Re: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Both Make Debut in UK Charts Top 5

PuppyToucher

@JamesR while I know this isn't a popular opinion I am really enjoying Star Wars battlefront 2. Have only played a few missions in the campaign so far but it has been a lot of fun, and the gameplay in the multiplayer is top notch. Combat feels so good in both the on foot shooting and the space battles. Heros vs villains is also a blast to play. It's a shame that such a great game is being overshadowed by a poor progression system and microtransations because the gameplay itself is everything I wanted from a Star Wars game. I hope EA still sticks with the plan of providing free DLC for the game when they reinstate microtransations because it will give the game longevity. It worked well for halo 5 and with some tweaking battlefront 2 could become an outstanding game overall as well.

Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to Hit the Nintendo Switch on 22nd September

PuppyToucher

@rjejr I am pumped for this release and a buddy of mine who has already played the game on xb1 is gonna double dip on switch. The portability is too good an offer to pass up and this game for DBZ fans is a must have. I do agree that all DLC that has been released so far should be included but I still am fine with paying full price to have this game in switch.

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ Could Come To Switch If The Demand Is There, Says Producer

PuppyToucher

I would like to have both games, but before we get into confirming this game for switch how about you confirm a release date for dragon ball xenoverse 2...? Thought we'd get one at E3 since it was said to be a fall release date...? Seriously how much longer do we need to wait to know when fall games are launching? Makes no sense to me and fall is right around the corner. How can you even begin to measure demand for this game when you can't even give a release date for a game set to come out in a few months?

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I wouldn't say he is always lying, but rather that he is always putting a PR spin on things. Also hard to say he isn't a president and is just a PR BS merchant when we only get to hear about his public statements but not what his day to day duties and tasks are.

Re: New Trailer for Skyrim on Switch Showcases Motion Controls and Link amiibo Support

PuppyToucher

I really want to support 3rd parties but the fall slate is starting to get crowded, and we still have few dates... Is this date gonna be revealed in the Nintendo spotlight? Also I remember seeing an article on polygon or something saying dragon ball xenoverse 2 was coming this fall but then I have heard nothing else about that release. Is that still happening?

Yeah I knew I had seen this:

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Working On A Smartphone Legend Of Zelda Game

PuppyToucher

If this is true and we do get a Zelda mobile game I hope it is similar to Ittle Dew. Idk how many of you played this title, but this website reviewed it for the eshop release and gave it an 8/10.

I played it on mobile and fell in love with the title and would give it a 9/10. The touchscreen controls took me some getting used to but once I figured out you could enlarge the touchscreen d-pad I had little difficulty with the controls and it did not detract from the amazing experience. The puzzles are clever and it was a nice title to scratch that Zelda itch when I didn't have a portable console with me.

If Nintendo can give me a one time purchase 2d Zelda gameplay experience similar to Ittle Dew then I am super hyped! For anyone reading this who hasn't played Ittle Dew, give the game a shot and don't be intimidated by touchscreen controls. I'm sure the controls feel better on a console, but i never had more fun playing a game on my mobile phone and being able to have that experience without having to bust out a console was amazing imo.

Re: First Impressions: Exploring a New Land in Ever Oasis on 3DS

PuppyToucher

@DarthFoxMcCloud everything you said in comments 23 and 24 I 100% agree with. From the sounds of this preview this is going to be a good game and a switch version would be awesome.

Streetpass is a cool feature that is missed on the switch, but I hope that when we get more news about the switches online network that maybe features like miiverse and streetpass could be added, though I think it's a long shot.

Re: Feature: Ten Wii U Games That Would Find a Loving Home on Nintendo Switch

PuppyToucher

Only ones I think the switch needs to get as ports are super Mario maker and smash bros 4. Otherwise I would rather have new installments in the series, but smash won't see another version for a long long time and mario maker is a creation tool so a port with some new features added wouldn't be too bad. I'm so pumped for this E3 and I hope they announce a smash and Mario maker port along with Pokémon stars and a 2d metroid, but now I'm just dreaming.

Re: RiME Price Lowered for Switch eShop, With Soundtrack Incentive at Retail

PuppyToucher

This is a great compromise and hopefully a good example of a solution other companies can use to make switch owners not feel taken advantage of due to higher retail cost. Saw a preview for this game on gamespot and it looks good. I'm looking forward to reading what the reviews will have to say. I just hope the game isn't pushed back too far on the switch. Nintendo still needs comparable software sales, to what the other consoles will get, in order to keep encouraging devs and publishers to put their games on the switch.

Re: Nintendo Switch Led Japanese Hardware Sales in April

PuppyToucher

I still think it's a little early for the "it prints money" but the early momentum is very encouraging. I am very excited for E3 also but since I didn't get my switch until the end of April I still have a lot of Zelda and Mario kart to chew through before I should even think about getting new games.

Re: Poll: How Do You Play the Nintendo Switch - As A Portable, Home Console or Hybrid?

PuppyToucher

Interestingly today was the first day I hooked the switch up to the tv. Had a buddy come over and we played a couple rounds of Mario kart. It's cool to have two controllers out of the box, but they really are hand cramp inducing.

Finally played some Zelda on the tv and gotta say the colors didn't seem as vibrant on the tv as they do in handheld mode, but the game still played great.

I do think over time we will see the switch marketed more as a handheld. I think that could happen sooner rather then later depending on the type of 3rd party support. If it is just a Nintendo and indie machine then in my mind it is more a successor to the vita, but with the added benefits of Nintendo games and that's not a bad thing imo.

Re: Site News: Switch It Up With Our Readership Survey

PuppyToucher

@Niinbendo I also agree that if something isn't report worthy to just let it be. At the same time who am I to make the choice for others? I like they gave the option to ignore because more options allows for a more customized user experience and I think that is typical a good thing for a website to shoot for.

Re: Nintendo Share Value Rebounds Slightly After Recent Drops

PuppyToucher

Nintendo should give us more NS news prior to 2017, if any of it is bad news they get it out the way early. If they provide us with specs and features of the console in 2016 they can spend all of 2017 showing why the games are amazing. For me at least, the games are the most important part so if they end with a steady stream of revealing good games for the system I think they should have good launch sales.

Basically I think the reveal was good, even though investors clearly didn't, I am assuming something in the specs or features of the system will draw negative press, and then they can end on a really high note with amazing games and that would be our lasting impression prior to launch.
