Re: Lots Of Resident Evil And Devil May Cry Games Are Discounted On Switch Right Now

VR32X

I grabbed RE4 on this sale a few days ago, finally. I’d rather take this version over the new VR version. Just wished it had motion controls. Even though most of my time spent on this game was the PS2 version years ago. Kinda surprised Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen isn’t on sale again. Its a great Halloween game, in my opinion. Especially Bitterblack Isle.

Re: Review: Castlevania Advance Collection - Utterly Essential Thanks To Aria Of Sorrow

VR32X

I love all these games equally. Aria is the smoothest, yes, but the hours I’ve sank into all three of these on GBA and Wii U are countless. I don’t put any of them down once I start. Though Rondo of Blood surpasses SNES Dracula X. I still revisit it often. I wished they added Castlevania Legends (SGB) and the GB version of Kid Dracula to this. They’re small but enjoyable games that were missed on the first Castlevania collection. It would have made sense to bump it up to 6 games here... thankfully I own those carts and a working SP.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Yesterday's Nintendo Direct?

VR32X

I just wanted to apologize for my comment on another thread last night, about this Nintendo Direct. My anger was lukewarm and misdirected. It should actually be ablaze, and focused on the true injustice we all turned a blind eye to. Virtual Boy and Sega 32X titles were omitted. If I am to pay extra for NSO, I want Virtual Boy Wario Land, and Knuckles Chaotix. We deserve a Virtual Boy controller. We have been spoiled with twin stick gaming for years now. But nobody understands twin d-pads. The wild and crazy things I would do with an extra d-pad. Please understand.

Re: Nintendo 64 And Sega Genesis Expansion Pack Announced For Switch Online, Launches This October

VR32X

This raises more complaints from me than anything else. Thankfully my Wii U is hooked up and working, and I own Genesis and Konami collections already. They kinda left us hanging in a lot of ways on the NES and SNES services. Now they want more money. Will that extra money cure the lag at least? Or will we get more forget-me-nots a year later? Rescued from the bottom of Blockbuster’s rental clearance bin... Mr. Playdough’s Rehab 64 Adventure. In the corner Zoda’s Revenge still weeps.

I hope some find humor in my frustrations. I’ll blindly pay Nintendo probably... hope Starfox 64 works okay online. Since they’re playing patty-cake with Rare to get us Banjo,-Kazooie, I really wanna see Killer Instinct now.

I had my hopes up for Gameboy and the Super Mario Land trilogy. I’m very sad about that.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Will Expand Its Switch Online Service With Game Boy And Game Boy Color Titles

VR32X

Half excited, if true. Considering how they aren’t adding the greatest games anymore to NES or SNES. Leaving out easy choices like Zoda’s Revenge or the Lolo sequels. For a light example. I feel like Gameboy will be the same song and dance. But. Maybe we’ll get lucky and get to play stuff like Mole Mania. Hoping it has a strong launch if it does happen, and we don’t have to wait terribly long for Wario Land and Kirby’s Dreamland 2...

Re: The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Has Been Forced To Shut Down

VR32X

Thank goodness Nintendo squashed those naughty fans that were making something for fun and sharing it for free. I’d have lost sleep if some wannabe fan game destroyed the legacy of Metroid and caused Dread and Prime 4 to get shelved. Nobody would have bought those games anyway with that little fan project online to play instead. People would have traded their Switches in for that new Steam Deck, and only played fan games on it. Nintendo would go out of business.

Not. Get real Nintendo. I’m sure glad Sonic got to enjoy seeing a ZZ Top cover band. I would hate to see guys that grew their beards that impressively get sent a C&D.

Re: Video: Remembering The Super Game Boy For SNES

VR32X

My biggest complaint, and I wrote it in every survey during the 3DS era, was there was no Super Gameboy options on the GB Virtual Console. I loved being able to play stuff like Donkey Kong 94, Mega Man V, and Kirby’s Dreamland 2 on my 3DS, but I hated that they were without the SGB features. Sometimes it was more than a splash of color. Some screens were beautiful, or had added sound effects, and even different levels having various color schemes made a big difference and made those excellent games even more immersive. I was a SNES kid, and when I got the Super Gameboy with the guide that gave game hints and codes for certain colors on games, I was blown away. I played Link’s Awakening like that, among other classics. My dad finally played Super Mario Land 2 and Metroid 2 with me, because he hated the original Gameboy and its tiny LCD screen. If we ever get Gameboy on Switch, I really hope they bring these options back. Or at least the Gameboy Color options. Anything. It kinda drove me nuts seeing just one SGB option of color on the Konami Collections for stuff like Castlevania Adventure. Or the Final Fantasy Legend Collection not having any options. Once you start coloring your Gameboy games yourself, you can’t go back.

Re: Mini Review: Arcade Archives VENDETTA - Konami's Finest Belt-Scrolling Brawler? You'd Better Believe It

VR32X

I’d love to play this, but I want the more complete Japanese version. If I gotta drop $8, I want it all, like many ACA games usually offer. I loved the first Crime Fighters and all of its rough edges. I’m a rough edge, old school kind of guy. Games like this make me wanna crank up songs like Bloodstreets by Riot. The huggable bikers in the first Crime Fighters were annoying, but they were there, some old developer worked hard on them, and I beat them up just like everybody else. Heres to hoping it gets an update, I would love to add it to my big ACA collection!

Re: Zelda & Loftwing amiibo Impacted By "Unforeseen Shipping Delays" In America

VR32X

I had it preordered on Amazon and it said it hasn’t shipped yet. Guess that explains it. Good thing is, I didn’t need it before on the Wii version. Probably won’t make a big difference now. I was able to finally order the joycon yesterday, that’ll be late too. I currently can’t pick the paid off game up because somehow my wife and I were hit with Covid-19. And I’m quarantined. My birthday is July 30, looks like I may end up having to actually wait until closer to my birthday to enjoy any of this.

I’m hanging in there ok. Just missing lots of work. First few nights were the scariest. May the way of the hero lead to the Triforce. You all be careful.

Re: Feature: Monster Hunter Rise Director Talks RE Engine On Switch

VR32X

I understand they’ve worked extremely hard on this game, and I’ve put about 200 hours into it, beating every available quest. I’ve cleared a lot of the side stuff too. Its been fun. The lack of actual content is a drag though, compared to other Monster Hunters... I have zero motivation to buy any of the cosmetic DLC they’ve released. All the packs combined are expensive, and I’d really rather have had more quests and variable monster types. All of this stuff should just be in the game already, and slaying a Malfestio or Purple Ludroth to get it would be more welcome. Thats just my opinion... but I’m just a long time hunter since the PSP and Wii U days. I just give Capcom money and deal with it I suppose.

Re: The Metroid Dread Special Edition Set Is Looking A Bit Tasty

VR32X

You know. I checked GameStop and Amazon after the presentation, and this stuff wasn’t live yet. I go to work, where I have to drive and can’t play on my phone, and I work a big fat 12 hour shift. I clock out and check my phone. Yep. Sure enough. This nice, special edition and the amiibo are sold out. Metroid Dread, alright. Lol. If its anything like Samus Returns, it’ll be a masterpiece!

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Receives Its Second Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

VR32X

Can physical owners finally get the Lucky Ladle? Kinda still want it even though I finished every mission and unlocked everything. Theres really not much to bring me back to this other than the DLC. I’m hoping its good. Online multiplayer would have really added replay-ability to this title, considering it would have even ran well.

I did enjoy the game and hope the DLC is worth it.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #85 - Dragon Quest

VR32X

Everyone is biased to the Toriyama artwork, and I don’t blame them. However, I loved that North American box art as a kid. I wished it was a t-shirt. It was very 80’s and captured my imagination. I thought I was playing a big boy game with my dad.

Re: Talking Point: amiibo Have Always Been Physical DLC, Skyward Sword HD Is No Different

VR32X

I was lucky and had a friend clue me in on a preorder opening on Amazon, yesterday. Prior to that I was upset it even existed and that I missed my window. So, I have it ordered. Its mainly for keeping my Zelda amiibo collection complete. However, I think its really overpriced. The new feature is something as simple as an in-game item that could have been added in. I hope I worded that correctly, my grammar isn’t the best at work... I think its the worst amiibo functionality for a Zelda game, yet. I’m more curious to see how it works on future and existing Zelda titles. Aside from Skyward Sword. I can’t believe I’m still collecting these things. I have a drawer full of random amiibo that aren’t even useful anymore. I wished they’d either stop being produced or actually do more worthwhile things in these games.
