Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Milla Jovovich Shares New On-Set Photo To Reassure "Worried" Fans

Snow-Dust

Honestly, I don’t care they are adding in their own thing like an army using rifles etc. I honestly can’t imagine a monster hunter film working in the first place, you just can’t translate the Armor and weapons and still look good on the silver screen, it will either look like bad cosplay or it has to be full CG like the transformers autobots or Pacific Rims’ Jaegers.

I mean what I’m saying is either way, this monster hunter movie is going to be bad, I prefer they do their own thing and so I can watch it as a movie that is not Monster Hunter but with the name Monster Hunter than a Movie that tries to be Monster Hunter but fail as Monster Hunter.

Re: Tokyo's Unofficial Mario Kart Service Continues To Dress Up Riders After Nintendo Wins Lawsuit

@Tsusasi That’s all well and good but it’s quite clear MariCar quite clearly isn’t changing its business model and quite clearly did not negotiate with Nintendo to use their IP again without their permission. They could’ve went without Mario costume and try to struck some kind of deal beforehand. I for one would not trust a company like that.

Also it isn’t really the legal risk but rather it is the commercial risk that is the problem. You said just make the customers sign a contract but while the customers know it is not affiliated with Nintendo, what about the locals who hates this thing? They aren’t going to know or want to know that this isn’t affiliated with Nintendo. What about local news reporters who would most likely see the chaos it causes and not the contract you speak of, this is especially the case if some news reach international level.

It also doesn’t help when the company calls itself Maricar or Mari Mobility Company which make it looks like it’s affiliated with Mario as it chops the “O” out.

“Do you think the Huawei Mate20 X will become a serious competitor in the portable gaming market”

Come on NL... you guys wrote this article knowing that they have zero chance in competing against Nintendo. Forget about that exorbitant price, the device will probably only have casual mobile games that are on App Store/Android which will never be able to compete against the Switch plays console games and have their rich IP to support it.

@Tsusasi you say Nintendo is greedy for not letting others use their IP to make money but have you thought that the actual greedy one is the company using Nintendo’s IP without their permission to make money?

Think of it this hypothetical scenario. You made your own game and it becomes successful but one day, you found out another person is using your characters, your creation without your permission to make a profit which you get none of even though they borrowed your idea. What’s worst, whatever bad business practices they are doing (let’s say it’s a restaurant they are using underpayed child labour), puts a negative image on you because people only see these characters are your creation and so that must mean you endorse child labour for having such business running.

Nintendo is usually Draconic with their control but It’s really not that hard to see that Nintendo is easily in the right for this one.

Re: Random: As The Pokémon Anime Hits 1000 Episodes, One Thing Is Clear: Ash Sucks At Pokémon

Snow-Dust

@MegaVel91 just watch him in every season when he fights a ghost type for the first time in that season, he would always use a normal type move for god know reason. There was the dusklop episode that I remember and also another in X and Y episodes but I quit because the “running gags” are so bad and cringeworthy like that blonde hair kid and his stupid technology with stupid name and that it never work, or how about Ash is the rudest person I’ve ever witnessed like how he barged into the champions room without knocking on the door, has it ever cross his mind that it’s rude to barge into someone’s room like that? Or maybe the fact she may be changing or doing something private? And what about the time the female protagonist made some food (I think they are buns or something) and ash just took one without letting her finish explaining nor did he asked or even showed appreciation and then followed up that it is actually super spicy. Overall, Ash really makes the show not enjoyable.

Oh and his stupid Pokémon training is just beyond stupid, trying to teach Treeko how to use bullet seed and that loser ate watermelons to do it, there was something about corkfish as well with the waves, or how he wants to be stupid with Froakie’s ninja training and what is his purpose of holding the log like an idiot in Hawlucha aerial ace or something. Just stay out because you are hindering their training you piece of useless turd.

Thinking about the anime just gets me super angry because the series can be good if it wasn’t for Ash who needs to use a tackle on every ghost type in every new region. I don’t care he doesn’t use tackle anymore, fact still stands he uses some kind of normal type move and then we have Brock or whoever the unfortunate soul is that is following him to point out his stupidity that normal type moves don’t work on ghost types.

Re: Random: As The Pokémon Anime Hits 1000 Episodes, One Thing Is Clear: Ash Sucks At Pokémon

Ash throughout the anime has become a rude and egotistical donkey but no one calls him out for it But instead, thinks he’s so chivalrous and Brave is what really pisses me off. Other notable things that piss me off is Ash always tell pikachgu to use normal type moves like tackle instead of thunderbolt or irontail like he always do whenever he fights a ghost type Pokémon or how he always feel the need to act cute by “participating” in the training with his Pokémon in the most stupidest ways or how his level 100 pikachu always lose to a lv5 starter Pokémon in each region.

Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Is Finally Officially, But Switch Is Left Out In The Cold

Snow-Dust

@YummyHappyPills I think it all depends on Crash Bandicoot sales. If crash trilogy makes humongous sales compared to the Xbox/PS4 counterparts, I can see Activision making a port of Spyro no matter what.

Nintendo is the go-to console when it comes to platformers and these old gaming mascot so it’s pretty bonkers for Spyro to not come out for Switch (even though Spyro originated from PS1)

Re: Video: We Feel these Top Ten Characters Deserve to Be in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch

Snow-Dust

I really don’t like potential move set as an argument for a character get into smash. Don’t get me wrong, I personally would love more characters to make it in with different moveset but it’s shown time and time and again that Sakurai doesn’t care about it. For example.

Toon Link could’ve used different items over regular Link like Bombchus, deku leaf and deku nuts
Lucas could’ve had different PK moves and not just different properties
Captain Ganon could actually use moves in Zelda
Lucina didn’t have to be a carbon copy of Marth with different hitbox damage
Dr Mario is a Mario clone without Fludd
Dark Pit who is Sakurai’s baby got the clone

Now let’s look at the new comers of Smash 4

Little Max has a counter
Greninja has a Counter
Bayonetta has a Counter
Corrin has a Counter
Shulk has a Counter
Lucina has a Counter
Dark Pit has a Counter (for projectiles)
Miis has a Counter
Ryu has a Counter/superarmor thing
Villager has a counter
Rosalina has a Counter/Black hole thing
Palutena has 2 counters
Dark Pit has a Counter
Dr Mario has a counter
Megaman almost have a Counter thing in the form of leaf shield

That’s a lot of new characters with a block/Counter move.

This is why I don’t like the “potential moveset” argument, clearly Sakurai doesn’t care about it.

Sees Illumination as the ones who makes the movie

My interest have went from hyped to not care. Other than Despicable Me (and even that have dipped in quality thanks to once funny minions that are now at the levels of Rabbids with their over-saturation), they really don’t know how to make movies since it looks like they are more focused on creating the next big seller of merchandises over a good movie. If only Dreamworks are the ones making it, it seems like they are the only ones who know how to make a good animated movie AND follow up with an even better sequel (Disney’s sequels are trash).

Re: Reggie on Backing Up Your Saves with the Switch

Snow-Dust

I think the problem is syncing when there is internet service, what happens when the person walks out of range? Does it dispose the incomplete data and leave the old one intact? Does it corrupt your previous data?

How is it going to upload the data before then? Overwrite your old data? Upload first and then delete the old data? That seems a bit room inefficient.

You can’t continue your upload of save files when you reconnect at another since you probably played it and it requires rewriting.

SD card Is better but then it poses the question of what if some people sold their dock away already and thus, will not be able to use an SD card USB to connect to the dock.

Overall, I can see the complication BUT this shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place as they’ve dealt with it before with Wii and 3DS.
