I hope this is an optional inclusion, because I don't want any reminders of the sucky side of life, including reminders of how much the world is in love with the goddamn stench of coffee.
I'm not opposed to paying for special research, but the "other rewards" doesn't include some kind of special Pokemon encounter, then I don't really care.
For anyone complaining about airport selection, I see this as being a marketing experiment. I think Nintendo is feeling out the airport market to see if a chain of long-term in-terminal stores would be worthwhile.
I am honestly surprised that there's any confusion over Linoone. Rhymes with Zigzagoon, replacing zigzag with line (especially with the whole thing of how both run in straight lines and zigzags, respectively).
Sudowoodo is obviously (to me anyway) Pseudo-wood, with an extra oh because it's a playful sorta-kinda rhyme.
And even though I consider it incorrect, I'm surprised the Regice poll doesn't have an option for the incredibly common (in my experience) "Redgi-ice". So common, some people even mistakenly spell it with 2 consecutive I's.
I don't think all future events will be locked behind a paywall. I think this kind of thing will probably be limited to special research with the launch of EX raid bosses, which I don't mind, because I don't raid anywhere near enough to reliably get EX raid passes, and when I do, they're almost always at a time when I have to be at work anyway.
I remember when I felt really clever finding a glitch in Mario 64 after running around the circular section of the castle exterior's central spire and then jump-lunging into the front wall. Jumped through the wall and fell to the other side of the door, which I could run around in, and if you went through the door from this side, you'd end up with the interior of the castle, but on the outside of the door. You could jump through the wall from there and resume normal gameplay.
Goku can go and... I probably shouldn't finish that sentence.
If I were to care about characters of non-gaming origins, I'd go with Batman and Mickey Mouse. Mickey in particular has had several video games that a unique moveset could be crafted from: the costume abilities of the SNES games, the butt stomp from Castle of Illusion, the paintbrush from Epic Mickey.
No matter though. I'm also with Team Shantae.
I'd also prefer no more boring fighting game characters. Keep Smash Weird.

Re: Dr. Mario World Continues To Deliver With New Character 'Dr. Goomba Tower'
That is utterly ridiculous.
I tip my hat, Nintendo.
Re: Random: Hey LEGO, The Next Nintendo Set We'll Take Is Hyrule Castle From Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
I've said it before, but Lego Metroid needs to have the Metroid be a minifigure hat.
Re: Animal Crossing Villagers Are Now Referencing Brewster, Is A Coffee Shop Update Imminent?
@echoplex Patiently paying off a loan is easy. Convincing people that they're polluting my airspace with the worst stench on earth, not so much.
Coffee is the bane of my existence.

Re: Shantae The Half-Genie Hero Is Now Available In Funko Pop Form
Maybe the next Funko should be The Great Mighty Poo.
Re: LEGO Wants To Create More Nintendo-Themed Sets
If they make Metroid, the Metroids need to be hats.
Re: Super Mario Lego Is A Thing That Is Happening
Imagine Lego Metroid, with the titular Metroids taking the form of a Lego hat.
Re: Super Mario Lego Is A Thing That Is Happening
It's-a me, Mario! Let's Le-Go! Woo-hoo!
Re: Niantic Brings Paid Special Research Story To March's Pokémon GO Community Day
I'm not opposed to paying for special research, but the "other rewards" doesn't include some kind of special Pokemon encounter, then I don't really care.
Re: ESRB Rating Appears Online For Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
@Heavyarms55 Yes, actually.
It's in the original Wii description, and I generally understand "partial nudity" to mean bare midriff.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Gets Rated In South Korea
I have the Wii version and it's great. That said, I don't double dip frequently, so I'm going to hold off and see if there's sufficient new content.
Re: World Of Goo Is The Next Indie To Get A Physical Release On Switch
World of Goo in a steelbook? They should have made the case out of a squishy material.
Re: Reminder: Pokémon Bank Is Free To Use For One Month
So if I'm reading that right, after Bank's free month is over, then Home Premium will also cover the Bank subscription? Is that right?
Re: Nintendo To Provide 'Switch On The Go' Pop-Up Lounges At Select US Airports
For anyone complaining about airport selection, I see this as being a marketing experiment. I think Nintendo is feeling out the airport market to see if a chain of long-term in-terminal stores would be worthwhile.
I could be wrong, though.
Re: WayForward's Shantae Is Getting Her Very Own Funko Pop
Rather have an amiibo.
Re: Rumour: The Major Switch Title This Holiday Season Could Have "Tires" In It
It'll be a new franchise, and the star is Michelin Man.
Re: Pokémon Home Details Revealed: Free And Premium Plans, National Pokédex And More
So if I want to keep my living Pokedex, the annual price goes up x3. Going to have to think about this.
Re: Random: Erstwhile Nintendo Rival Atari Is Building A Hotel, Because Why Not
Atari's been pickled apart? What kind of brine did they use?
Re: Feature: So, Who's Next For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
This list needs more Shantae.
Re: Random: Sakurai's Three Finger Hand Gesture Has Sent The Internet Absolutely Bonkers
I bet the three-fingered gesture signifies that Sakurai is unable to bend his ring finger independently of his middle finger.
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate's 5th DLC Character Will Be Revealed On 16th January In Livestream
"MR. SAKURAI PRESENTS ???"
So the next fighter is Missingno?
Re: The Wacky World Of Crayon Shinchan Arrives On Switch With Surprise North American Launch
So apparently the adult humor of the Funimation dub isn't there. Kinda ruins the point.
Re: Nintendo's Old HQ Is Being Turned Into A Hotel
I can't wait for Hotel Mario!
Wait...
Re: Nintendo's Taking Ring Fit Adventure On A Tour Of The US
They should actually physically run it from city to city, Olympic torch style.

Re: Balthazar's Dream Has You Playing As A Dog On A Mission To Save Its Owner
I know it says you play as the dog, but I don't think that'll stop people from asking if you can pet the dog.
Re: Dr. Mario World's Latest Update Adds Donkey Kong And Diddy Kong
That is a lot of Ds.
Re: Get Into The Festive Spirit With These Ugly Nintendo Christmas Sweaters
"Get Into The Festive Spirit With These Ugly Nintendo Christmas Sweaters"
There is no such thing as Ugly Nintendo.

Well yeah, he does look like Red on 'roids.
Re: Video: Someone Just Beat Untitled Goose Game In Less Than Four Minutes
You can't finish a goose in 4 minutes. You'll probably get salmonella.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game today, and I am already spreading the goosepel.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 4th September
They'll announce that you can put a Mario hat on your horrible goose, and the internet will rejoice.
