact.
Tour Sydney Sprint, Tour New York Minute & N64 Kalamari Desert are the standouts to me in terms of how they utilized their layouts.
GBA Snow Land is a good track to bring back.
Mario Circuit 3 is OK.
Sky High Sundae is fine, at least it used Anti-Gravity.
Wii Mushroom Gorge does nothing new.
DS Waluigi Pinball not only breaks tradition of not reusing music from DS Wario Stadium, but fails to utilize anti-gravity to add to the chaos, thus is the worst of the bunch and is totally overrated.
If Nintendo REALLY wants to ride out the console’s lifetime, It have to be into Spring 2027; putting us at a full 10 years, lining up with the company’s goal of going beyond the usual 7 to 8 year shelf life, and might also make sense realistically in a world in the middle of a pandemic-induced, semi conductor and supply shortage.
Tried to protect a piece of pixel art based on SMG4.
(Also known as the guy running GLITCH Productions, the studio behind that fairly popular Murder Drones Pilot, but is most well known for, and is still making videos about the extremely meme-ridden adventures of an extremely stupid, cross-eyed Mario that REALLY LIKES Spaghetti)
Simply put; it was also a dripfeed, only it’s a dripfeed that is made up of multiple piecemeal purchases, back when third parties didn’t realize the profit that came from compilations and their own standalone eShop releases. Heck, you can thank SEGA for the $50 annual price for the Expansion Pack, considering they weren’t satisfied with their own investment in Virtual Console on Wii & 3DS.
Fundamentally speaking; I think NSO (Expansion Pack and all) is a overall better value, considering games like Banjo-Kazooie, Star Fox, and Stunt Race FX are all now available to a wider Nintendo audience. Not to mention there’s at least an effort to make these games more readily available.
I hardly got into Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, X, Y, Moon, Let’s Go Pikachu, Let’s Go Eevee, Sword & Shield because of RPGs in general with me.
Now it’s difficult to go into, and play Pokémon more than ever because fans constantly an aneurism because expectations for said game weren’t met when a new game is announced.
Even back then; I knew dexxit was overblown.
I insert a quote from Lockstin about “ Suck and Mega Suck” but I forget what is was exactly…
Karnov from Karnov. Yes, Karnov of Karnov’s Revenge. The same Karnov that appears in Bad Dudes’s 1st Stage. The same Karnov that cameos in many Data East games post 1987, & is owned by the former employees who later founded PAON, that later made DK Barrel Blast on Wii.
Karnov is for all intensive purposes; a deep cut pick. Which Smash needs more of.
I have a strong feeling it’s gonna be Hatsune Miku. Not only does @JonComms agree with me on that, but August 31st is the character’s 14th anniversary, and while not SEGA-owned, she’s treated like it. So why not make Miku run in a ball collecting spring onions?
Funny thing was, that I caved in last month and bought a Japanese digital copy, then it was updated later to include the extra games, signaling the game’s long overdue western release.
I think the pattern with Slayer, Crash, & Master Chief is that there’s momentum for them; developers say ‘we would be honored/like this to happen’, and NOTHING HAPPENS. I’ll wait until the next game (if there is one) before hyping them up again.
Many people were adamant on a playable Tails, but it was clear to me well before the article that Tails was this game’s response to Crash 4’s Modern Mode.
@Papichulo, Capcom already released the Mega Man games via the Legacy collections, Sonic & Bonk aren’t even on the SNES, Konami already released Castlevania Anniversary collection, and it’s only a matter of time before Square-Enix rereleases the older Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games in a overpriced manner.
It isn’t Nintendo’s memory that’s at fault. Blame that on licensing and license holders finding supposedly better offers.
@Ghost_of_Hasashi, Square Enix is likely to rerelease those RPGs themselves. Like how Capcom refused any Mega Man games on NSO in favor of the Legacy Collections, Konami with Castlevania, Bandai Namco with stuff like NES PAC-MAN even.
If Nintendo were to make acquisitions along those lines:
SEGASAMMY: Game Studios, SEGA TOYS, (Consolidated) Arcade & Leisure, Animation
(Prior Contributions to Nintendo: Mario & Sonic, F-Zero series)
BANDAI NAMCO: Game Studios, Bandai’s Toy division, and Namco’s arcade divisions, Animation, and Leasure
(Prior Contributions to Nintendo: Mario Kart series, Super Smash Bros. Series, Mario Baseball series, ARMS, Pokken Tournament, New Pokémon Snap)
KOEI TECMO: Animation
(Prior Contributions to Nintendo: Metroid Other M, Hyrule Warriors series, Fire Emblem Warriors, Pokémon Conquest Fire Emblem: Three Houses)

C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me.
Re: Some Of The "Original Developers" Are Working On Mario & Luigi: Brothership
It's kinda like Mario Party:
The team at Hudson later continued development at ND Cube.
(no derailing the discussion to argue about the radical departure from 8 to 9 onwards)
Or in Yooka-Laylee's case were a bunch of ex-Rare (mostly Banjo) staff left to form Playtonic.
The team at AlphaDream, later worked for Nintendo internally.

I feel like they should of done more with this, perhaps will see this added to an "Sonic Origins Ultimate" (hypothetically)

I kinda need to share this article by Seafoam Gaming about the death of the Virtual Console as we knew it

Nintendo Switch +.
