@EVIL-C those controllers actually have LESS features and HIGHER failure rates then the switch pro controller which ISNT the standard controller the joy con are. also Nintendo has official third party controllers from Hori. pdp. ect. licensed and cheap.

30fps on a system that can easily do 60 is getting old. start learning how to use DLSS 3.2. or outsource to someone who does. this game runs at 60 on a steam deck for gods sake

I don't know what you people expected form a Mario Bros movie. the story was never the focus of any of the games, and it always equated to " Bowser kidnaps princess".

The fact that we got ANYTHING as charming and fun as we did is a small miracle. considering how bad illuminations movies are its a straight up act of god that we even got things like the scene were Mario is hiding from bowser and having a small panic attack. ( that was such a heart felt few minutes) or that it paid any respect to anything besides main line Mario.

I don't even see HOW they could pull more story out of these characters. The Mario RPG games are okay but none of them actually feel like Mario, more like Mario is in a different universe doing something else.

@Ganon821 switch two is the best console launch of all time. It'll be at 10million units by the end of the year. It's already at 8. The highest of all time was 5 million. What are you talking about?

I already have a switch 2 anyway, so I'm fine with that. Hell I just beat DQ3 on it after they upgraded it for switch 2 for free. Now I'm playing DQ 11s just for the fun of it

I'm hoping for 5mil sales before February 1st. Not that i have any stock in Nintendo, but it will wake Japanese devs up a little. some of them skipped switch 1 and left a ton of money on the table for years.

They wont make the same mistake twice if we get good Japanese sales in that first year. I want some 'Made for switch 2" and less "ported to switch 2"

I'm also an avid CRT gamer. I have a few really good ones too (Sony Trinitrons, TV broadcast monitors) but sadly I've never been able to get my hands on a 16:9 CRT. lucky you. Anyway you seem like a good dude, I'm glad a real gamer got this and put it to use.

i wonder if cyberpunk has moved a million units on switch 2 yet. i think they may have considering switch 2 sales are nearing 5mil and its the biggest non mariokart game.

i love the "game selections underwhelm" like this system isn't two weeks old.

Got to play it a bit during the event in my home town (NYC) and i loved it. i just want to see some more fun places to explore.

hopefully it gets its own direct or we get a general direct at the end of the month

i only ever had stick drift once so it wasnt a big deal for me, but my sons switch lite got it so bad he couldn't play. i ended up fixing it but got him an OLED anyway, which also got stick drift. hoping his luck is better with his switch 2

I'm a huge sony fan. this is the first console generation that i barely touch a sony console i have 4 ps5 games. i play everything else on gamepass (PC and XBOX) or switch/ Switch 2. they've just been catering to the western audience, and that's not my bag.

@PS12345 i don't know. as someone who owns this game on ps5 id say its about 80% as good on switch 2 as the ps5 in terms of visuals. its frame rate where the difference is closer top only 50% if that. ( i know it runs at 30fps which IS 50% 0F 60FPS but it has dips on both)

i personally cant believe how good this game looks on handheld. I've got a steam deck and briefly owned a ROG alley and i didn't like the performance of this game at all. on switch 2 with VRR enabled it looks insane.

@Lord that is incorrect. its the same story in the UK. they've said it themselves. highest selling Nintendo console in UK history in the first 4 days. So yeah pretty much the same. maybe there ARE ton in stores but that doesn't mean it didn't sell.

i originally skipped it. 6 was so meh that it turned me off to the series. i'll give this a shot though

I'm an OLED snob. so not having one is my only gripe with the switch2 but i mostly play on my oled tv anyway and with HDR (very poorly calibrated out of the box btw) and 4k it looks incredible. definitely a must buy for big fans of Nintendo

its a great step forward for Mario Kart and a heck of a good time. i not only play online but local with my wife and kids. So much fun either way

i bought this for my son and it looks a LOT classier then i thought. i'd bring it on a business trip

I was extremely excited about the ROG alley X when it released and i paid almost $1000 after tax for it. i sold it in days. The battery life was an hour to 90min MAX and it was so heavy i didn't like to play it or take it with me. i ended up with a steam deck OLED and my switch and i'm pretty happy i did.

I was looking forward to this but with fantasy life also getting a switch2 version I'm not sure which to jump into.

@Moistnado i own a steam deck as well as a ROG ally. i can tell you that the steam deck output is at best 1080p 60FPS on very week much older games. The ROG has can do 4k 30 on indie and older games 1080p 60 on current stuff. the Switch 2 is indeed capable of 4k 60FPS output as well as 1080p 120FPS. YES that IS the most power any handheld has yet to produce. As far as game price, i can understand not being able to afford $80 games, but lets not pretend everything is cheaper on steam. i paid $100 for monster hunter wilds and i enjoyed every second of playing it. unfortunately NOT on my OLED steam deck as it doesn't run on that system. meaning that more and more games will not run well or at all on the ageing system. I'm not saying the STEAM DECK or the ROG Ally arent good, but both cost more money and do less. (549.99 steam deck OLED, 649.99 ROG ally)
