@BaldB3lper78 Metro games coverage is typically excellent. Worth checking out. Really not what you think. If you want an idea of what scope they have, Google Metro Games of the Year for the past few years. Some of the best games coverage out there. Rest of the site is as you'd expect though.

Are PowerA actually any good? I've had a couple of the cheaper ones and they really weren't great. But might have been a case of you get what you pay for as they were lower end wired ones.

Was £41,99 on shopto yesterday so preordered. Although has gone up to £49.99 now.

I managed to pre-order a physical copy from Shopto in the UK for £41.99 earlier, which feels more like what it should be. Looking at their listing tonight it's gone up to £49.99. Not sure if I got lucky but I can cope with that!

At some point will file size and storage become an issue with this app? Each disc holds up to 1.5gb (appreciate not all games use the full amount). Will add up as games added. Be good if could cherry pick within the app itself. Hoping for a lot of GC games over time.

Agree with everyone saying it's a non-issue. You ship 3.5m consoles, they'll be some swollen batteries. Yes mention it to people but it's not likely to be a design fault. Had it this year with a pixel phone. No-one's saying don't buy pixel phones for this reason. Just unlucky. Not sure I'd put it in the post though!

Presumably the rest will follow via the auto updater in time? I have a M30 and a pro 2. Would love to still use them

Doesn't really bother me, especially given the size of updates and patches that have to be downloaded over time - admittedly more relevant on PS5, etc

Received an invite for the UK site today, Took several hours and a shift from my phone to my laptop to get the code system to work. Had managed to get a console from Argos last week but was after the GameCube controller. Was able to get two (one for my son too) which surprised me as I thought I could only get one with a console order. Very pleased (and lucky)

Amazing game, definitely in my all time top 10. I had the special edition Gamecube console at the time. Played the original again a couple of years ago and loved it. Had to play nothing else at the same time though as the controls really need locking into as feel pretty unnatural by modern standards. Funnily enough just finished the REmake on PS5 last night. Was incredible, somehow managed to feel both completely authentic to the original and modern at the same time. Cannot recommend it enough.

@GravyThief these did reappear last month in the UK at least. First time for over a year from what I could tell. I grabbed two. Hopefully will be back in stock again given NSO confirmed for Switch 2.

Slightly weird article. Nintendo have paid for some advertising to draw attention to a new service. I've heard this does happen in the world of marketing.

Genuinely really pleased with this. Think it's wonderful. Nice to see Nintendo officially currating their music in this way. I'll certainly use it.

Can anyone confirm definitively if there's a UK physical release or not? I'm sure the last direct on the specific Nintendo UK YouTube channel showed a Nov 22nd release but its not listed anywhere to buy online.

I'm quite interested to see what dock compatibility is, assuming the dock remains a factor. We have 3 switches in the house and we're not going to all be upgrading at the same time. At the moment we can all share the same dock on the main TV with the others in the kid's rooms. Be interesting to see if could use existing switches on new docks if that is what's coming.

Like a lot of people I'd love switch (or switch 2 now even) releases of

• Ultra Street Fighter IV
• Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2
• Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2
• Power Stone

@Zverik you won't really. Pretty self-contained I think. Plot a minor part of first one anyway. Quite different games though, feel and style not consistent between them. First one is one of best games on switch but more tactical. Second one a good game but more forgiving.

I'm a UK buyer so estimating the GBP equivalents. I think generally they come in about where I'd expect for whats offered given the pricing of games. I'd pre-ordered Metroid Prime for £29.99 which felt like a great deal. Generally I use shopto.net which is typically the best. Somehow Paper Mario TTYD was under £35. The only one I've thought was taking the mickey was the Pikmin 1 + 2 set. That was over priced versus what was released.

I'm interested to know if any new switch 2 docks will support the current switch too. We have 3 switches in our house and there's no way we'll all upgrade at the same time. Would be good to still be able to share a single dock on the main TV in the lounge.

A Viewtiful Joe remaster please, even if only digital like the ps3/ps4 Okami remaster.

BOTW has the advantage of coming first and blew my mind in a way I couldn't imagine from previous Zeldas. It felt the culmination of everything the Zelda concept could be. TOTK was incredible but lacked the purity of BOTW. TOTK was like a super sized BOTK meal with every extra added on whether it was good for you or not. I loved that about it but would go BOTW if pushed.

Pre-ordered from shopto this morning for £34. Not sure if it was an error as it's now up to £43. Looking forward to this!

That's crazy. I wonder what the figure would be if it included resales, I.e. those people who bought a second hand copy. I know that doesn't count from a Nintendo point of view but would be interesting to know how many switch owners have owned a Mario Kart copy one way or another.
