@GrailUK a lot of sega fans grew up to make video games it seems. Which is fineee, I'm for it. But sometimes I wish they'd throw their nostalgia goggles away haha. Nintendo still won that console war for a reason! Hahaha

Anyone else kind of sick of them making mickey games like castle of illusion? Yeah I get that a lot of people grew up with sega, but the capcom magical quest games on nintendo were FAR superior! It's just a nostalgia thing! Also maybe some Epic Mickey remasters please?

Uhh this game is amazing. Easily one of my favourite switch games. This review is BS. Both IGN and Gamespot gave it a 9/10 for a reason. Like, I'm sorry it doesn't have guns?

@Serpenterror That's a ridiculous list but I just want to say don't entirely count out new characters. We thought this DLC was just going to be old tracks but Yoshi's Island is brand new. Just because they say it will include characters from past titles, they're not explicitly stating there couldn't also be new ones (though there likely won't be, I'm just saying they didn't say that exactly)

@Uncle_Franklin If you review any game ten years apart you will get different results. It doesn't mean a thing. I guarantee it is not a worse version

I actually feel like Diddy Kong Racing would be a hard one considering it has Banjo and Conker. Microsoft might make the silly demand of having it as part of rare replay and xbox games pass also. In which case it may just never appear on either

I mean, I know GoldenEye must have been SO much harder. But this has its own unique complexity, with it ONLY being on the switch.

I wish this game was visually more impressive. I don't mean like... 3D or anything... but hand drawn animations would have been nice rather than what looks like basic flash player interpolation. It's cute but it looks like a mobile game

@SwitchVogel Yep, this is 100% it. I am in no rush to get Mario + Rabbids even though I want it, because I know it will eventually be in the eshop for dirt cheap. And if you like turn based strategy games you are already likely a patient person.

I feel like they're deliberately teasing everyone that this will be the final dlc track but I think it's too obvious, and they'll instead surprise everyone with a brand new celebration of mario kart track. So here I am setting myself up for disappointment instead 🥲

But this has nothing to do with LucasArts? Get my hopes up why don't you...

Also the disney afternoon collection or ducktales remastered. Which really either should be on the switch! It's crazy that there's no version of ducktales on the switch

I had NO idea Nier Automata was Platinum developed. I was wondering why Nintendo kept trying to recommend it to me. The combat looks VERY similar to Bayonetta to the point where I first thought it was a rip off

@dmcc0 the problem with the demo is it's either showing everything the game has to offer, or it's showing absolutely nothing. Logically a free demo shouldn't show everything from a £35 game so there MUST be more... but I don't want to buy it in the hope that there is D:

@dmcc0 is it any good? It's still a very high asking price for the kind of game it is. I have no knowledge of the series or even much interest in it, but I love platinumgames. So I am in VERY two minds. I get the impression it's not actually very platinumgames-y. Am I right? Worth the price?

This is a game changer! I noticed this but wasn't sure if it was just a feature of the new maps! Makes me wonder what other possible updates we could get by wave six! Maybe even something like item switching a la double dash!

@Ogbert For the "bundle" edition only I would presume. But I think you're underselling it. It's a remake of the first game. It's not just two games bundled together. I highly recommend it

Umm... that tweet is a very understandable reason to fire someone. It implies incompetence, directly attacks other employees and makes Nintendo look bad. If the contractor thinks it wasn't that and it was actually something else. All that shows is that Nintendo had MULTIPLE reasons to fire them

@PineappleLake I do somewhat agree about the UI in that it outright tells you if items can't be combined or used with things. I mean... I guess people might try combining all their items and things anyway when they get stuck but I don't think it needed the "no" symbol. That could have appeared AFTER you tried to do the thing. Plus I miss Guybrush saying "that won't work" and "I can't put those things together"

@Jeff2sayshi Curse is a fantastic game and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It cemented the voice actors, it introduced Murray. It is FAR from hated

@WoomyNNYes yeah I don't know... medium gives a smoother experience though it's not necessary for this kind of game so I set it to high.

INSTEAD they should have given attention to the hidden away "writer's cut" option. THAT being turned off is more an issue than the graphics.

I also don't know why this review is suggesting that they're ripping on Curse with the statue thing... and in fact the only game with a multi page spread in the scrapbook is the first game. I don't like the negative way this review begins at all. Even Escape is treated with a modicum of respect in the scrapbook. Like, negative points about the game sure but to suggest the game is hating on its predecessors? It's absolute nonsense.

Easier just to put it in the DMZ. I genuinely don't think it's an issue personally. They'd need access to your network and then if they DID manage to gain access, why would they focus on a games console of all things? Should be fine if you live in remote areas with a secure network.
