Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles

VR32X

@DwaynesGames Oh absolutely, along with Wario Land SML3… those were my first two Gameboy games as a kid. I found the release schedule with GB bizarre, like SML1 coming after SML2, and the DKL games coming before DK94… I’d love to see Mole Mania too.

I just mention Zoda’s Revenge because we’ve had the NES app FOREVER and it was one of my favorite carts back in the day. Like, they should have dropped it YEARS ago alongside the first Startropics. It just baffles me. So anywhere I get the chance I’m the Zoda’s Revenge guy online. I’m starting to think whoever is in charge of adding games to it doesn’t even know what it is or that its a 1st party Nintendo game.

On that note we need the other Lolo games as well, including the GB one.

Re: Turok 3: Shadow Of Oblivion Remaster Announced For Switch

VR32X

After having a blast on Quake 2, my love for deathmatches was rekindled. I checked the online on Turok 2. It was dead. And they never added split screen functionality. I never got to play Turok 3. I’ll definitely pick it up.

Speaking of dead. Doom 2016, Eternal, and Duke Nukem all have dead online play on the Switch. Unless theres this magic happy hour I don’t know about. I know games go dead, however, I’m surprised these reputable titles are. I figured they’d have stronger followings.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Color, SNES & NES Library With Four More Titles

I tried Mystery Tower with an open mind, and while I might have given this game a better try if I rented it when I was 4 in the late 80s / early 90s… its just not what I want to play. Where are games like Zoda’s Revenge, ‘92 Recca and The Mysterious Murasame Castle? Theres some deep cut gems left that I played regularly on 3DS and Wii U. I’d also love to see games like Whomp Em and Conquest of the Crystal Palace. But anyway. There were some really cool games I used to rent a lot as a kid…

Kirby’s Tilt N Tumble and Harvest Moon were nice surprises on the other systems though.

EDIT: Oh yeah and of course Blaster Master is great. I may try Mystery Tower again when I’m not super tired. Others seem to love it.

@Bobb Funny you say that, I swear the last Wii U update is what broke my Wii U. It was fine until I updated it. And it was well cared for and never hacked, and periodically played every couple of months. It now starts up and freezes every time I’m in the game menu. I can’t even get to the settings fast enough to reset the system. Haven’t been able to try Voltar’s solution yet. But I found it very, very odd. Right before the eShop closed at that…

“Just like the Smash Bros. amiibo, this Link amiibo will give you a second chance to get Epona — and you can actually register two at the stable this time, as well. Otherwise, it's the same assortment of weapons and fruit.”

I’ve totally had multiple Eponas in BOTW at my stable though. Speaking of which, I was pleasantly surprised all my horses from the first game were waiting on me!

Re: Acclaimed TMNT Graphic Novel 'The Last Ronin' Is Getting A Video Game

VR32X

It does need to be a hyper realistic, serious, intense game. If its more like Arkham City it would work well in my opinion. It would make an excellent live action movie as well. If you’ve read Last Ronin, its nothing like the Turtles media we’ve been fed over the years. Making it like the old games or movies would probably not work. Though don’t get me wrong, I love Shredder’s Revenge and most of the old games and movies.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 16.0.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Speaking of updates. I brought my Wii U to college today to play some older stuff with my friends between classes. Since I heard they die if not played often. Plus, I was gonna round up a few last eShop games. It was working fine, then I went to check for an update and updated it… now its not fine. It freezes a few seconds after every boot up now. I can’t even get to the system settings fast enough to try to reformat the thing. I’m now in the dead Wii U club. I’ll call that an instability update.

Now I’ll be nervous about every Switch update.

Re: Best Of 2022: How's Your Switch Holding Up After 5 Years?

VR32X

I upgraded to an OLED earlier this year and I love it. It feels so much sturdier. My launch Switch actually came in the mail with cracked air vents on top and got continually worse, I had keep armor on it. I ended up giving it to a friend after the transfer.
