@Saad_Moonwalker The frame drops aren't that bad as Digital Foundry proved and a game of TotK scale and size it was never going to be a rock solid 30fps especially on the Switch's hardware.
Is anyone really that shocked? It was one of the most hyped games in gaming history, got perfect reviews and is an incredible game so of course it was selling very well.
I mean the very first trailer had this opening so i was expecting it would open like this going in. Its a great opening though and nicely sets the tone, threat level and stakes.
Other then one or two and the latest one i have all of these in card form that i bought off Amazon. Honestly it feels like cheating getting really good weapons and stuff from the drops, cool getting the classic outfits though.
@Nintendo4Sonic Again stating an opinion like its a fact. Your not fussed with the game so everyone who loves it as a fanboy is basically what you're saying.
For me the first big moment that made me go wow was exploring my first caves and then later The Depths. The first sky jump was awesome but due to marketing focusing heavy on that it lacked the amazement factor.
@Desrever Hateno is amazing in TotK, i won't reveal anything but i've spent most of the day there doing quests, visiting old haughts and seeing all the new stuff added to it.
Don't really have a plan. I'm certainly not focusing on the story though for a while, i've got as far as getting the Paraglider and now i'm just exploring, doing side quests and seeing what i come across. This isn't a game i plan on rushing and like BotW i expect i will be playing this for years even after the credits roll.
@Cashews I was also concerned going in but having put about 7-8 hours into the game already my concerns are gone. It has its limits as i said and you will still be climbing a lot, out of the new abbilties its actually the one i've used less.
@Cashews Well there's a clear height limit in place meaning if the thing you want to go through is too high you can't use it, the puzzle then becomes how can i place stuff below it in a way that gets me at the right height to use it.
@andisart Except when it boils down to it if a reviewer thinks the new Zelda game is a 6/10 to them then its 6/10 to them. Critics opinions are just as random as yours or mine its just unlike you or me they pursued a career in it and should have the skills to put together a well written review unlike the average person on MC. Roger Ebert had takes that went against the grain so should we ignore his opinion because he dared to not share the opinion of everyone else? A pro critic just does it as their chosen profession and have built the up skills to explain their views in a way that should provide more value then the average joe.
@andisart No reviews are opinions from those that reviewed said content. Its 2023 and its amazing people still need this explaining. You're never going to get an objective review because it goes against the idea of what a review and critic are.
@sketchturner A review is a subjective opinion and nothing else. If they weren't fussed with the game then they're well within their right to score it a 6 if they feel that.
@BinaryMessiah The issue is low framerates and low resolutions look terrible on newer TV's like how playing the PS2 on a 1080p screen looks worse then then a SD one. I rarely play my Switch docked since getting a 4K screen as it looks pretty bad on it, in fact TotK will be the first time in months i've played the Switch docked.
Really got to give Nintendo credit for what they have achieved with this and actually having it not fall apart. Just watched SkillUp's review and damn i'm excited even more then i was.
@Ara You should watch Digital Foundry's video on this as they were very impressed and says the 30fps holds up most of the time providing you download the day 1 patch.
@SpoonySpoons If you're into the show you should like or love the game as it captures the feeling of battling the Titans perfectly. I will say its quite repetitive despite the sheer volume of content but overall i really liked the game and think its one of the better Anime based games out there.
@Cheez Dude most big films have 100's of reviews so chances are there will be outliers that have a very weird take. The vast majority are not like that though. I mean come on its like saying this Strawberry field is bad because they are known for really bad Strawberries and then using the only 3 bad ones you found out of the 100's of them as evidence. Yeah RT and Metacritic typically have 2 or 3 reviews that either have a weird take or go against the grain, Star Wars is getting rave reviews today by pretty much everyone but i'm sure there's that one site or Youtuber that rips it apart for dumb reasons because yeah sh#t happens.

What a f**king joke, GF and TPC are beyond incompetent.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
An easy 10/10, easily on par with BotW at the very least.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Update Now Live (Version 1.1.1), Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@Nintendo4Sonic I love it when people voice their opinion but do it like they're stating a fact, i feel it speaks volumes about them as a person.
