Nintendo is turning their Youtube content into a state sponsored news channel essentially. They have a short(relatively) approved list of games you can talk about and if they don't like what you have to say they can take all the profits. The old dog can't seem to learn new tricks.

I wonder what will happen to people who are already platinum for the year.

I bought the gameboy version when Europe announced it would be removed. Now I can sell my rare 3DS Tetris Edition on Ebay for $1000.

The will they/won't they is so exciting. I just saw a Marth go for $75 on Ebay. I'm hanging on to my sealed Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer...for now.

There will probably be a million dollars made from selling these adapters. Just not made by Nintendo.

I'd love Nintendo to reveal how much money they've made off of this game. It must do ok for them to keep updating it 10 months after release. One of my favorites and well worth the price.

Bought one, never opened it, sold it in an online auction. The Pro Controller is really nice for Smash.

I bought the adapter at Best Buy but haven't opened it. I actually am fine using the Pro Controller. Now do I sell it on Ebay or return it to the store?

Toys R Us is doing 3 Amiibos for $30 on Friday and I'm getting 1 free with my preorder but I don't even know which ones I want besides Samus, Villager, and Little Mac (when it comes out). The exclusives will probably be just on my radar as collectables but I'm not too interested in the exclusive characters.

@scamander So I suppose you have some strong feelings about this Amiibo thing. I'm just saying they're scrambling to justify their existence. I'll probably pick up a few just as overpriced figures to have around. Obviously it's not going to be a huge thing for Nintendo outside of the fanboys who own WiiU right now. The big test will be when it hits 3DS.

My guess is that, like Smash, it's going to be Mii hats and costumes. Nintendo is trying to do as little as possible to make Amiibo a thing. It's like someone said, "Amiibo has to be out by Christmas so make it do something!". They should have developed a Skylanders/Disney Infinity ripoff game to go with them.

Everyone knows who to blame here. It's fun and disappointing to watch it all burn. Nintendo claimed 2014 was going to be their year but I think it's worse than last year. There are literally no games coming out that have me excited (not Smash/Hyrule/Bayonetta). My most anticipated game this year was Shovel Knight. I only bought MK8 so I could get Pikmin 3. My 3DS has been for eshop games only this year. E3 was a fun distraction but really just a way of saying "we have nothing right now but maybe in the future..." I feel better.

I'm really surprised that they keep updating this. I'd like to see sales figures on this game. No one ever talks about Rusty's Real Deal Baseball anymore so this must be the free to play winner. I'd like to see an HD version for WiiU. Give me a Silver Pike II! No, a Platinum Pike!
