5. STILL relying on the Nintendo Switch app just to be able to have voice chat? Get with the times, Nintendo. We've got Discord, so why not implement that?

What if something happens to me in Splatoon 2, say, for example, a power outage occurs in the middle of Octo Canyon or even Octo Expansion? And they expect us to learn to accept this? Nope. Instead, what they should do is add an IP ban to their anti-cheat system to tell hackers and tryhards and cheaters down to the hardware level to warn them to back off over to CAWADOODY so those folks can stay there. Dumbest decision I've seen Nintendo ever thought up. This is a MASSIVE backstab and spit in the face of Splatoon 2 players and should be rethought out. It's INSULTING that they'd pull this sort of stunt instead of IP banning cheaters and hackers AND tryhards of both the previous groups and such off of Splatoon 2.

She did say she basically witnessed those folks siding on Team Octopus, just to be friendly to the enemy team, spraying uninkable walls and squid partying in various matches.
I myself completely gave up at Octopus Champion after team after team essentially spawnlocked me quite rudely and ruthlessly, and I was pretty fine with reaching that rank at first, until I saw the results. That's when I called BS/shenanigans.
Do I believe that Pearl and Team Squid are winners based on what I'd been told on Discord? Heck no.

90% of Pearl's team sabotaged or cheated at Splatfest by going on Team Octo and being friendly to the other team, etc. Players would purposely join team Octo, then throw the matches by either going AFK or staying spawn shooting walls.
So no, Team Squid didn't catch a legitimate win in my (and my friend's) views. Nice try, because making this worldwide was a terrible idea. What a joke.

6. Nintendo Switch Online needs an anti-cheat service that permanently bans tryhards, hackers and autoaiming cheaters from games like Splatoon 2. Otherwise, it will kill the game like Splatoon 1.
7. No cloud saves for Splatoon 2? Shameful. Implement it and stop being so paranoid about "faked save cloud data" and "savescumming" and just make it a permanent server ban.
8. $20 just for the aforementioned NES titles (which I could, again, just plug in the NES Classic into my TV), the shoddy (again, aforementioned) cloud saves, and abysmal and what will likely be sporadic, odd discounts/special offers...? Eeeeeeh, come on, Nintendo, you can do better than that. For right now, you aren't quite winning my $20 over juuuuuust yet.

1. Permaban tryhards, hackers and cheaters with a hardware-deep anti-cheat permanently and faster;
2. Cloud saves for Splatoon 2. Stop being paranoid about it, Nintendo, savescumming isn't a thing, and no, "fake data" isn't something to be terrified about either. Permaban both with the same hardware-deep anti-cheat.
Also, we have NES games already. It's called NES Classic. Outta here with that trash.

What if something happens to me in Splatoon 2, say, for example, a power outage occurs in the middle of Octo Canyon or even Octo Expansion? And they expect us to learn to accept this? Nope. Instead, what they should do is add an IP ban to their anti-cheat system to tell hackers and tryhards and cheaters down to the hardware level to warn them to back off over to CAWADOODY so those folks can stay there. Dumbest decision I've seen Nintendo ever thought up. This is a MASSIVE backstab and spit in the face of Splatoon 2 players and should be rethought out. It's INSULTING that they'd pull this sort of stunt instead of IP banning cheaters and hackers AND tryhards of both the previous groups and such off of Splatoon 2.

@Yoshi "90%" is the basic figure a friend on Discord calculated based upon what she had witnessed personally; She had said that it had apparently happened in Japan, if my memory serves correctly from the conversation I'd had with them.
She did say she basically witnessed those folks siding on Team Octopus, just to be friendly to the enemy team, spraying uninkable walls and squid partying in various matches.
I myself completely gave up at Octopus Champion after team after team essentially spawnlocked me quite rudely and ruthlessly, and I was pretty fine with reaching that rank at first, until I saw the results. That's when I called BS/shenanigans.
Do I believe that Pearl and Team Squid are winners based on what I'd been told on Discord? Heck no.
@Sidon_ZoraPrince I disagree, from the conversation I'd had that I mentioned to @Yoshi. Also, if they're gonna do the "worldwide Splatfest" thing, then *absolutely have a clause in there that says "Cheaters and people who sabotage other players' matches aren't welcome to participate and will be met with strict repercussions", whatever repercussions Nintendo would choose to deal out.
@Spudworthy Again, I was told that it was about 90% of players "in Japan", so word has it from off-site on Discord.

90% of Pearl's team sabotaged or cheated at Splatfest by going on Team Octo and being friendly to the other team, etc. Players would purposely join team Octo, then throw the matches by either going AFK or staying spawn shooting walls.
So no, Team Squid didn't catch a legitimate win in my (and my friend's) views. Nice try, because making this worldwide was a terrible idea. What a joke.
