@TheExile285 While it absolutely could be better, we do have to consider the fact that this is the first year of the Switch 2 being on the market - do they really want to focus on reselling a bunch of games for previous-gen hardware that can already be played on this fancy new console instead of making new installments specifically made for the Switch 2 that will do a much better job of showcasing it’s features? Of course, they should definitely ensure that games that struggled to run well on Switch 1 get updated to work better with the new hardware, but that should definitely be saved for later once it’s crystal clear that the Switch 2 is, in fact, a much more capable console than people think.

Ok, sure, it’s a PC and not a console…but I just don’t see how you can brush past the price with this yet completely dismiss the switch 2 solely due to its price (which isn’t even that bad).

@OmnitronVariant I think you’re comparing the wrong games. For the most part, first party Switch 1 games look and run great (although the later games definitely struggle in the frame rate department due to cramming in too much). It’s the multiplatform games where the difference is extremely noticeable.

@BrazillianCara The entire point of these is to get attention. Easy to do that when you leak anything before the game releases.

@FishLipFace I definitely felt the same way. I was (and still am) hoping for more depth in Mario’s character, but I guess not having much character is kind of his thing. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to see him grow more

This would have been fantastic as a mini console. Really bummed that it isn’t that.

Let’s see…you need an expansion pack for NSO, which is $50. Then you need to buy an accessory in order to even use it. And you have to shove your head into the thing in order to play the games, which are only displayed in red and black and appear in stereoscopic 3d, which means you’ll almost definitely get headaches after playing this for 30 minutes…I’ll pass. Also it’s the virtual boy. And while I do agree that having to buy an accessory in order to even access the vb library is borderline outrageous, I will admit that that’s probably the best way to experience these games, since without it they seem pretty boring. Still stupid that you need a subscription with an expansion pack, though.

From what I can tell, this looks to have more worth than BOTW’s dlc, which was one of the few instances I regret a purchase (though that may have been influenced by the fact that I literally just beat the base game but still had to wait for pay day to get TOTK)

@PharoneTheGnome what timeline do you live in??? They charge $6 for each smash bros dlc character pack (compared to $5-$7 in the Wii U/3DS days)
