Mouse controls for single player would have been an easy slam dunk for this. You get the accuracy of Wii pointer controls without the need to recalibrate all the time with joy con gyro. Nintendo love to be needlessly restrictive with things like this - could have been the best implementation so far of mouse mode!
Maybe they'll push an update for it if we're lucky. 3D All-Stars didn't have GameCube controller support for Sunshine at first.
@Serpenterror Minecraft characters are DLC, not base game. Okay, if Transformed isn't purchasable on PS3's PSN anymore I was wrong on that. It's still available for Steam and Xbox though (Let's be honest, Steam is where 95% of new purchases will be). I'm looking at the store pages right now, they both have a purchase option with pricing.
@MirrorFate2 @Coolmusic The case was dismissed a month ago, but Epic was asking Sega about possibly licensing Live and Learn for Fortnite about two weeks ago and they said to contact Johnny - no reason to do that when it had been proven he had no ownership. At the time of the suit being filed Johnny was saying he did not have any bad blood with Sega and just wanted to clear up the matter of who owns what. If he still feels that way, new Crush 40 music is possible.
On the other hand, Crossworlds has a jukebox mode where you can play music from across the series, but none of the Crush 40 songs feature. Perhaps this was done because they were still awaiting a verdict.
Things don't look clear at the moment, but I would understand if Johnny is peeved about the outcome and chooses not to play ball. Legally, Sega should be able to continue using the old songs as they please.
@Serpenterror They've sidestepped that issue entirely by making the third party characters paid DLC. If licenses ever expire and they don't renew them, the game itself will be safe. That's a very long term issue though, Transformed is actually still available to purchase on Xbox, PS3 and Steam 13 years later (you may have been mistaken for some other Sonic delistings) and that has Disney licensing.
@Lizuka Especially when it's a game mechanic you didn't even invent. Megami Tensei, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest all had summoning creatures mechanics years before Pokemon.
Panzer Dragoon 1 was easily one of Forever's best remakes, but still not perfect. Hopefully the extra time means a better result than the HOTD remakes.
All I want is to be able to use the screenshot button for screenshot on PC, they change it to Turbo on PC and you can't change it. Only 8Bitdo's Xbox controllers seem to have PC screenshot support, but they don't have gyro controls and aren't Switch compatible.
50,000 8Bitdo controllers and none of them have all of the features, despite having a line of "Ultimate" controllers.
@CasualTalkRadio I don't think Adventures of Elliot is particularly unique though. "Adventures/Legend of [Insert Noun Here] is pretty standard stuff. It's generic at worst, but not at all in the same category of some other Square Enix titles.
@Scoopz These guys won't listen. They've had it in their minds that the Switch needs to beat the PS2 hardware sales for some kind of sense of validation, they've been hoping for it for years. When Sony updated the numbers last year for all of their systems to celebrate the 30th anniversary of PS they took it personally and just claimed it was made up despite multiple sources, "people only bought PS2s to play DVDs anyway", and there are even people in here disputing the accuracy of the prior 155 million number.
Very immature behaviour, you don't need to beat down the PS2's astounding success to prop up the Switch's success, they are both incredible machine. Two legends can co-exist as they say.
@StewdaMegaManNerd No they didn't. Look at PS2 software sales vs Switch, there's not much of a difference. People bought PS2s to play games, DVDs were a bonus.
Switch software sales are currently at 1.42 billion.
PS2 software sales by the end of life are 1.54 billion.
Just like the Kadokawa situation last year this is entirely about the anime and manga business. People were freaking out about Sony wanting to make FromSoft exclusive to PS but it was never the intention. At least on the gaming front there is no concern, you might have a problem with Sony dominating the anime market though.
He's partially right. I find it hard to get enthusiastic about anything Star Wars these days. I still haven't watched Season 2 of Andor. There's been a deluge of middling content bearing the Star Wars brand (Same can be said for Ubisoft)!
@GameOverScreen "But they had to make it weird." Weird = Playing as a woman.
Even in 720p it can still drop to the low 40s/high 30s. It's a very CPU limited game, only so much resolution and graphics downgrades can do for it. I'm surprised they didn't test 1440p.
FSR1 in the big 2025 when you have access to DLSS is a baffling choice, really. Can we end double buffer V-Sync as well? Those 30fps boss fights would probably be in the 40 to 50 fps range if it wasn't for the double buffer clamping it down to 30.
I think this is a fair decision. THPS soundtracks were responsible for introducing a lot of people to different music - makes sense to keep doing that and freshen things up with some of the songs from the original release.
Video games may or may not be art, but the audience does not treat them as such, even when they defend the medium as being an artform. No other medium has an audience that so slovenly demands remakes of their favourite "art".
@Lady_rosalina aespa is K-Pop though? They have some Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B influence but most of the discography is pop oriented, with an electronic leaning.
Generative AI is a very touchy subject, and it can often be misconstrued with other types of "AI". This is a problem with any console where the hardware can be banned from online. So basically everything released since the Xbox 360. This also means certain corners will latch onto this universal issue as a Switch 2 specific problem by the oh so anti-consumer Nintendo (Like the EULA kerfuffle).

@andykara2003 that would be perfect. Make it small enough to slot on top of the dock even.

Some of you are expecting a lot from a sub £400, 20W handheld if you want every game on it to run at 60fps.

Re: Talking Point: Would Drag x Drive Be Better With Miis Or Non-Mouse Control Options?
You could probably make the game work by using the two analogue sticks, Katamari style.
The question is would Nintendo want to do this when the entire point is to show off what you can do with a pair of mice?
