Re: The Game Awards GOTY For 2021 Is 'It Takes Two' By Hazelight Studios

@Frailbay30 I'm not a meteoritic person, all I saw were a ton of 10/10s from respected websites. I was stoked and picked it up and was massively disappointed. It just felt like a ham fisted mash up of other better games. Still id say its a sold 7/10 definitely worth playing, not GOTY material. RE was also fine not amazing. I'd say Metroid was hands down the best game of the year with MHR behind it, but I'd put It takes two behind them. Tied with R&C and Psychonuats 2

it takes two is a fine game. I think the gameplay was comparable to the best 3d platformers around (sans Mario of corse) but I'm pretty sure it won GOTY because people think "Great story= Great game" This is a trend that has been around for a while now and I'm not super into it. Sure some games are so incredibly and overwhelmingly great that they are massively praised even without much of a story (I'm looking at you BOTW) but most of the time people say thing like "Have you played uncharted? That game was so good. it was like watching a movie!"

Oh well. At very least I'm glad it won over the much more over rated games nominated like RE and Deathloop.

@Serialsid as someone who owns them both I disagree completely. From a specs point of view the XSX is far stronger than the ps5 and it does just about everything better. This is coming from a life long Sony fanboy. ( I literally own multiple copies of every iteration of every Sony console) Maybe its because this is only my 3rd xbox system but I really feel like its "next gen" when I play as apposed to feeling like a ratchet and clank machine.

Re: Rumour: Game Boy And Game Boy Color Games Still Expected For Switch Online

Ratmasterd21

I would love this. I honestly think they are nintendos most neglected systems (which is mad considering that nintendo held itself up on its handhelds for so long and its somewhat still doing so with the switch)

I know people are very happy about N64, but i always felt like it was so week when it comes to games. yes there are 20 or 30 great N64 games, but that's about it and half of them are licensing nightmares' (see; the wrestling games, Goldeneye, Beatle adventure racing, ect.) so i was really pulling for gameboy/gbc/gba. Its just easier to emulate correctly too.

Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online N64 Game Ranked

honestly I would have preferred Gameboy/Gameboy color/ Gameboy advance.

besides the N64 games listed there are few titles left that they can even get. (the wrestling games for example aren't coming as they are licensing nightmares, same goes for sports and movie games like goldeneye) I can think of 5 or 6 other games worth playing on the system and that's about it.

@BloodNinja yes it's FPGA. and the chip they are using is powerful enough to play GBA perfectly, so I assume if it's hacked it can do the same for just about anything retro (as in 2D retro, not PS1 or above) I know that at very least GB,GBC, GBA,GG, NGPC, and TG16 are supported out if the box (with adapters for carts that you have to pay extra for)

Re: The Analogue Pocket Has Now Been Delayed Until December

@BloodNinja the analog pocket. You mentioned that you can just emulate these gems on PC, which is completely true. I was just trying to say that the whole point of this is that it ISN'T emulation.

Just to be clear I'm not saying there is anything wrong with emulation as I also use emulation on my phone and PC, I'm just the kind of guy who wants to play things the best way possible and this is more then likely the case for this product.

@Curbie you can use 8bitdo controllers to play on the TV with the dock. it also upscales to 1080p so yeah if you want to play gb,gba, gbc on a tv this will be the best way. Not to mention it'll also play NGPC,GG, and TG16. so I'd say its still worth it.

that being said you have a point about the control as far as handheld use.
