@DJDM perhaps! So long as you do play Earthbound after! NES games can be really good. Particularly the later ones. Super Mario Bros 3 and Kirby's Adventure are as good as if not better than the entries on the SNES. Some are just short little arcade things like Donkey Kong and Balloon Fight. Still fun but once you've played for a little bit there's not much more to it

@DJDM you don't need to play Beginnings first at all. It would actually be perfectly fine to play Beginnings after. The only one you need to play last is Mother 3

Again, not saying mistreatment is okay. But I'm saying that writing to journalists so they can write an article that slanders the company, jeopardising thousands of jobs, is not the way to do it.

@PharoneTheGnome a good point about making a game independently. It's the same for Hollywood. I'd much rather work super hard on my own indie film than be a runner on some trash blockbuster. Like... if you join as a lackey, why expect to be director?

Seriously though... can employees not go to reporters with their issues about a company. Especially if they're still working there and are doing it secretly because they're "fearful of losing their job". If you don't like the place you're working at. Leave. It's the best and easiest way to show a manager you're unhappy. Rather than trashing the whole company and potentially destroying everyone else's job as well as your own. It's incredibly selfish and is not going to make anyone's situation better. Like I'm sorry if the situation is bad and I get that you want to share it. But this just makes things unpleasant for everyone. It's like having a mole in a spy organisation. Like seriously, why do it this way? Does anyone actually think this is an appropriate response to being mismanaged?

Is this one actually being developed by Yacht Club as opposed to Cyber Shadow? I would probably have passed on a GBC Zelda rip off if it wasn't being developed by these guys in house. Shovel Knight was just so full of love and care though. I trust this will be fantastic too

@DTFaux the difference is that each copy can be signed as unique.

@DTFaux it would benefit me to be able to sell digital content as I would be able to make money back on digital purchases. Like being able to sell physical collectors items like amiibo etc. it depends if the NFTs have value to the consumer. If you don't think artwork has value you don't need to buy it. But NFTs have a lot of use cases and we're just scratching the surface. Artwork is just the simplest to understand right now. But you could buy for example the master file of a movie. Like owning the original print. That's crazy for collectors and would definitely be something sought after. It's just digital collecting. If you don't see the value in collecting pogs or bottle caps then that's fine. But some people enjoy it

@BTB20 no one's actually said what it's about. Almost as if no one sharing it has bothered to watch the two hours themselves. And you're sharing it with people who are not knowledgable so they will eat up anything this guy says. You can't rely on one person's opinion for information. Yes someone can do the research for you and make a video but you have no idea what his agenda is. People should find information from a variety of sources. Not simply one video with a heck of a lot of views. If a Justin Bieber song claimed the world was flat it wouldn't make it true

It could be possible to make a MetroidVania game where you do not obtain upgrades at all and the game depends entirely on skill. You could progress and change the environment by flooding areas to allow you to reach high areas. Or gravity controls, turning on a bubble machine etc. I think this would be interesting to see

@Richnj I'm sorry but how is partnering with a company on an NFT project such a bad thing? And sure, no one forced him to do that. But no one forces him to do anything. What if he randomly decided to sell stuff on Etsy. Would he deserve abuse for that? Is he asking for it? How are you meant to know what can cause you to get abuse on twitter when completely harmless things will make people hate you.

@Richnj you disagree with me about the livelihood thing. That's all. Plenty of celebrities have been through the **** when they think their career is over. We're all just people. With strong emotions. Celebrities tend to have it worse. It takes a certain kind of person to get to that point. A need and desire to be loved. Not saying you should love people that need that but it's going to hurt more than most when you get thousands of randoms hating on you on twitter. Which would already destroy a "normal" person. As a celebrity you are forced to take it, why? Nobody deserves that level of abuse...

Boycott Spotify for allowing someone to make a podcast about whether young people need the covid vaccine... Boycott Chris Pratt for... (I don't even know what the reason is for this one).

Dudes literally threatened to cancel him... this is why Snyder's Justice League was made. I'm a little sick of the toxic fan culture that threatens people's livelihoods just because you don't agree with something. Even right now if you look at the replies to his most recent tweet there are people saying "an apology isn't good enough". Like... wow... what the hell happened to people to make them so full of hate (oh yeah, a pandemic)

@Krysus I'm neither saying they're amazing nor am I saying they're a scam. They are just what they are. Not everything has to be so black and white. It's not "life changing technology" versus "total piece of **** scam".

This is what gets me, the extreme views, on EITHER side. There is nothing wrong with NFTs as a concept and I believe they can have some real use cases. People will buy NFTs of things they support. They won't for things they don't. So yeah there are people selling monkey avatars. But are they actually selling? Compare to Banksy selling an NFT. An actual artist. Again, you don't have to support them. But I'm glad some people out there are supporting artists.

Anyone can sell an NFT. Just like anyone can sell physical artwork. It's simply a means of distribution.

@BLD I don't own any NFTs. I'm just encouraging people to do research rather than hate on things for no apparent reason. This isn't about me

Seems a bit over the top to remove my comment but I'll write it again without the "childish" part if that's better for you guys.

Most people here are "flaming/arguing" both the company and people who are into the NFT scene by saying "**** these guys and shove their NFTs". So I responded to that.

Here's the watered down version:

Nobody cares if you want to boycott a company for unjust reasons. You don't need to tell everyone.

@andykara2003 geforce now performs the best and has a lot of customisation. It used to be the best one. But unfortunately the game selection has been reduced massively. Last I checked it has most of the ubisoft library though and plenty of indies. It used to be that you could play your entire steam library but that was only when the service was in beta. Admittedly I haven't checked it in a while but last I checked I was kinda disappointed. Plus it only lets you play games you already own so it's kinda dumb that it doesn't let you play everything now. It does let you use the service for free though for two hours at a time so that's a big plus.

Xbox cloud is what I use now, as it has the better selection of games (Gears of War, Halo, Doom, Psychonauts etc.) but it doesn't perform as well. And there's no customisation. (Geforce now lets you choose resolution and framerate depending on your internet connection for a silky smooth experience). There's no free option but you don't have to buy the games so you get a LOT for your money.

Stadia has a really poor selection of games so I didn't even bother with that one

@andykara2003 also, I'd like to consider myself hardcore casual haha. I'm a hardcore gamer, been playing since the NES and have played almost every Nintendo game. But I don't freak out about PC master race and playing with high refresh rate monitors and the like, so in that regard I'm "casual".

Edit: I do play with game mode on of course, I was just trying to make a comparison

@andykara2003 I mean I guess with the more post processing TVs kept adding the situation got worse. But at the beginning of HD TVs people didn't even know what game mode was and it also probably didn't even exist on TVs at the time. I was kind of referring to then rather than how it is now. The input latency with cloud gaming is actually pretty decent. As I said, I was able to play Psychonauts 2 which has platforming sections. Platforming is some of the hardest to deal with when it comes to input latency and I didn't even notice an issue. It's not perfect but it's a lot better than you'd expect

@BulkSlash why would that be the future? I remember when 3D gaming started and I thought it looked so ugly compared to the SNES. It felt like a huge step backwards... but now look at where we are! Cloud gaming is new technology in its infancy. It has a ways to go but it will get there. Internet speeds have been getting faster and faster

What I find interesting is that one of the main criticisms of cloud gaming is that you can't play everywhere... I feel I should remind people that back in the day you needed access to a TV to play your games. Imagine criticising mobile phones because not everywhere has network coverage...

@SuperZeldaFun I was referring to the future. As was who I was replying to. I'm aware the current Nintendo console doesn't have 5G capability

@noobish_hat cloud gaming is more than that. In a world where we do have a constantly reliable connection. When we have 5G and the like. It will be a wonder. Games take up no storage, they don't require big bulky devices, and you can run them at the highest quality settings at 60fps. The input latency isn't even as bad as playing with an HDMI cable without game mode on. And people actually still play like that. Like yeah these games could be on the system but I'd rather not download a 50GB game when I could just stream it.

@CharlieGirl What exactly don't you like about it? As things currently stand we have no way of reselling digital copies of games. With NFT technology we could do that. We could use the technology to lend people digital games like you would a physical copy. It makes the proof of ownership so much easier.

And cloud gaming works, it DOES work. Maybe not so much on the switch but if Nintendo designed a console with it in mind it would work wonders. I've been able to play games I never otherwise would unless I spent the money on an xbox. I played Psychonauts 2 on my macbook with a Nintendo pro controller. It was amazing. I'd have completely missed out on the chance to play that game if it wasn't for cloud gaming.

And don't misappropriate Prince quotes just because you don't understand the technology.

I suppose it's easier to believe the professional if they say it with another assertion. But I'd argue we are professionals; professional Nintendo fans
