Re: Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise Has Now Sold Six Million Copies Worldwide

VR32X

Could do with some golden eggs. But thank you, Capcom. Gonna be negative for a second... I loved paying for all the amiibo, getting the more expensive deluxe edition which didn’t add that much, finally getting the overpriced pro controller, and beating the final hub boss... seeing the game unfinished... only to have to wait for an update, and see that there is now a second $30 DLC pack. A fine mix of capitalism and arrogance, Capcom.

Those on the fence, don’t mind this old hunter. The game is fun and very well made. My wallet is just crying.

Re: Tough Blow As Sonic Lost World Yoshi's Island DLC Gets Modded, No Longer 'Wii U Exclusive'

VR32X

I 100% Lost World on Wii U, and there were some things left I guess I could have done. It would have involved lots of grinding, if I can remember what it was. I loved the Sega Saturn level, and had the Zelda and Yoshi level too. I hated not being able to go back and rewatch cutscenes, or not have more than one file. Its now annoying to start up on Wii U because it keeps trying to use the Miiverse feature. It was a good game. Should come to Switch for $20 with a few improvements.

Re: It Looks Like Labo Is Being Put To Rest As Nintendo Takes Down The Website

VR32X

@Pokester99 You completely misunderstood my comment. I invest my money just fine, and I play all kinds of games. Not just stuff for adults. PSVR has stuff like Moss and Astro Bot. Which is what I enjoyed most from it. Also in my comment I mentioned how much I enjoyed the Super Scope as a kid. Which was on SNES with Yoshi’s Safari. The cardboard gun was a huge step down in quality. So it makes sense the Labo stuff didn’t hold up.

Re: It Looks Like Labo Is Being Put To Rest As Nintendo Takes Down The Website

VR32X

Not gonna lie. Once I got to try PSVR on my PS4 Pro, I gave my Labo VR to a coworker’s kid. We need a real VR device from Nintendo. I also wasn’t crazy about stuff being made from cardboard and rubber bands. I kinda want my Nintendo peripherals to be made sturdier. It just wasn’t as cool as the Super Scope I had when I was little.

Re: Feature: The Exquisite Liminality Of Zelda: Skyward Sword

VR32X

@Lanmanna I am. Thank you. During that game’s release, I was getting medically discharged from the USAF, and had my heart broken several times over. That game was an escape and I 100% it. I’m now a civilian, married, with two jobs. I hope this game feels like the first time and I can make new memories with it.

Re: Random: Nintendo Has Uploaded Its Switch Online Trailer (Again), And It's Still Getting Disliked

VR32X

Some Gameboy and Zoda’s Revenge would be a small request from me, in contrast to everybody wanting Earthbound, Mario RPG and N64. Which would be nice too. I bought my friend a year of NSO, and we checked out some of the SNES games with multiplayer... not the first party ones. Just to give them all a chance with an open mind. We were not impressed. We are both in our mid 30s. Nintendo really does need to do better.

Re: New 4K Switch Model Could Launch For $399, Analysts Suggest

VR32X

Just wait and see. I’ll believe it if I hear it from Nintendo. Until then its all bench racing. If I see a Monster Hunter edition Switch this Friday, I’m probably buying it. I’ll actually be mad if they release an upgraded version a few months later. All this Switch Pro talk just makes me wanna hold on to my launch console, and I don’t wanna miss out on a cool edition over rumors.

Re: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Was The Best-Selling Game Of February (US)

VR32X

Its a great package! I’m actually glad I wasn’t stubborn because I played the Wii U version. Also. Nobody answered these questions for me. So I found them out on my own.

Luigi Bros. is still in the game. So its technically three games on the cartridge!
Using the Cat Mario or Cat Peach amiibo will not remove the sparkles from the stars on your save file.

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?

VR32X

Also. I do somewhat agree with the writer. I needed time to read the rest of the article while at work. I think Nintendo has done well giving us new things like Splatoon and Arms. Xenoblade and Daemon X Machina (not all developed by Nintendo but exclusive to Nintendo) are more my style. I know Chibi Robo and Pikmin probably doesn’t do as well as they’d like. They do try to give us new ideas sometimes, but they aren’t well received. A lot of stuff during the 3DS and Wii U era, I did try to give a chance. I personally would love to see Nintendo try to reach the more serious, mature audience. Do their own spin on games like Metal Gear, Ghost, Witcher, or Dark Souls. Like, a hardcore, new Mysterious Murasame’s Castle game.

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?

VR32X

We get a good balance I think. Looking back, you had one good Zelda, one good Metroid, a couple of good Mario games on the SNES. Then side stuff and great 3rd party. We’ve actually got quite a bit of fresh games on Switch that offer a lot of gameplay and replay value. I still gotta finish Xenoblade 2, and I have loose ends on Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. I think what ports or remakes we’ve gotten are welcome. I actually get overwhelmed. As bad as I want Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, I would have to make room for it. I think its good balance that we’re getting Skyward Sword HD to hold us over until Breath of The Wild 2. Honestly, a few more Wii games wouldn’t hurt... like WARIO LAND!!!

Re: Feature: Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link Taught Me The Value Of Perseverance

VR32X

This was one of my first NES games I’d spend hours playing with my dad’s help. It really captured my imagination as a child, and it’s style and difficulty kept me returning throughout my life. No matter how many superior Zelda games are released and rereleased, I can revisit Adventure of Link and still have a fantastic time. I would love to see a remake, as long as they don’t take away its magic. It’s darkness, mystique and edge. Its one of the heaviest Zelda stories. Ganon’s underlings wanting revenge, to sprinkle Link’s blood over his ashes to resurrect him. The bosses are terrifying and difficult. You eventually face the horrible Thunderbird, and stare into your own shadow with barely an inch of your life left. Nothing about this game is cute and Disneyish like later Zeldas. I adore it.

Re: Random: Nintendo Has A Problem With Its Switch Joy-Con, And We're Not Talking About Drift

VR32X

Was anybody able to get a preorder on the Zelda joy-con? I heard lots of people were having trouble. I wanna get them, but I’ll be afraid to use them. Lol. New joy-cons mailed to me from Nintendo last year over drift... are now starting to drift. And I try to keep them nice and only use them on occasion. And yes. Thats too much red. The only red you need is Virtual Boy red.

EDIT: Never mind. I saw the preorders aren’t even open yet. I think the same for the Monster Hunter Rise controller as well.
