Re: Hands On: Squashing Space Pirates in Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Snow-Dust

@MamaLuigi I dont think so, a lot of 3DS games have proven with more realistic graphics and it works, Prime Hunters were realistic and it worked. It mostly depends on the texture res and the polygonal count but if they kept the res around the same then there shouldnt be too much problem as most polygon count are usually on the head, followed up by the hands (those fingers) but they are wearing helmets so definitely not much will be taken from that department.

I think it's just Nintendo being lazy or cheap and dont want to invest too much on making higher poly count geometry (model)

Being a huge metroid fan, im going to give this a try and Prime FF. I can see why Nintendo has made the game and Im going to support them because Metroid as a series really need to evolve. Im surprised Nintendo didnt drop the franchise long time ago as most of the titles barely breaks the 1mil point outside the first game and the first Prime.

In the end Nintendo needs to make profits and if Metroid was handled by any other Publisher, the series wouldve been dead long time ago. This franchise needs to evolve much like Fire Emblem did but Nintendo has been doing it wrong, that's all. Instead of going with the chibi graphics, they shouldve atleast made it look more like Ironfall for the 3DS where the graphics are more realistic.

Although I would think Prime FF wouldve been better if they just tried to copy Monster Hunter's gameplay instead and play as Space Pirates to fight big monsters and use their hides and skins to make armor instead of the Kingdom Heart's 3/something days like system with limited resource

Re: Here's What Darkrai Looks Like In Pokkén Tournament

Snow-Dust

@ASonic3582 Hey, logic wise, your process of elimination does make sense but that's about it. The other 5 starters can bring so much more to the table

Blastoise - Who doesnt want to re-enact Charizard vs Blastoise from Gen 1 Red vs Green/Blue (depending on being dub or sub anime)

Feraligatr - Gen 2 dont get much love at all and that's it

Swampert - Sceptile and Blaziken is in already, you might as well put Swampert in who is the most badass. Who doesnt love a mudkip? (Screw Brock for having the mudkip)

Samurott - A samurai otter thing? point is, he can have moves that are inspired by kendo or iaido

Greninja - A ninja gameplay, why not but I can see he would be similar to Gengar in a way

and then we got Empolean who is just a giant penguin and honestly, I cant see him having any type of gameplay except for being the tank who can cop a lot of hits which Feraligatr's frame suits just as well.

Btw, Gen 4 has some pretty big representations already, Lucario and now Darkrai

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Scoops Major Best of Show Award from E3

@Dislikesfats I must say the game looks like it'll be the best one yet. The physics and environment interaction is what made me felt hyped (it's weird, I know), just seeing the boulder roll to crush some bokoblins or the land catching on fire made me super excited.

I really think this will be the best Zelda game or will be held at the very top with OOT and ALTTP. What do you think about this game? Too mainstream? Or will it be cool because it's going back to it's roots

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Scoops Major Best of Show Award from E3

Snow-Dust

@Anti-Matter it is pathetic but for me, I like when creators create a fantasy of their imaginary. It was supposed to be for them to express their imaginary world but it slowly just turned into "hey, I gotz boobiez, guns, blood and a hell lot of swearing. I'm so edgey aren't I?"

I don't care if that's the imagination of the creator (like metal gear solid, resident evil before what it turned into now, silent hill 1 and 2 etc) but it really seems like developers lost that aspect and just want to create the next "cool" game

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Scoops Major Best of Show Award from E3

Snow-Dust

@Dislikesfats Well Zelda was getting more linear and smaller (world size) as each new iteration comes out and most of all, from optional motion control (Twilight Princess if you get GCN or Wii version) to forcing you to use motion controls (Skyward Sword).

As mainstreamgaming has it, classic controls with an open world sandbox and Zelda has finally become that. But if you ask me, wanting to be mainstream means you just want to be a sheep. There is nothing wrong wanting Zelda to take this direction if it's logical or you like that direction (Zelda was the big open world action adventure on NES), but wanting it just for the sake of being mainstream is sad

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@VanillaLake I'm honored for your views upon me
Well yea, Zelda SS is the worst compared to all the 3D and maybe even 2D other than four sword stuffs and PH and ST

It seems like the passion against Zero is real. I must play 64 to be in the loop.

For me, King Of Red Lions > Fi > Tatl > Navi > Midna. But I like her for her dance

It's expected he lied, he hates stories

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@Utena-mobile
Midna: uh-huhuhuhu, hey stupid, heehehe, am I beautiful? hahaha, idiot go this way, hohohoohoh I'm going to repeat that thing that person just said, in case you weren't paying attention and just smashing A!!! HIHIHIHIHIHIHI

Midna annoys me so much that it breaks my immersion and she was so ugly (in both forms) that it set my wii on fire just trying to load her ugly face on screen. Fi atleast is trying to be that AI guide and I think she achieved it brilliantly.

But you are right my friend, the best is Navi

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@VanillaLake Oof, that was one long vid. I cant really relate to most of the point since this is my first starfox entry but I see what he means in general about that Zero amounts to nothing and how Miyamoto lied about the story (lol)

I cant say Zelda SS is the worst Zelda because there are many things to consider
1. Zelda II is the worst if we are not including the CDi games
2. SS has by far one of the best stories
3. Lanayru's mine was an awesome dungeon
4. I like Fi (time to hold up the Flame Shield) in fact, I think Midna is annoying as hell

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@Manjushri Means opinions my friend
I will try to see the bright side to the game (someday in the far off future) but right now it is just too frustrating to play.

Well Miyamoto has expressed many times that he hates RPG and Earthbound was the only RPG he ever got into. Evolved into something equivalent to a demon spawn. Changing it to another Platformer with RPG element and then into a story-less RPG isnt exactly what you want...

Series should evolve but in a slow and gradual step, not one giant leap as these often causes more miss than hits. Look at Zelda II and Starfox Adventure. Games needs to evolve slowly so it doesnt overwhelm the player in one go

@VanillaLake Or turning Animal Crossing into a Scam Festival

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@Manjushri I walked in with the open mind ever and the game blew me away with it's awful controls. Miyamoto really have a special way of thinking, "I hate RPG and so everyone must hate it too O.o"

@VanillaLake So true, this is why I'm really hoping Zelda BOTW will make them realize that hard work pays off because other than Zelda, Xenoblade X is their most hardware limit pushing software they have and thank god Miyamoto didnt go near that game or else he will botch the story

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Thinks You Should Give Star Fox Zero Another Try

Snow-Dust

@Anti-Matter I hope it will be like the Sims games so I can drown Slippy...

@Seacliff Miyamoto "Dont worry! you can assimilate playing as Captain Falcon in the Blue Falcon when you play Smash bros and use his final smash! now please play Starfox Zero pretty please?"

@Megas75 That game is a master piece. I prefer W101 over Bayonetta (it was solid too) due to how rewarding it can really be if you master the controls compared to Bayo
