@Madao DC and Marvel are real films plus if you aren't watching the likes of Bullettrain, Top Gun, Avatar, The Meal, Smile, Everything Everywhere and such then that's your problem. End of the day once the comic book movie phase ends Hollywood will move on to the next big thing something they have been doing since forever, once upon time it was endless westerns then endless Star Wars knock offs then endless slashes and so on.

Re: Hogwarts Legacy Magics Up July Release Date On Switch, Launches After Other Versions

@calbeau I'm saying just because one game was ported "well" doesn't mean another will, i find the whole "it can run Doom and The Witcher 3" argument stupid as it ignores so much stuff. The fact the PS4 version has seen a delay suggests its rough what doesn't bode well for the Switch.

As for NMS well it was reacted pretty negatively by Digital Foundry and they largely contradicted NL review with evidence. Its not a good port and its very much a case of just because HG could doesn't mean they should have.

@calbeau No Man's Sky is not good on Switch and i've stopped playing that version because of how lackluster the port has proving to be. Its missing key features, the downgraded graphics are too much of a hit, the framerate is rough and its even missing smaller things as well.

All that said comparing NMS to Hogwarts is stupid as its different games and engines. I expect Hogwarts will be a mess on Switch and last gen consoles considering the delays and how it appears to been made for current gen first and last gen second.

Re: Soapbox: How To Improve Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Open World

WallyWest

@Astral-Grain Fine sure but S&V have a mostly seamless world, 90% of the world be explored without a loading screen, in fact its more open then Skyrim going by your facts so 🤷‍♂️

I don't deny the game is behind in a lot of areas (hell its behind Legends in some ways) but giving us a seamless world is not something they're behind in. They promised us an open world and we got one even if it could be much better.

Re: Soapbox: How To Improve Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Open World

@Astral-Grain In ES nearly all major city or town place is hidden behind a loading screen, yes sure smaller town areas aren't but anything of a noticeable size isn't part of the main open world, in fact pretty every cave is also behind a loading screen as well even smaller ones.

I wasn't comparing PM to AC i was showing not every open world has a jump button, the Arkham games don't either nor does the recent Gotham Knights or the semi open God of War Ragnarok.

Re: Soapbox: How To Improve Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Open World

@Astral-Grain Seamless towns are in S/V and um nearly every town/city in Elder Scrolls is locked behind a loading screen, you have played ES right? Jumping isn't important, Assassin's Creed also restricts jumping and that's what S/V does it restricts it as you can still jump its just limited to your rideable Legendary.

Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Enjoy The Second Biggest Franchise Launch Of All Time

WallyWest

The performance is dire and there's no downplaying that but that aside it does a lot right and see's many improvements to the series.

Fun thing i was round my Uncles place this weekend and my 10 year old cousin was playing Scarlet and he did not care or even notice the problems. Its easy for us to complain but the core audience just want to catch Pokemon and don't even know what a framerate is.

Re: Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Receives Team Battle Mode Update, Available Now

@Fizza I have nearly 400 hours logged in and i haven't spent a penny on it, the game is extremely generous despite being F2P. First time players are giving enough currency to make any deck they want as well.

As for being a good starting point? Hard to say, if you know the basics that helps and the game does have a solo mode what is basically a big tutorial on various things and decks. The main meat though is playing online with others and if you're new it can be rough for a while. All that said its F2P so no harm trying it.
