I might need to check one of these demos. There's been a lot of hype around dual-stick controls, which I hate in action games. What I want is something like Metroid Prime GameCube controls.
It just occurred to me there's probably some people reading too young to get that reference. It was one of my favorite Wind Waker/contemporary advertising mishmash jokes back in the early-mid 00's.
I thought the local requirement for lending virtual cards was just for the first time, but now it looks like it's everytime. So much for eventually sharing with my out-of-state brother. Oh well.
While Arceus wasn't a technical powerhouse, it did have really good art direction, taking inspiration from classic Japanese painting. I kind of wish they had done something similar here (maybe try to look impressionist?).
I did get a rare pack once, during a 10-pack opening. Unfortunately, opening packs tends to glitch out on my phone (everything else works fine), and I had to close and open the app. I didn't lose the cards, I just didn't get to see the opening of the pack.
When I reopened the app, all I had to do was sort my master card list by most recent and scroll through everything I got from that 10-pack opening.
Can't really say I grew up with it (I was born in the Orwellian year of 1984, and was in 8th or 9th grade when the initial wave of Pokemania hit the States), but I can still identify with the sentiment of "Damn, that makes me feel old."
I guess a lot of things make me feel old these days. That's a lot of damns.
The new graphics look good in stills (and I like how they're more show-accurate), but they do not look good in motion.
I do like how the trailer uses Keith David performing the opening narration from season 2. It sounds to me like a new recording rather than archived audio. I hope he's in the game proper, even if it's only that narration.
I will buy, primarily because I want Disney to know that I want more Gargoyles.
@Bret Star Fox 2 got released later because they had it already done back in the day, but never released it. (Same for Earthbound Beginnings)
I believe if Pokemon TCG 2 were to come out nowadays, it would be more of a Fire Emblem NES treatment, where they actually do the translation recently. So don't hold your breath.
Don't recall ever having heard of Kung Fu Tea. I figured the nearest location would be something like 3 states away, but there's actually 2 in my city, just in places that I don't often have reason to go. I will consider looking into this.
I was considering using a duplication glitch to finish off my armor upgrades, but hadn't yet (still working on other things). I was always more interested in exploration and puzzle solving than combat, so I need more monster parts. Also star fragments.
Guess I'll wait and see whether the previous one works or keep working on it until the next one is found.
Are Wortsworth's readings middle English? I thought they were more like early modern English, like Chaucer (kind of a transition between middle and modern).
It was a lot like what I remember of reading Chaucer, where you can get most of it if you read phonetically, and then figure out the more archaic vocabulary from context.
Admittedly, when playing I skipped over most of that because it's a skill that I'm not accustomed to using when playing a video game. Maybe I should try again.

...Really? It didn't look like it'd be particularly demanding.

MASTER SWORD... APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD

Re: Want To 100% 'Welcome Tour'? You'll Need To Cough Up For Some Accessories
I've played it a bit. I think it's kinda funny that the skip cheat is good old Morse code.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Version 4.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Is it weird to actually prefer the lower frame rate? 60fps tends to give me uncanny valley feelings.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Four More Titles
I always wanted to try the original Survival Kids.
Now I can.
Eventually... (Hi there, backlog!)

So no mouse mode when playing on the toilet, then.

It really shouldn't be any surprise that Retro Studios knows what it's doing.

Edit: I'm late to saying the same thing, but I'm leaving it there.

It's actually 3 special booster packs today, 1 for each of the Genetic Apex variants.

Aren't there enough of these that they should get their own subject heading? I swear I read Randoom instead of Random.

I see no mention of an NDA. Not sure if that's interesting, or just something yet to come.

Re: Talking Point: Could Another Nintendo Series Take Over The 'Traditional' Zelda Template?
Mario. He does pretty well in any genre he gets into. Heck, Nintendo even experimented with this in 3D Land.
Re: Random: Sakurai Likens Boss Battles In Nintendo Games To Tutorials
I prefer exploration/puzzle solving over combat in general. The "mandatory" style is more like a puzzle, and is therefore more fun to me.

Ugly Sonic was great in the Rescue Rangers movie.

Re: Soapbox: Losing Control - Why Zelda’s ReDead Strike Fear Into Our Souls
Redeads in Ocarina were terrifying, freezing you in place and then squeezing the life out of you, heartbeat by slow, agonizing heartbeat.
Then Majora's Mask made them hilarious.
Re: Talking Point: So, Who Could Play Link, Zelda, Ganondorf In The Upcoming Zelda Movie?
I vote for Keith Daviddorf. The guy has excellent range and absolute ROARS.
Re: Review: Gargoyles Remastered - One For Cult Disney Die-Hards Only
As a Gargoyles fan, I do try to spend money in ways that lets Disney know I want more. That will include buying this, eventually.
I am cautiously excited for the Disney+ reboot, and I am loving the comics that started almost a year ago.
Re: The Original Switch Reveal Trailer Has Been Removed From Nintendo's YouTube Channel
I thought of searching for WiiU and 3DS reveals, until I remembered that was back in the days of live E3 presentations.

Re: Pokémon GO Introduces Brand New Multiplayer Feature 'Party Play'
The downside isn't that you have to be near other people, but rather that you have to play WITH other people.
I'll do Wednesday night raids for Legendaries I don't have, but otherwise I prefer the solo experience.
