I’m just going to wish both fellow humans good luck in the next steps of their lives. Can we all go without mentioning anything about corporate greed and politics and that kind of crap for 5 minutes?

@FishLipFace I definitely felt the same way. I was (and still am) hoping for more depth in Mario’s character, but I guess not having much character is kind of his thing. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to see him grow more

@Toastmaster It was a kids movie and a bunch of fanservice for the nerds. As a movie, yeah it kind of sucked. As a time-killer, it’s perfect

@Kamen-S Given that 1) this is a sequel and 2) it’s based off the galaxy games, I don’t see why it won’t have more depth to it. At least, that’s what I’m hoping to be the case

@Anti-Matter that’s just how anniversary celebrations roll. They can’t have ‘em forever or else they’re gonna have problems for future celebrations (like Zelda, which is next year)

This would have been fantastic as a mini console. Really bummed that it isn’t that.

Let’s see…you need an expansion pack for NSO, which is $50. Then you need to buy an accessory in order to even use it. And you have to shove your head into the thing in order to play the games, which are only displayed in red and black and appear in stereoscopic 3d, which means you’ll almost definitely get headaches after playing this for 30 minutes…I’ll pass. Also it’s the virtual boy. And while I do agree that having to buy an accessory in order to even access the vb library is borderline outrageous, I will admit that that’s probably the best way to experience these games, since without it they seem pretty boring. Still stupid that you need a subscription with an expansion pack, though.

From what I can tell, this looks to have more worth than BOTW’s dlc, which was one of the few instances I regret a purchase (though that may have been influenced by the fact that I literally just beat the base game but still had to wait for pay day to get TOTK)

@PharoneTheGnome what timeline do you live in??? They charge $6 for each smash bros dlc character pack (compared to $5-$7 in the Wii U/3DS days)

Nothing but good memories (except the times when I’d die, which happened most of the time). Here’s to many more years of platforming perfection with our mustachioed maestro!

This is unrelated, but…can we please get Tekken 8 on switch 2, namco? I’d buy it day 1!

I don’t know about day 1, but definitely as soon as possible. I think $70 is completely fair for these two. I loved the first game and am itching to play the second for the first time

Edit: upon playing closer attention, it seems that this is more so patenting the way that Pokemon has you summon assistants. In that case, that’s still kind of dumb, but not horrible
