Had to vote The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood as its the only one I finished. I bought Vampire Survivors but haven't played it yet. Started Sea of Stars but got salty cause I sucked at it, but I will pick it back up at some point.
Well that's me getting shredded. I always said if there was a Miku fitness/dancing game that'd be the thing to actually make me move, despite hating exercise .
@Indielink You are quite right, I think I just got too frustrated to see that at the time, kinda embarassing really. My partner had a go and was like DAFUQ is wrong with you, why don't you love this game? I think I just got brick walled by my own head, I'll give it another try in a few days or so.
Ughh I was really enjoying it, but this one fight where a certain mob keeps summoning more and more things and my characters just don't hit very hard, even with perfect timing and the easy mode relic on. It's not even a boss fight and I just can't do it, guess I just need to git gud but when you can't retry straight away because of archaic save point design it's so grating. Games can be challenging without being unfair, I've not long beat Fuga: Melodies of steel and that was the perfect example of that, I'm gutted I bought this instead of Fuga 2.
This isn't a game you play for pinpoint accuracy, there are plenty of games out there for that, it's just supposed to be a good time, and it absolutely is.
Never got into this one, loved the original.
Pokemon is done with spin-off games for consoles, the mobile games make so much more money with minimal effort.
@JohnnyMind Very true, being too niche would have doomed it to fail, nah I've not heard of that one, I got into rhythm games on Switch so I know I've missed out on some gems!
Just googled the tracklist because I didn't know, there are some 'popular songs' on there that I like actually, but let's be real, i will just be playing Escape from the city on loop, I'm not even a Sonic fan, but that song is childhood xD
@JohnnyMind I'm the exact same, ring fit felt like a chore to play as good as my intentions were, It sounds like you will like this one too! I can tell you that my arms hurt a bit today so it works haha it won't be as good as ring fit for fitness/weight loss but its a hellava lot better than sitting down, and it doesn't feel like work at all
Only problem is I don't think the song list will be my taste but I'm hoping because it's Sega, we'll get some Hatsune Miku downloadable songs in the future.
This doesn't bode well for the game. But I respect that they are delaying it and not releasing it in the state of the original. There are approximately 27,000 farm sims releasing on the same day, so we'll manage, it might actually get noticed more too.
On the Switch, I really don't know, I'm still in a bit of a flump with it. On the PC I'll be playing Pokemon Unova Red I started it after beating and completing the Pokedex of Kalos Crystal, I loved that game.
Gonna copy paste the subheader because they're the only ones that interest me on this list: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, Die After Sunset.
Already picked up The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood and I'm waiting to see if Die After Sunset has gyro or not.
I love pokemon clones, but this one never clicked with me, the MMO elements made it so grindy and the final boss was just insert swear words here I never finished it because of that.
I sold all my pokemon games as a teen, I have so much regret about that. And as an adult hard times neccaesitated selling things that were precious to me, but such is life.
I bought this because my partner loved it on PC and I figure if it's not for me he can play it, especially at that low price! But I didn't know it had co-op that's cool It will definately get a lot of play then!
The more I play these games, the more I realise I don't like Pokemon snap clones. Snap was never good, your childhood is lying to you, the pokemon made it tolerable.
I agree with everyone seperately in the comments.
There needs to be a way to reduce IVs or make getting very specific numbers easier, pokemon needs to actually come out of the closet and explain how to breed competitive pokes without you having to youtube it. The games make it super easy now, but they are still missing some QOL things.
Also, they are dumb just gen in a Ditto with the IVS you want and use it to breed your pokes, surely your babies would be fine even if mama was a big fake? (this is what I do btw)
There is no advantage in doing this other than skipping the work. Someone who put the effort in and someone who genned, their pokes should be identical and have no advantage, and if they aren't, then they deserve to be caught anyway because that's such a schoolboy error!
Buttttt I'm not playing Pokemon at such a high level, if i was playing this legit I would put the effort in, it's a no-brainer.
I did the same thing with TOTK, love the game spent 100+ hours and then went on a 'break' and I haven't returned yet. I have big plans for it in September though!
@JohnnyMind Yeah I get it I did feel midly annoyed at some points but I'd much rather have them than not, it made me feel more connected to them somehow. I just finished it I was so good <3 I'm struggling to decide if I love this more or Raincode now, I actually think WEC just beats it by a smidge, I wish I'd gotten to it sooner!
I'm playing World's End Club and it is absolutely fantastic, it's criminal that the reviews for it are so low. So many twists and emotional moments, how could anyone not love it? I'm also playing Pokemon Kalos Crystal I've been away for a few days so I was unable to play it but I've not long arrived in Kanto, trying to fll out some evolutions in my dex.
@gb_nes_gamer OMG you made me feel old, yet valiaded. I knew I remembered something like this I had as a kid and this is the exact one. Probably played it just as much as Nintendo back in the day.
it's chiche' but love all day long. I've gotten by on barely any money at times in my life. but without love there is no way I could've. Have you ever put in a cheatcode in a game and regretted it? I bet that's what infinite money feels like, nothing is special when you can have everything. Everyone deserves the right to eat, be warm and have a few treats every month, any more than that and it just becomes excessive. And fame? no thanks I'd rather have my secrets and regrets privately rather than see them plastered on a front page.
I'm not even playing this splatfest, just popped in to show my age, haha xD
One is enough, and if they don't have anything that's absolutely fine they don't need to make one at all. Social media/youtube would be fine for announcing app/anime stuff.
@SakuraHaruka
I said I wanted more spin-offs which GF are very rarely responsible for, that is just a fact, they've always just focused on the mainline games and let third parties take the reigns on spin-off titles. What's wrong with that? I just miss the days where we had lots of experimental titles like the TCG, snap, dash and mystery dungeon. I would give anything for a mix of Pokémon/farm sim for example, and the commentor I replied too feels this way too.
Im well aware that TPC as a whole are more to blame for the series' shortcomings than the Devs themselves, they are the ones pushing the mobile apps and applying constant crunch, not GF. Please read my comment correctly before you start making assumptions and implying I am a fool.
I enjoyed scarlet and violet, it's flawed yes but it was just pure fun to play, the stories and character design were fantastic but nothing shown in the presentation got me excited for the DLC whatsoever.
@Olrun I feel this too
I want the mainline games too cook in the oven but i'll never say no to spin-offs not made by GameFreak. But these apps are clearly much more profitable and less effort and that makes me sad.
I got sick of waiting for this so this time I didn't resubscribe and emulated it, sue me. The drip feeding might work for boosting sales but they lost one with me. That and I don't play online all that much.
@Magic_Salmon_Pro
Pro tip, you need to invent an exotic pet and claim that for every game you sell, he (or she) gets to eat. Maybe an axototl or a goat would work well. Hey with a goat you could even do what all the cool kids do and say the game is the GOAT and by supporing it they are also feeding the GOAT (you can use that by the way I don't need any royalties, after all I've fed my silver-bellied sugar glider today)
From this list I was only interested in Atelier Marie (which I ended up dislikng) and Might and Magic which I haven't had a chance to play yet.
@Magic_Salmon_Pro This is the second plug I've seen that you've made so I just bought it, It's so shameless that I actually respect it xD and heck it seems to be working for you! I don't even like 2D platformers, maybe this will change my mind. If not I'm a sucker for dinos xD
This weekend I will continue on with Ember Knights. I finished the main story of pokemon glazed; highly reccomended other than having a weak story. Yesterday I started up pokemon kalos crystal which is pure delight, so I will carry on with that as well. Adore is also begging me to play it so that might be on the cards too.
Hoping for just DLC showcase and smartphone apps if I'm honest xD
I hope the story remains strong in the DLC and the brings the level of character design/personality they brought in the base game. Say what you want about the game, and you'd be right, but love them or hate them I haven't rememebered every single gym leader like that since gen 2.

Physical of Rune Factory, as well as another farm sim in Big Farm Story. Also picked up Catlord, it's probably trash but I couldn't resist that price.
