If you hadn't already heard, this little obscure game called Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! launches on the Switch this very month - on the 16th of November, to be precise.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company aren't resting on their laurels in terms of promoting this upcoming game in Japan, either. You can check out the four Japanese commercials below, all of which focus on the family-friendly nature of the game, and the way it brings together fans of the series, both old and new.
We really liked the one with the grandpa playing Pokémon GO in his allotment then joining up with his Switch-loving grandaughter on the Switch with Let's Go. Well played Nintendo; we're preordering Let's Go right now.

Awesome can't wait.
Adorable. And not even a forced scenario, my mother is hunting pokémon with her grandchildren in Go. :3
@Pod thats so Lovely! My Mom was a huge pokemon fan (is) she played up to BW but never got a 3ds, so she stopped there; getting an iPad interfered too lol.
Her Fave was the undergound; she loved digging hahah
I'm so envy to see commercials like that.
That was so Family oriented, there were some family members want to join in gaming time with kids.
It's so OPPOSITE with my life with my family and my relatives.
They don't even so friendly, yours is your, theirs is their, playing video games are considered as childish attitude for them but ironically they play smartphone games.
My life is Suck, i hate my family members and my relatives sometimes.
I guess all of you if still can getting along well with your family members in video gaming time, you are so lucky.
Me, myself, just the ONLY one in my family who still continue a hobby as Console / Handheld gamer when others don't care anymore.
@Anti-Matter aw, I'm sorry to hear that. I guess they just don't understand, or are not willing to try and appreciate the joy video games can bring you.
@Carnictis
That's real neat.
My mom's a little too old to have played the actual Pokémon series, but she always did enjoy puzzle games.
I’m not holding my breath but a Gen II style Alola post-game would be so sweet.
I hope that the Alolan forms can be obtained in-game somehow (without the use of Pokémon Go).
@Pod : That’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I’m really disappointed that it was mostly a fad at first. I loved all of the media coverage and the social chaos (and unity) that resulted from it.
I’m look forward to playing this with my kids. We’ve cooled quite a bit on Go but they are super excited for Let’s Go. It’s right at the top of their Christmas wish list. Having only played R/B/Y and Sun, I’m excited about being able to help them again. They both have yellow on their 3DS and I still remember that game like the back of my hand. Still let them know from time to time that their old man is the only Pokémon league champ in the house! 😎💪🏻
The excitement is real.
when did they ad the fortnite baloons to pokemon
Cheesy feels.
I don't give a damn.
If I wanted feels, I'd go listen to depressing/sad music.
This is just a game that will go the way of that one Metroid game on the 3DS everyone tore a new one over.
Love the expressions of japanese ash!
I don’t understand Japanese, so it’s a “meh” from me.
@Likethepear I'd guess few if anyone here that has commented understands Japanese well.
@Anti-matter That sucks. Sorry to hear that.
I teach game programming and design at a college and though some parents are enthusiastic, there is still a mix of parents who are frustrated with trying to keep their kids off video games and struggling to understand the legitimacy of the game industry and the possibility of employment for their kid. We started eSports teams this year, too, and that is even harder for them to take seriously, until they hear the word "scholarship".
You're not alone.
That said, there is the opposite, where sections of families are so into gaming that when they get together they just talk stats and details that no one else cares about and there is no other connection made except for the experience. Happens with sports, too. There are extremes on both ends.
Looks like fun and I agree that these situations are not that forced. This is the reason for Let's Go. Adults have been playing Go like crazy. I'm not entirely sure how this will land with my family.
Sun and Moon on 3DS was okay for the kids, but it didn't hold their interest long enough to finish the story even. Playing on those devices is so lonely and disconnected because nobody can ever see your screen. I think if we could have shared the experience more, we'd have had more fun. (Have I ever mentioned how I can't wait until good games stop going to the 3DS? lol)
Anyway, this should be a blast for awhile, and my wife has been into Go so she might stick to this. We'll see.
Would be great if The Pokemon Company did a commercial that features a young kid in the 90's playing the original Red/Blue then fast-forward to today and passing on the love of that game to his/her son/daughter through the Let's Go version. That would really hit me with all the feels.
“All the feels.” Radically hip, dude; bravo!
