SNK has announced Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 is "coming soon". No platforms have been revealed just yet, but the Switch is in with a good chance after the first volume was released on the platform last year.
There's no word on the lineup of games this volume will include at the moment, but we're likely to see titles such as SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash. A datamine dating back to March also revealed potential Neo Geo Pocket Color games getting a release.
The original Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection included 10 titles - SNK Gals' Fighters, Samurai Shodown! 2, King of Fighters R-2, The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny, Fatal Fury First Contact, SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Metal Slug 2nd Mission, Dark Arms and Big Tournament Golf / Neo Turf Masters.
In somewhat related news, SNK yesterday shadow dropped a Switch port of the Neo Geo Pocket Color compilation, Mega Man Battle & Fighters.

If we get any updates, we'll let you know. What games would you like to see in the second collection? Comment below.

Cool beans, lookin forward to it!
I dunno how feasible it is, but put Sonic Pocket Adventure on!
I guess maybe I’m able to do some mental gymnastics to be alright with myself for buying products from some pretty big *****, but there’s no way I’m ever going to buy an SNK product again after the sale of the company to Jamal Khashoggi‘s murderer. It’s hardly worth it. Have fun though.
Pat your back if you saw this coming a mile away.
@VinylCreep This industry is full of sleazy elements and ties to underhanded if not outright criminal activity and THAT'S your breaking point? Weird hill to die on but at least you're dead
Is there any chance the recently-released Mega Man game could be in this collection? I was planning to pick it up, but if it ends up on this collection, I'd rather wait for it to get a physical release...
Finally! The first one was great, we need to see more!
@ReaperMelia I'd say it's almost a certainty that all NGPC games that have been released individually since the last collection came out, including the Mega Man game, will be included on this collection. That's how it worked last time, which was annoying because I had already shelled out for SNK Gals' Fighter without knowing a collection was coming.
@stereobread Got it, thanks for the heads up! I figured that would be the case, but I wasn't entirely sure. I'll just hold off for the physical release then.
Welcome, Volume 2. We've been expecting you
Yup. I knew it, you knew it, we all knew it was coming.
I'm excited!
I'll buy a physical copy of this one at any price!!
@VinylCreep if you're gonna hold yourself to that kind of standard, good luck getting around and doing anything. I certainly hope you aren't putting gas in your car, because that industry is paved with murder, lies, and corruption.
@CharlieGirl
I was actually kind of skeptical! The Wii/PS2 had a Neo Geo collection that never received a volume 2, which made me think maybe we wouldn’t get a volume 2. Happy to be wrong about this one.
We all did see that coming. Like the first time, it will include already released single titles plus some games exclusive to the collection, probably. I hope one of them is Sonic Pocket Adventure and another one, Cotton.
@Zebetite I’m sorry, the video game industry is tied to sleazy elements? Can you name me a video game publisher that’s murdered journalists before? What on earth are you even talking about? And yes, video game publishers murdering journalists is my breaking point where I don’t want to buy their product any more. Call me old fashioned I guess.
@duffmmann A, you need gas to traverse the planet, it’s the unbreakable system we live in. B, no one needs NEO Geo Pocket Color 2. Equating both of those together is beyond absurd.
@VinylCreep In SNK's defense, they didn't sell themsleves. The Saudi government bought most of their stock. The only thing SNK could have done to prevent that would be to buy back all their own shares, which they do not have the cash to do.
I'm not trying to fault you for being principled, I respect your decision here. I'm just saying the whole thing wasn't SNK's idea.
I knew it's coming but I doubt I'll get this second one, all the good games were already on the first collection anyways. If only they release a Game Boy collection of their games that would be sweet: games like KOF95, KOF: Heat of Battle, Samurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown 3, Fatal Fury 2, Real Bout Fatal Fury, World Heroes 2, etc.
@judaspete Wow, Saudi government choosing a random Japanese video game publisher seems like a very weird target for a hostile buyout.
So help me if Sonic The Hedgehog Pocket Adventure isn’t in thus one.
Repeating and editing my comment from the Mega Man game.
The Vol.1 had 10 games. Of those, 2 were exclusive to the compilation. The rest are also available individually except maybe the Metal Slug games, those are available as a 2-in-1 download after the collection came out.
The games in the first collection are these
-SNK Gals' Fighters
-Samurai Shodown! 2
-King of Fighters R-2
-The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny
-Fatal Fury: First Contact
-SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium
-Crush Roller (exclusive to the Steam Edition in place of SNK vs. Capcom)
-Metal Slug 1st Mission
-Metal Slug 2nd Mission
-Dark Arms: Beast Buster 1999 (exclusive to the collection)
-Big Tournament Golf (exclusive to the collection)
For Vol.2, we may see the other games that came out after the first collection.
-SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash
-Big Bang Pro Wrestling
-Biomotor Unitron
-Mega Man Battle & Fighters
-Crush Roller (available on the Vol.1 Steam Edition, pending to release on Switch)
The only thing I hope is that if they add Sonic Pocket Adventure, it's not exclusive to the collection. I want to buy it individually in case there's nothing else that interests me in the collection, just like with the first collection. In that one I only want SNK vs. Capcom, King Of Fighters R-2 and Fatal Fury: First Contact, maybe SNK Gals' Fighters.
@KingMike They own stock in most of the major publishers. SNK is small enough that they were able to grab 90% of the company's shares, but they also put about $3 billion into Activision, EA, and Take Two. The reason being Prince Salman likes video games, and knows he needs the country to diversify it's economy to things beyond oil.
YES! Held off on Card Fighters hoping for this. Can’t wait
Knew this was coming when they kept dropping all these NGPC games. Totally buying this.
I would totally be down if there was some volume exclusives in here (like the last volume)
Volume 2 is going to have Sonic I'll wager
Except for the titles already released stand alone on the Switch, I hope we'll see
Cotton
Sonic Pocket Adventure
Faselei
Crush Roller
Include those and we have everything we need!
That's the type of robot/mech type of games I want to see on the Switch! Megaman Battle and Fighters. I saw a few videos so I am going to play it. I hope more comes up like these. Of course I like customisations aswell.
Just checked the title list in MegaMan Battle Fighters data
Its game #26 and has game #27 of the NGPC collection listed as Puzzle Link 2. Probably the next game to be released.
Along with the others I shared in the rumor article. Falselei! has actually been removed. Maybe they couldn't get the rights to publish it?
