Nintendo appears to have pushed Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp live a day ahead of schedule.
The smartphone game is now available for download on both iOS and Android, despite the fact that the official release date is supposed to be the 22nd (tomorrow).
We're not entirely sure if this is a global release at present but we've been able to download the Android version here in the UK, and we're getting confirmed reports from other territories, including Australia and Japan.
Has the game gone live where you are? What do you make of it so far? Let us know with a comment.

I was able to download the app in the US iOS store, but the servers arenโt live yet.
Downloading it right now.
It is available in the US but as far as I can tell it isn't playable yet, I get an error when I boot the game up. Hopefully it is playable later today but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't until tomorrow since that is when the "official" release date is.
Too bad the servers are down. Would be nice to play this in the bus and train. (EU, The Netherlands)
Ah well, gives me more time to slay some monsters in Monster Hunter 4U.
Working in the uk iOS app store
Is it require 100% Online Connection to play ?
Servers are back up now
Available in Norway too! Didn't get any Play Store notification about it, though.
USA - Android - is live. Occasional communication errors though.
So the evidences for the november 21st release was correct finally !!
My girlfriend will be happy, but I will wait for the Switch version.
You can download it and link your Nintendo Account but you'll get a communication error every time you try to start playing it [San Diego, California]. Um...maybe it's actually starting on the 22nd...
I have played it a bit already. But I occasionly get errors
Would love to, but some idiot wonโt stop trying to log into my Apple ID in some unheard of country and now itโs disabled. Once this stupid thief is taken care of maybe Iโll be allowed to join you all.
Where are all the people mad at Nintendo for breaking street date? Nintendo should have itself arrested and thrown in jail.
I was able to download it from the Canadian iOS App Store but havenโt been able to connect yet.
It's downlodable for me on my Finnish account while I'm in Japan. Strangest is though that why in the world did I not get any notification from Google Play store, I had preregistered for the availability of the app.
I got logged into it and created my guy but then it has been moaning about finding a better location, then trying to go meet up with Apollo it bombed back to title. Server being hit hard with sign ups.
As with most people, I obviously would prefer to get a real animal crossing game on switch, and never buy a trash mobile game. But itโs animal crossing so ima get it.
Will be downloading this sharpish.
It doesn't work. No connection
@BarryDunne I know! I got it to work! All you have to do is spam the server retry button and the tap to start button.
@meltendo @Saego @Dpishere @Pewp_Taco Guys I got it to work! What you have to do is spam the network retry button and tap to start button. Donโt give up, after you link your my Nintendo account and download some of the games assets you have to spam the retry button for about 30 sec. I know that might sound like a lot but itโs really easy!
I've changed my mind about what type of camp I want - I want a cute camp! How do I start again? I've already linked my nintendo account :/
Got it to work, did one request and then got kicked out... oh well maybe tomorrow.
Sadly it's not compatible with my iPod Touch even though the previous Nintendo mobile games and apps have been.
I guess I should look into getting a smart phone one of these days.
I think the servers will be better tomorrow. Not sure why they launched it a day early, but I suspect that is a reason for so many errors. Running an apk over the weekend, it ran perfectly fine for me with no errors.
@Sciqueen
I haven't started playing yet myself, but Reddit has a good "How To" section on Pocket Camp. I've read there that you unlock all the different campsites as you play, so you will get to experience all options eventually. Just need a bit of patience I guess, unless you can work out how to wipe your save file without messing everything up. I've downloaded the game and linked to My Nintendo Account before starting to play, and that is what saves the game, I believe.
Someone else may know a lot more than me.
@rjejr I'm assuming you are being sarcastic...
@Yorumi
*everyone
Everyone has played video games before.
Had no problem downloading it here in New York at 9AM. Had a few error messages pop up, then after about 90 minutes got kicked to the main menu 3 or 4 times, but it mostly played ok.
FYI I'm on Android 6.0, system info says 4.2 or higher. The game install is 50mb in the store but my system settings say the game is about 150mb and 200mb of data, total 350mb.
I haven't paid any money yet, likely never will. I'm not even sure how much the leafs cost, the game isn't pushing it that heavily.
I've never played an AC game before, but I'm guessing it's something like this.
Nintendo Account linked up no problem, same for Club Nintendo rewards. You can get 50 leaves for free in Club Nintendo for linking accounts. You also get something for linking the game to Twitter and Facebook but I couldn't actually find in the game how to. The game made a Google Gamer Tag or whatever it's called at startup, so if anybody seems ClownCougarLeopardHat534 that's me.
Downloaded but I haven't got a chance to play it yet. Happy it release during the holiday week. Maybe Franklin can pay a visit for the first Pocket Camp event.
@UmbreonsPapa @PtM I'm being falsely sarcastic. I really don't think Ntinedo should arrest itself for breaking street date, but the entire world makes WAY to big of a deal when a copy of a game here or there breaks street date. They aren't gov't military secrets, it's a game, a few days aren't going to break the space-time continuum.
Downloading NOW!
@rjejr I paid a ton on Hearthstone, but then that was after nearly 50 hours of gameplay.
No luck for me, apparently for Nintendo Latin America is just Mexico!
Downloaded it at lunch today when I saw it was up. Still haven't finished the tutorial. Most likely this will become the new thing to do to wind down or when I am stuck waiting for something.
@SwitchplayerJohn I barely pay anything for any games ever, don't see myself starting w/ AC:PC.
Just checked my iPhone and yes it is available to download now from the App Store in Canada.
Played quite a bit today with zero issues! Itโs really fun and surprisingly deep.
-Portland, OR
Way more fun and addictive than I had expected. Iโm a big fan of AC, though.
@rjejr Lol, er , yeah, er , after it pissed off all it's Retailers that didn't break Street Date!
( Are people buying ANimlaCrossing Amiibo again?)
Played this before using the Australian app and had no issues whatsoever and had a blast, now I decided to start fresh with the UK version and I have had nothing but errors and it is seriously effecting the fun of this game. If I hadn't had chance to play the glitch free Australian version and saw how fun it could be I would have given up by now.
The game is great, but loading times are really slow (iphone7) and I get a lot disconnection issues as well
@cfgk24 Are people buying ANimlaCrossing Amiibo again?
I doubt it, but I just saw an ad for Gamestop - probably a comment on Twitter - where they were having a Buy 1 get 3 free on AC amiibo so it made me think of them. Target still has the same bunch from when AC:aF released.
@rjejr They're cheap now! Might be worth picking them up before AC SWITCH inevitably gets announced... ๐
Gotta say, the game was fun last night but towards the end of the night and also this morning, the game is unbearably slow. Really hope they get the servers fixed. Keep getting communication errors and again, it's so slow. And I'm on full bar LTE right now (and last night when the slowness started, I was on full bar Wi-Fi).
