@Agriculture; we have third party engines like UE4, and Unity that when smartly optimized and scaled can make it possible, and with that; we can have developers smartly design games that will still look nice without pushing hardware and hardware manufacturers to constantly make said hardware obsolete. With all the indie games we had seen, that is the case worth making.
To @Xansies; remember the SEGA 32X, Atari Jaguar, and 3DO? There is a reason why you never hear about them, thanks in large part to a little game called ”Donkey Kong Country” for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a fun game with an impressive art-style using an impressive developer trick.
To both: It doesn't matter how the game looks or at times how the game runs, it matters as long as it’s fun, as long you can take it anywhere by itself, and then put it on a TV on a whim for a cheap price combined with an impressive library, that is what I feel like what Nintendo is going for instead of power and why they have the 9th Generation already in the bag. (I see the Switch as a 9th Gen system, no matter how old or how powerful it is)
I see a “Pro Model“ happening, like NEVER happening. The system (Lite or not) already has 15 million units in NA alone in the last 2 years, and devs are still putting high quality stuff on it regardless of how “underpowered” it is. Why just suddenly introduce a “roided-out” model that soon for the sake of a few select games? The New 3DS was just that, and how many exclusives for that showed up? In the end; if it were to happen; it would be a BAD business move.
Much like the Switch Lite was a Handheld-only variant: We will at best see a TV-only model that is marketed by size, and the games available, no power enhancements, just to be sold to further increase the size of the install base. (Yes, I watched that video on Spawn Wave)
I feel like Bandai Namco should just buy them up, acquire Ms. PAC-MAN as a whole, and either close their doors entirely ala EA, or lay-off staff and replace said staff with competent developers that are trustworthy.
(I’m not confident that will work, but that’s how irate I am about the whole mess)
Three more games I am keeping my eyes out for in 2020:
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MEGA MIX
Brain Age (tenative)
Space Invaders Invincible Collection
Three Games I want on Switch:
A large Midway Classic Arcade Collection (including CarnEvil, because why not?)
Rare Replay (Banjo & Kazooie are in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, that’s why)
A expansion of, or a larger Namco Museum (I need Ms. PAC-MAN, Galaxian, Xevious, Mappy, Rally-X, Pole Position, PAC-LAND, pretty much every game they ever included in a Namco Museum collection)
Direct Messaging on Online App with Notifications tied to your console and smartdevice
Game Store on Online App
Nintendo Switch Online special offer in a Joy-Con grip with a adjustable housing for a phone. (which would of been a better execution of ‘voice chat on phone’)
System-specific:
JUST Basic Color themes for FREE.
Hoping to never see on Switch:
Folders
Advanced themes featuring art.
Web Browser
Retiring online app for system-level online features period. (I’m being serious)

With Trainer animations being the most apparent as the game nears it’s final stages of development. Also keep in mind that these games (yes, PLURAL, there are two) had been severely overhyped well before reveal, thus leading to those lofty expectations, and the controversial backlash.
Makes me question why the NFL or FIFA associations, aren’t trying to cancel their contracts with EA? That, their faith (or lack their of) in Switch, and... Lootboxes.
There’s more to the NES library that isn’t just scrapping the bottom of the barrel: here’s a pool of literally 117 possible NES games for NSO, new games and obvious Virtual Console overlap, (yes Mega Man, Contra, and Castlevania, and SNK games already have collections, but I digress)

@Doktor-Mandrake, IF they do GCN, I think there won’t be as many games go everything else come to think of it. With the pace they been doing it, their trying to be careful with the ROMs they know are ready, and trying to make sure it’s a varied line-up. (depends on your definition of line-up) I think it’s a lot more of a process than people make it out to be than just “dumping ROMs people already can just boot up for nothing on a emulator”. I mean you need permission from third parties for select games (Why Goku or Shrek will never be in Smash Bros.), tweak the emulator and ROM to make them work properly, write a synopsis about said game, and search for a high-quality scan of the box art. Then it’s the already mentioned picking which games to pair up and add to the line-up, depending on variety, regional familiarity, and if there’s a NA/PAL version of the game. (hence why Joy Mecha Fight, Famicom Wars, or the original Fire Emblem wouldn’t make real sense for American and European non-diehard fans)
That is why I am not discontent, or impatient as everyone else begging for SNES, N64, and GCN.
I’m just gonna say it; there won’t be as many GCN games as N64 games when they come out, or as many N64 games than SNES games when they come out, and their won’t be as many SNES games than NES games when they come out. Look up how many units each system sold and compare them to each other and call me in the morning. I’m probably still looking forwards for more NES games. Still waiting for Atlus’ Rockin’ Kats, or Amagon.
For anyone in the dark about Vice: Project Doom; here’s Super Nicktendo’s non-nostalgia-biased review of the game, sorta of a hidden gem turned diamond in the rough I heard.
The one odd thing comparing leak to to be released product, is that the Switch logo and writing are mirrored from the actual unit. The unit’s existence is not worth to to me just because it seemed like a downgrade, sorta why I feel like people are burned as a result. If you ask me; I DO NOT think a “Pro” model with such drastic improvements is happening the next year, or at all.
I just realized that were believing news from unnamed Chinese companies in Honson and WinFuture about hardware that doesn't exist. If they were officially licensed I’d be convinced. Sorta like that Grinch Leak for Smash Ultimate: if it allegedly came from a printing company that was tied to Nintendo Tell PapGeno’s, I’d would of believed it, but since people were saying it came from a printing company tied to Bandai Namco, it was a dead ringer it was fake.
If Nintendo wanted to release a Portable-only Switch SKU we don’t need all new hardware, just don’t include the Dock, Joy-Con Grip, and HDMI cable and just include a carrying case at $249.99...
I think this alone is gonna bury any and all rumors of a Switch Mini/Switch Pro and prove that developers just need to be smart about the Hardware their working on rather than demanding more of it.
@Juma009, which aren’t NFC enabled toys, just toys, they just started the line with figures by ThinkGeek of GameStop of mostly PlayStation I.P. (Crash dosen’t count) to now they have the likes of Microsoft’s Joanna Dark, Conker, and Banjo-Kazooie characters, therefore discrediting them as PlayStation products.
SONY sees Microsoft, not seeing Microsoft publish games on Switch. Switch outnumbers PS4 in Japan, SONY says no big deal. Switch sells 34 million in three years, SONY says this is fine.

My gut says any US-based Nintendo Store after New York should be in the Spokane, Washington-area (Sp-Oh-Can). That’s simply due to it being the smallest known city to have an Apple Store.
2 possible store locations in Spokane itself:
1. River Park Square shopping area. Same place as the Apple Store.
2. NorthTown Mall: a mall located within the aforementioned Northern most area of town.
In terms of other areas near Spokane:
Hillyard WA: A small town currently gaining a boon in buisness.
Spokane Valley, WA: More so the Spokane Valley Mall, or somewhere in the Indiana Ave. area, an area with a lot of recent apartment installations, a large office building with space for sale/rent, and the recent opening of a Duluth Trading Company store.
Liberty Lake, WA: A Town as of late receiving a lot of urban renewal, ranging from the upcoming development of a new High School, Apartments, and a ton of additions in the Business Park area. Since 2001, it was mostly 2 large strip malls, and a living community.
(Although not in the Spokane Area:) Post Falls, ID: following the same deal as Liberty Lake and Hillyard, only difference being the distinct rarity that is illuminated street signs. (Shocking; I know)

Divide all 74 games out of no particular order by 3, and we have an estimated 2 years/24 months worth of content
All I can see hypothetically; is outside studios stepping up to the plate like Evening Star, or Sumo Digital getting closer to become more involved with mainline games, not borderline taking over development as some might hope. At this rate; Sonic will (as Bill Freiberger of Sonic Boom/Comedy Chimp puts it) have a brand identity akin to Batman, or in a semi-related sense to me; the Hatsune Miku-brand, with that fan-driven content, and the creators involved shaping its identity. Granted, it won’t go as many people want, as Sonic fans have each their own vision of how it SHOULD be:
Rehashing old games or sequels, just with a 2 or higher, or having “Remaster”/or “HD” in it’s title (Sonic Adventure 3 fans, I’m talking about you!)
Or as people would accuse Sonic Team of doing (or not doing); rehashing game styles, adding or rehashing gameplay styles and features, just to shoehorn them in to appeal to a niche audience(s).
Discord on Switch wouldn’t work simply due to the system’s inability to run a app in the background while running a game simultaneously, given how the OS was designed to be both minimalistic and as user-friendly as possible. I would say that it would be difficult to find apps that would be suitable for this feature and it would be taxing on the hardware, especially considering what the Switch is.
On the topic of Voice Chat in general; I think that as smartphones become more and more ubiquitous say; glasses, wallets and clothes, generally people will have that tech on hand. While the negative reaction to pay to play online has been somewhat overblown: Voice chat could be “better”, but maybe way worse:
People would feel cheated to now have to buy additional accessories (Earbuds/Headset of varying price and quality, extension cables, or the Pro Controller if it kept that headphone jack from development) on top of feeling cheated already for having to pay for that “pay-to-play” online.
Switching between TV and Handheld modes and having to set up, and dealing with a extension cable connected to the console. (Sorry to YouTubers and streamers like RGT’85, Wulff Den, or ReviewTechUSA, but not everyone wants to play their games on a desk only and have it connected to a monitor, mic, with external mixing software for this)
Chat Micro management, imagine playing something like say Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and managing chat on a user-per-user- basis, via the Quick Menu with no control over your character. Sorta like Fortnite and other Vivox-supported titles on paper.
“The idea of Nintendo doing proper voice chat before” makes no sense when you consider the DS having a built-in Microphone, Wii with the now useless Wii Speak peripheral, and the Wii U GamePad having a built-in microphone, and headsets for voice chat requiring to be plugged into the GamePad’s headphone jack. Chat also being supported for a small handful select titles.
@sanderev, yeah; imagine Splatoon 2 with a busy server error. Or a Lizard Squad-wannabe demanding Waluigi be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or no NSO period.

(Shocking; I know)
Re: Indie Developer Shares "Bad News" About Publishing On Switch, After Pitching His Game To Nintendo
It’s unanimous, AshBaker’s ‘SpikeBlade’ was not approved by Nintendo because the game is poorly-designed, poorly-coded, and poorly-made overall.

Re: Rumour: Shigeru Miyamoto Will Be On-Stage During Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference
I had a feeling that rumor was bogus, but I watched it because my uncle works at Xbox.

from ARK Survival to PixARK, Snail Games is stagnate.
Re: New Banjo-Kazooie Merch Fuels Fresh Speculation Over A Series Revival
I don’t think this is alluding to a new game: just a controller stand.
Re: Discord App For Switch Would 'Need Nintendo's Blessing'
@Rhaoulos, Discord is exactly the same as Nintendo’s chat solution, it just doesn't integrate with the games themselves.
Re: Takashi Iizuka Believes The Blue Blur Has "Turned A Corner" Following The Release Of Sonic Mania
Re: Discord App For Switch Would 'Need Nintendo's Blessing'
Re: Reminder: You Can Now Play As Joker In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
@sanderev, yeah; imagine Splatoon 2 with a busy server error. Or a Lizard Squad-wannabe demanding Waluigi be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or no NSO period.
